Josh Allen is literally a one man offense. Outside of that cowboys game, he was the OFFENSE of that bills team.
2023
Allen
#1 total tds
#1 total yds
#4 pass yds
#5 pass tds
#1 rush tds (NFL record)
Most games 1 pass 1 rush td (NFL record)
Only QB over 40+ tds
League high 80+ percent of his teams tds
League best 5-1 vs playoff teams
Lamar
#15 pass yds
#11 pass tds
Not top 5 in total yds or total tds
Only 5 rush tds
Under 4k passing
Under 30 total tds
6 games under 200 yds
I mean, it would seem the voters are racist vs white players (Watt snubbed)
Look to last year - Fields goes 3-12 with 2,200 yds passing and got mvp vote.
Biggest one for me when talking about MVP. Allen = 86% of his teams scoring. Lamar was 52%. Nobody was even close to where Josh was.
@@STEALTTH7that was actually an NFL all-time record Allen got with 86% of his teams scoring production carrying them there. If you switched their names & gave Lamar Allens stats media would've marketed it as one of the all-time greatest performances in history.
He was also #1 for game winning drives
So voting for someone who had 50tds is a problem
Josh Allen being 5th is wild ! With the numbers he put up

Allen was the obvious MVP. Lead the league in yards and touchdowns with only one true receiving threat, who was the rookie tight end, since diggs lost a step and Knox, Cook, and Davis can't catch worth a damn, with one of the harder schedules
2nd Lowest turnover worthy play rate of playoff QBs.
His Receivers got less separation than anyone in the league according to PFF. #1 player accordjng to PFT.
When accounting for drops, he had the best EPA in the league.
And claimed the second 2 seed despite having to play against his own head coach, who cost him games after he gave the team the lead with 2 min or less.
Lamar wasn't even top 10 in some QB categories. Not even close to being the best at his own position, much less the league.
We all know why he was selected.
Whether your a person that thinks Allen deserved that vote or not, I think the larger point of discussion is that Lamar almost won unanimously in the first place.
The thought that it was almost unanimous in this year with some of the top performances when you think of the top guys id argue is even more infuriating
Yea Lamar had a very pedestrian year statistically. 3600 yards, 24 tds. Nothing screams unanimous
"The thought that it was almost unanimous in this year with some of the top performances when you think of the top guys id argue is even more infuriating"
Maybe try English next time? Also, to proclaim that there were "some of the top performances" is absurd. This is the weakest MVP winner season in decades. (Other than Adrian Peterson winning because anyone that isn't an ignorant CASUAL knows that no RB should even be considered for the top 10)

Have a good day!
Allen had much better stats than Jackson and Jackson played on a team with 7 pro bowlers. To claim Jackson is more valuable than Josh Allen is just factually incorrect on pretty much every level. The Ravens were playoff contenders last year without Jackson and Jacksons backup made the freaking pro bowl, because the Ravens are a stacked team. The Bills would struggle to win 4 games without Allen who is responsible for over 80% of the bills TDs. It's a popularity contest, white males are not very popular in today's society so everybody hates on Allen. But if you just base it on stats and facts, Allen was the MVP this year. And I love Jackson, he's a top tier dual threat QB and a nice guy, but when absolutely horseshit decisions like this are made by the sheeple it really pissed me off. I could have seen CMC, Purdy or Prescott winning it, or even Hill, because their stats were comparable to Allens, but not Jackson, his stats this season were not in the great category.
Josh Allen blew Lamar away in the stats category for 2023
Lamar was not the MVP, because he wasn’t the best quarterback or running back, but JA was the best running quarterback in the league period. The guy voted not because of the color of the skin but in spite of it, I think people vote for Lamar because of the color of his skin not because he really was the best player in the league.
Bingo. Only reason. The NFL is desperately trying to adhere to the narrative.
I am a fan of Lamar and am happy he is proving the haters wrong, but he was not the mvp.
Most of the league is his skin color tho they literally could’ve picked anyone else truth is nobody expected the ravens to be as good as they were last season
He single handedly saved the integrity of the MVP vote. Can you imagine a < 4K passing, < 30 total TD season getting a unanimous MVP vote? He was the only one with his head on straight.
Who has better credentials? the answer is nobody. Glad this guy was objective and picked the right MVP.
Allen:
86% of his teams total scores. Next closest was 68%. Lamar was 52%.
Total TD - 1st
Total Yards - 1st
QBR - 3rd (even with TO factored in)....still 5% higher than Lamar.
That alone should have sealed it.
Not enough?
Passing TD - 5th
Rushing TD - 1st (NFL record)
Passing yards - 4th
QB rushing - 4th
Success rate - 51.4% (2nd)
EPA/Play- .23 (2nd)
Total EPA - 136.1 (2nd)
Pass EPA - 86.6 (4th)
Rushing EPA - 49.5 (1st)
Sack % - 4% (1st)
Fantasty football (production) #1

