I am planning to mount the Bluetooth mic under my seat.
So you cant connect your phone through the cubby usb that sucks. Do love the bike and the new screen. Not a deal breaker.
I was able to use a USB splitter and connect my phone and the bluetooth mic. My plan is to add a second usb port for the bluetooth mic. I might hide it in the fairing
@@RidingandWrenchingwhich usb splitter did you get?
Hopefully a software upgrade will fix this issue.
Apple requires the mic. They want you to use Siri
It's a good workaround but it also utilizes a USB port for no real reason right?, except to launch carplay without a headset, so it's tricking carplay to launch. You'll have to get a usb splitter to charge your phone no? Hopefully if Apple gets enough complaints they can update the software to fix this but you'll probably have to wait a few years for that.@@RidingandWrenching
I understand. It’s a good workaround but you have to use up a usb port which gives you one less for charging your phone. Hopefully if apple gets enough complaints they will update the software to startup without the use of a headset.

@@RidingandWrenching Just found your channel and sub'd. You seem a lot less hype-driven than a lot of channels. Thanks.
@@John_Ridley Running a UA-cam channel is alot more work than I had thought. It's also quite expensive (if you're trying to do a good job). BTW....I corrected my grammatical error! Thanks for pointing that out
@@RidingandWrenching Yeah I have a channel but it's just for funzies and I rarely post on it, and I have no need of an income so that's probably why I don't bother making videos very often and generally just one-shot them. Respect for the effort and the results.
But now you can’t charge your phone!
True....I have a fix for that. Video coming soon
Use a splitter
Why wouldnt you just connect your phone in the draw under the head unit and use ACP? Im not seeing a reason for wireless in this scenario 🤷🏼
Android can't get no love?? 💕
That's googles fault! But I heard that there is a hack for that too
