You deserve more SUBSCRIBERS. Videos are to the point, not overly done or weird (I mean, sometimes weird is acceptable…LOL). That being said….I wonder how easy it is to configure USB controllers for play and go back and forth to the LEGENDS arcade pad.
It was just six years ago the emulation boxes were extremely underpowered and mame arcade machines started at least $2K. This demographic has come so far in the past few years and its great that its become so accessible. Atgames has come a long way too by putting out a good quality entry level solution.
I agree with you I would rather use Coinops X but for people that are technically challenged I can see this being a useful product for them.As always nice vid!
Thanks for doing this review; I have an AtGames Legends Ultimate cabinet, and I'd like to get Arkanoid on it. If Super Console X won't let me use the spinners, I should find some other way!
For some reason on mine the alu will work in menus but the controls stop working as soon as an emulator for a specific system loads. Its pretty frustrating
Good video. Have you tried powering the SuperConsoleX with just the USB cable connected to the ALU? I seem to recall another UA-cam video that said it wasn't necessary to plug into outlet.
Very interesting Pdubs...but I guess I’m just like you . Playing on the ALU with coinopsx is better but the super console x has 270 more mame games than a 4.5 usb. Are those extra games any good?
Totally agree! CoinOpsX is all anybody really needs to get the most out of the Atgames family of products. Even the trackball games work great with CoinOpsX.
Not if you want to play killer instinct Naomi games and mvc2 and primal rage house of the dead coin ops and the internal hardware can only do so much .
@@thehoonta5312 The Legends Ultimate allows literal streaming from PC's and other devices directly to it. So that accounts for the titles you mentioned. Also the CoreMax is a more powerful operating system and it should be possible for a future native version of CoinOpsX to run some of those titles as well.
PDubs you can use the gamer pro control in usb mode on Emuelec 4.0. I could only test this with a go super but I would think this would work with the super console x as well.
Hello, today if i m right we cannot have all thoses x console games on ALU 1.1, coinops X 5 is cool but it s only 1750 games and we do not have PS1 games, dreamcast, n64, etc...
Thanks for the vid. Great option but I'm sticking with CoinOpsX. I understand the plug and playability of this and why it might be desirable for some, but for most of us who grew up with these games and know our way around a computer because we've been playing them for 30+ years, CoinOpsX is still far superior. If you can find your way around Windows, you can create a partitioned USB and use CoinOpsX. Heck, don't even create a partition and just use 2 USB sticks for CoinOpsX for that matter. Still runs and plays great for the most part. V5 of Sauce is coming and promises to be even more optimized and better. Best thing about it? It's free other than a USB drive(s).
I have coinopsx on my legends, i wish the legends had stronger hardware to run some games though, slightly under powered unfortunately. I wonder if this device runs better. Also does it enable save states. Coinopsx doesn't, not on the arcade stuff anyway.

Do you know if Super Console X plays Final Fantasy 7 well or if it is even on the game list? As for plug and play I still think it is worth buying a $40 usb stick from Ebay and just plugging it into the At Games. You just have to format, mount, install CoinOps X, restart and you have all the games at a much cheaper price point. The whole process takes 5 minutes and most of the ebay sellers have written instructions for the process so it is really easy to follow. Thanks for doing the video.
Really disappointed with OTG mode, I have yet to find a way to be able to use the spinners and trackball when I plug in a Pi. Which is kind of the point of having such a nice control panel for playing Arcade games.