Yep! And a coach who cost him 3 games this year after he gave him the lead. Allen was the obvious MVP

He’s a walking legend. Clowns. “Media” voting on athletes. These dudes didn’t start on pop Warner 😂
JA has the stats and the TDs to be MVP and should have won it.
Turnovers play a role and he simply didn’t have the individual impact that Lamar did this year. Dak had a much better year statistically but stats aren’t everything. Dak isn’t an MVP and based on this year Allen wasn’t either.
He also had the interceptions and losses so much so that they fired coaches and started giving the ball to the RB
His response made no sense!! At all.
Wtf? When does someone with not best get the MVP? Unanimous for what? Nfl is a joke
Well MVP historically just means best statistical QB with a team probably 1st or second seed...not sure why the criteria changed Lamar, normally it's a QB that leads league in a major passing statistic tds,rating,yrds...
MVP is voted by people who matter
Watch the games.

I would argue Allen has been more valuable to the Bills than Jackson was to the Ravens this season.
Lamar only had 29 TDs this year that less than 2 per game.
Allen had 44.
When Lamar doesn't score a TD, the ravens are 2-1 (winning record)
When Lamar only scores 1 TD, the ravens are 4-1 (winning record)
Meanwhile Allen has scored a TD in every game.
He only has 1 game with a single TD and the Bills lost.
Long story short, the ravens don't need Lamar Jackson to be that good to win games. The Bills need Josh Allen to be the best player on the field to win.
And I know Allen has a lot more turnovers. But Allen has 44 TDs to 22 turnovers (2.0 ratio). Lamar has 29 TDs and 13 turnovers (2.23 ratio). Similar ratios.
And finally, yes the Ravens got the 1 seed, but the Bills were the 2 seed. The Ravens have the best defense was the league. The Bills defense was hospitalized and literally had most of their starters out by the end of the year. But Allen still carried them into the playoffs
So Allen’s more valuable to the bills who lost them games solely because of him and beat the cowboys not because of him but when lamar doesn’t start Baltimore immediately loses out
shhhhhhhh. Stop using logic, it's RACIST!!!

Lamar was chosen as 2023 MVP because he's Black. We don't have to pretend not to notice. There two reasons for this, the first of which is principal 1) the NFL wants to protect itself from another Colin Kaepernick controversy and would do anything to obtain that objective even if it means choosing a paper champion as league MVP. 2) there is a certain school of thought which argues that just seeing Black people in high places encourages other Black people to take steps towards joining them. No study has demonstrated this to be scientific fact. I don't know -- it's not worth it to me. Lamar can't win a championship, showing that affirmative action in football is just as big a failure as affirmative action anywhere else. Deep down, Lamar probably knows he's being used. But he won't complain. If someone paid you $275 million to be a prop, you wouldn't either.

Lamar easily is the Ravens whole offense. They rely on him being superhuman more than any other team. Lamar is the best player.
The chiefs didn't seem to have any problem handling Lamar. And look at their stats this year, Lamars aren't even close to Allens. Look at what Allen did vs the chiefs defense the week before the Ravens played them then look at Lamars performance. Teams fear the Ravens more than the Bills because the Ravens are a better football team. Allen is the better QB. 4 straight years of over 4k yards passing and over 40 tds - first QB in NFL HISTORY to do that. Allen is terrible at winning popularity contests like MVP though so you have that.

Lamar would be better than Josh Allen if he had their team. Josh Allen also throws too many ints.
Josh Allen AVERAGES 35 pass attempts a game in their offense. Lamar only does like 28 And since Lamar has a higher completion percentage, even with the Ravens drop issues early, Lamar would have had more yards in the bills offense. So Josh's yards are not impressive.
Lamar also doesn't play the whole game bc they blew teams out and didn't pad stats. Ravens also run the ball waaayy more.
Bills also have steffon diggs, Gabe Davis and James cook. So yet again...not impressive for Josh.
