@@jonbjerke9696 I knew I needed 450 or 550 or the equivalent from another brand for what I wanted to do with this truck. Chose ford because that's what I've had with my van the last 3.5 years so I know it and I'm comfortable with it. The thing to know about doing one of these, is the 450 and 550 are considered commercial trucks so it's a whole different thing with insurance, maintenance and all that. With a f350 you don't really have to worry about that but make sure you consider the GVWR and how much weight the box and build will be. Putting the box on my truck added like 4,000 lbs or something.
Waiting to mount the boxes allows you time to make any repairs needed and repaint them.

How did you decide on F550? I have just started looking doing the same thing, but smaller, 10 ft box on F250 or F350?
