    Wish I had watched your video before I went and bought some stablizer. Will use it for something else. Your way seems pretty easy. Thanks.

    Just cut up 12 shirts yesterday. I was hoping you were not adding batting! This was my thought. Great tutorial! Thanks

    I love this! Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial, I have watched so many and they always have the batting and the ironing, etc. and I just keep putting it off because it seems like more of a pain than it should be. You just inspired me to get my sons shirts out and get busy today 💕 thank you so much!

    I’m glad I saw your video you make it look so easy my niece had ask me if I would make her a t-shirt quilt. I got her all her t-shirts 3 months ago kept putting it off cause I kept forgetting to buy stabilizer I started to cut all the logos today and will sew it tomorrow awesome video thanks for sharing.

    This is a great tutorial; thank you so much!
    I was really apprehensive to do this without some type of backing but I trusted her instruction and it turned out great! The throw was heavier than expected and had great structure. The only thing I wish I would have really listened too is even out the thickness of the tshirts by changing top pieces. My corner T-shirt is very thin compared to the others and may not hold its form after washing?, we’ll see!

    I love your presentation on your video - short and straight to the point. I don't have a sewing machine. How would you hand stitch it? Thanks for another great video - a Craft Genie fan.

    It looks like you're using just a straight stitch, not a zigzag. Is that right?

    My husband passed away in January and He has lots of tee shirts! Not enough to make 5 of these, for his 5 children, but we will see who wants to help me with this project!

      Helen , I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sure it will be beautiful. My sister made pillows (1 t shirt front and back) fir her children and they loved them.

    Great tutorial! Thank you. Everyone keeps telling me I need to use a fusible webbing of some sort between the layers. Do you have issues with the t-shirts separating and going wonky? That is what everyone keeps telling me if I don't use it. I am doing a t-shirt quilt with all the kids, spouses and grandkids hands painted on it for my mom's 80th birthday, and I want it to be as light weight as possible.

      tappingflamingo no, I’ve never has one get loose or wonky- even after washing

    You did an Awesome job; and your demonstrations were Perfect; as well. So it's Not necessary to Add ANY Iron on Stabilizing to the shirts? Thanks A Million & Perpetual Success to You!👑

      thank you. I've never had to add any stabilizer to these. AL thought I suppose if you are using a very thin T-shirt it would probably help.

    Love your video. So you did not add batting? I want to make a tee shirt quilt !2" square, but want to add cotton sashing around (2 1/2") .And No batting. And will add same cotton material to back of quilt for it to be a rag quilt. My question is did you do any quilting in the 12" tee shirt square? Do you think this will be alright not to? Thanks.

  • @mariansnair972

    Did you use a batting?

    • @craftgenie7106
      @craftgenie7106  7 років тому

      no, the t-shirt material is actually pretty thick and batting is not needed
