Kanji means Chinese characters, and it was invented by , well , the Han Chinese. I guess he has to ask the Chinese instead of asking the Japanese why Kanji is written as such.

This is taught in all history classes. Onyomi readings use katakana indicating that it’s a foreign reading. So I don’t think anyone actually thinks that Kanji is a Japanese invention.

In both cases, to keep holding people's attention the reactions became so fake and exaggerated that you can't help but cringe. They're ahead of the curve even when the thing they're making is utter crap.
@@vert2552 I have a theory that the reason Japanese humor is rooted in over the top reaction and high energy is because as a culture, they are expected to be calm and reserved as a whole. So, seeing someone act out in such a way is comical to them because of how weird it is.
