Thank you for Filming local churches, It's always neat to see how different cultures and different religions celebrate / pray and worship. I know your intent isn't to bring that stuff out on purpose, I just wanted you to know i appreciate you at least just showing us for 2 mins on camera different locations and churches. It's a fun observation to see from an outside perspective off each little town / village.

I commented before I saw the icebergs. The icebergs alone would be worth the trip. They are absolutely stunning! They are so beautiful. The colors are gorgeous. How wonderful to actually see them up close, and get to touch them. It’s otherworldly. National Geographic worthy video. Thank you for taking us along!

Iceberg ice is the best in your drink. It can last all night when you are partying. A sewing needle tapped by a butter knife is the easiest way to chop off a chunk of a Bertie bit. It’s awesome. Newfoundland is my home. We have so much to explore.

Tony, I’m stopping here in the restroom line to make a comment before the iceberg tour. Your videos make me feel like I’m there with you and Don! On my June 2016 trip, we visited the towns of Tasiilaq (helicopter access only) and Kulusuk (WWII U.S. base was there.) Tasiilaq has its dump (not a landfill, since there’s no soil to cover the garbage) right at the edge of town, and the stiff winds blow the lighter stuff (mostly plastic bags) all over town. I went to a church service in their much smaller, not-ornate church, and it was cool trying to sing hymns in their native language. I envy you getting to see the museum and the observation tower! You are so generous to share these experiences with your viewers! Now - to finish watching!

This whole itinerary has been amazing to experience vicariously through you and Don. The glimpse into the life of the seaside villages and the amazing scenery has added this to my bucket list. I love the well kept colorful homes and how they pay homage to their past.

    • @stanislavkostarnov2157

to think that only a few generations ago most of the homes in Greenland would have been the earthen stone sunken structure variety that you saw in the museum... mass use of imported houses from mainland Denmark really only became a thing well after the war. (and yes, all the wooden houses you see come by ship, it's part of a government program to improve living conditions, the original houses were warm, but not particularly healthy places to live in... of course, in Iceland and famously on The Faroes, peat huts are still a very present form of housing, but they use new technology to make them safer for long term health)

I got paid THOUSANDS to go to the South Pole and play on icebergs. Yep, in the United States Coast Guard on the icebreaker. We pulled up on the ice and got to get off in the ice and play/explore. It was 8 feet thick so I think we were safe! The neatest place to go in my entire 20 years of service was Antartica!! We had an iceberg "class" where we learned about sizes and even names of the sizes of icebergs. The ice is typically double the size under the water that cannot be seen.

So jealous! We went on 2 cruises to Greenland and both times we couldn't go to Nanortalik due to weather and sea conditions! Such a beautiful town! Our tour guide in Paamiut told us that buildings were originally painted according to what function they served because the people couldn't read: black is police, stores were red, doctor or hospital is yellow, blue is factory such as fish processing. Now they can choose what colors to paint their buildings, but they have to get permission before doing so.

Hi Tony. Very early start to your day. Glad you were able to find a less expensive tour. That was a big difference in price. $10. To tour the museum was well worth it also. Plenty of time to look around at your own pace. The ice burgs....Wow!!! Being able to touch one as well. Definitely worth the cost on that tour. It's amazing how much of the ice is under water. The blue in the ice, absolutely gorgeous. As always thank you for all you do. That was amazing! ❤

Iceberg & glacier tours are pricey but usually worth the money. If you ever decide to travel independently (or do a pricey expedition cruise), you can go to Ilulissat, Greenland. The city is above the Arctic Circle so you’ll need to dress warm (30-40’s in September and it snowed). But it has the Icefjord. Get a window view of Disko Bay and you can see different view of the icebergs every day. Hiking to see the Icefjord views was amazing, too.

I've watched for over a year on TV and couldn't comment. I just did on Don's channel but it went to his broken toilet video. I git to experience Iceland from Viking ocean cruise. Saw puffins but like you, was emotional over the Godafoss and got to see Seydidafor. Beautiful. Then got to go on Viking Antartic exposition. You and Don captured the awe of icebergs as closely as can be if not personally there. It is also an emotional experience. One more thing, Penguins are so cute and so tame. You are to stay 6ft. away, however , they don't follow those rules so we have to adjust our distance at times. So worth the trip. Thank you for sharing the emotion of seeing such spectacular sights. Can't afford another. Still paying for those. Alice Boggs

That iceberg trip was scary. The icebergs calve just like glaciers. They also flip, roll and tip over without warning. They were way too close to be safe!!! I’m so glad you made it ok!! 79% of the ice is below the water. Also if one tips, it can cause a serious wake that will rock your boat!! 😮i have to admit i would have loved that excursion living on the edge of danger!!!!!!!
