    Hope this basic outline helps you all and is a one stop place to find all the information in detail. All the links are in the description.
    As a dental student in USA, a great tip for international dentists would be to train your listening skills. It helps in understanding US accents and eventually helps in faster speaking ability as well. For this I try to listen to most videos or podcasts on multiple speed. Over a period of time I realized that listening/watching at 1.5 to 2x speed keeps me attentive about what is being spoken and helps me take in more information in less time.
    What are you working on?

      I totally love it. But I have also known some who don't. So I think the answer to this question is quite subjective

    Hello Dr. Sam, I am in India right now what all documents should I get ready as I want to appear for the exam at the end of this year. Will I be able to create dentpin? Should I get my ECE evaluation done now? And also LOR and transcripts?

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie
      @DrSamthedentisthomie  Рік тому

      All of the answers are in the video @helidholakia855. Need to improve on your active listening. Yes for all except the last one. But wait on the LOR until you get a visa to travel and clear your exams and start applying for schools. Or you may checkout some of the other videos on the channel for the other details. Good luck dear

      Yes @AmritAssi, absolutely if you want to do DDS. Unfortunately BDS /MDS from India is not recognized in the US and will still need to do 2-3 yrs of clinical program..

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie
      @DrSamthedentisthomie  11 місяців тому

      @sumansah6447 If one is an international dentist/student it is a required criteria on the university website to get into a US educational program. It is to prove one can actually read, write and understand the English language so that course work will be possible for the person. No matter of the citizenship/green card/visa. English language is not a requirement for US immigration! Two different things! Hope this helps.

      It depends on the country specific (Turkey) documents page on your ECE application. Please check that. In this video, I have shown the details for India at time stamp 13:07 .

      You don't have to stay in the US afterwards, otherwise have a big bank balance to support yourself.

    Hi Dr. Sam I am trying to apply to health informatics courses as well which required WES evaluation of the documents, I had already paid for the registration can I use the same evaluation method for dental school applications as well? Please assist. Is the evaluation required before INDBE exam?

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie
      @DrSamthedentisthomie  Рік тому +1

      Hey @poojita yadavalli, INBDE needs ECE for eligibility. Most dental schools accept ECE as it is more detailed unless specified on their webpages.

    Hi! I am from Perú but I don't know if its neccesary to have the dental degree, cause I just have the bachelor degree, so can I apply just with that?

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie
      @DrSamthedentisthomie  2 роки тому

      If there is no dental degree then you will need to go through 4yrs of DDS. International dentists can get in at year 3 and then year 4 of DDS. They don't have to complete the whole course again.

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie
      @DrSamthedentisthomie  Рік тому +2

      Hey @neeri , it's a practical test for international dentists to get into DDS programs which can include cavity preps, crown preps, endo, temporary fabrications etc on a mannequin depending on the dental school. Some schools have them some don't.

    Hello, Dr. Sam!
    In order to get accepted into residency programs, do I need to send my high school 10th and 12th marksheets for credential evaluation?

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie

      If your country specific documents page say so in the ECE application page then yes please do.

    • @AlabhyaVeerKumar
      @AlabhyaVeerKumar 11 місяців тому

      @@DrSamthedentisthomie okay... ECE says "if you completed (university) level study, it is generally not necessary to submit high school level documents" and to ask the US institution whether they want it... And ADEA PASS mentions only "official dental school transcripts".

    Dr Sam i have a question, i m dng my masters in health informatics here n currently on F1, what if i clear the inbde exam ? Do i have to again file for a student visa, or just change the sevis ID
    Pls explain this ?
    Thank u

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie
      @DrSamthedentisthomie  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Aishwarya, once you clear your INBDE exam, you do not have to change your immigration status/SEVIS right away. After this you will apply to dental colleges and ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED, you will receive the school's I-20. Then the DSO(Designated School Officer) of your old school and the new schools can guide you accordingly in the transfer process. For more details please check this website www.ice.gov/sevis/f1-transfers

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie

      Hey Roma Goklani, are you asking for a hygiene school? It's not a bad idea if you don't want to go into stressful dentistry but would prefer the less stressful hygiene department. Hygienists are comparatively paid too and there is a scarcity for hygienists.
