Film composer here, had to move my family across the country and I had a beautiful 22'x22' room with a ceiling that went from 9' to 20', huge 3 layered windows, massive fireplace. Took me over a year to finish. My room now is about 18'x 12, 9ft ceiling, nothing special but it's soundproofed and does the job. And it has a window. It was a heartbreaker but hey, the important thing is you can still work comfortably.
I loved seeing the spark in his eyes as he's describing his vision versus what the rest of us sees right now. Such a unique perspective of a true work in progress and I cant wait to see how the creative space turns out!
Oh, you know, just doing some chill, low-key demos... with PMC 8-2's, a Dangerous Liason, Bax EQ, Tube Tech and Purple compressors, a Manley Vari-MU, and a Rupert Neve Portico here in my humble little shack...
I mean, if yu worked your ass off and sacrificed and got super frugal you could get all of that in as little as one to two years. Especially with payments through zzounds and american music supply. Just gotta want it bad enough and not make life decisions based on anything other than music. Also, make money mixing/recording with the gear you do have, and put it all immediately into upgrading the gear along with selling off the older cheaper gear. Don't knock people for having nice shit when you have no idea what the did to achieve getting it.
Currently the same. sitting sideways on my bed now with my rack under a $25 desk from amazon, and my mac mini, uad interface and a 32in monitor set up, i got two mic stands barely in between the mattress and desk lmao, and theres no room for my HS8 monitors so I'm doing everything with Beyer dynamic headphones. I'm in between apartments and looking for a large massive studio apartment so i can sleep in the studio space, unless I find other musicians to live with, but this bed setup is the most productive I've ever been lol All my guitars and bigger rackmount interface and midid controllers are packed tight as hell under my 18in high platform bed and I have five $10 12in thick Bed Wall Wedge pillows in the corner to make it comfy and deadening reflections for vocal tracking 🤣
@@conjureconquercreate909 That's exactly what I've found! I have never got so much done in any studio setup! I bought a HD projector to avoid having to sleep with a monitor in bed! It's great, an 11ft monitor on the wall right at the base of my bed, so I don't have to lie on my side. I reckon in bed studios are the future! 🧡
Wow, nice temporary space. Is there a possibility that he might keep that storage container setup. Can't wait to see the next tour of the finished Studio. And Chris's drums tracks.....

Great video PLEASE don't put the pop in the speakers at the beginning of the video. It annoys the hell out of me on the Reverb adverts, and all the other advertisers that think it increases retention. I'm not subscribing because of this, but I like your videos.

Certain UA-camrs and adverts put a loud pop at the beginning of their advert/video to try and focus the audience’s attention on what they’re trying to sell. I’m seeing it everywhere, and nothing grinds my gears like it. Across multiple devices and only certain channels and companies. Reverb are the one that springs to mind the most as I get their targeted adds all the time. I’ve promised myself I’ll never buy from any company that uses this technique, knackering peoples speakers for advertising uptake. Do you hear this often on adds?
Never heard of this... that is a very bad technique to begin with. A loud click at the beginning will not keep people watching, good valued content will.

My studio is currently on and in my bed! Long story, but I can now lay in bed and still produce.
