Dimash fully engulfs himself in the song he is singing. He serves the song, not himself. He’s not “showing off”, this is why you can feel the emotions through his singing. BTW, he can change his vibrato to match the person he is singing with. You can see this when he sings with Aida G (famous opera singer) and Lara Fabian in “Ti Amo Cosi. You might also watch “Ave Maria” where you can see true mastery of voice and emotion. It’s so beautiful it brought me and many others to tears. He just released “When I’ve got you”. You would definitely be amazed in the fancam version of the song it took Dimash 3 hrs to compose called “The Story of One Sky” that you can find by searching his name, title of song & fancam. The song is about the fact that all cultures live under the same sky and that the world needs peace.

Moving his stance, adjusting a foot slightly, again another foot, again and again, holding his palm against his throat feeling for the adjustment he was looking for in his vocal chords, arranging his facial muscles different ways for sound, his mouth shape, lips, tongue, neck, his posture, over and over for ONE NOTE.

I grew up in Quzakhstan, just asked my sister if she knows, maybe it was on a Quzakh tv channel, she said she'd check. Remember the video entirely, so intricate, physically and mentally challenging, it was astonishing how much work THAT was and thinking a whole song ! His body of work, well aware of thousands of hours of practice, even now 3 hours daily minimum just for maintenance, the reality of seeing it was mind blowing.

Dimash sings a song called Autumn Strong which has the same melody but with slightly different lyrics and is in mandarin. At the Kiev concert he adds a different ending which is also special. At his concert in dubai, he sung the first half as autumn strong and the second half as Ikenaide , satisfying everyone’s personal favourite. Simply exquisite.

His breath notes are just amazing. He starts with breath, then note, finish with breath. Also, there are times he goes from chest voice, to head voice to breath all in one note. He is a master at his craft.

if you want to see DIMASH live you must turn on your hunting mode. he gives like 3-4 concerts per year, and those shows are over 3 hours long :) but you can also watch his concerts on youtube :)

@alinedasilva8108 Yes, it is unfortunately true for solo concerts at the moment. But that makes them all the more special and absolutely worth the wait. His team puts a lot of effort into it to ensure the highest quality. He is very busy with composing, recording, shooting music videos and performances such as the recent big events in China. He is only one man after all.

Even though Dimash performed this song in the studio, it was live-streamed at the 20th Tokyo Jazz Festival on November 28, 2021. The song "Ikanaide" (Please, don't go) was composed in 1989 by Japanese singer-songwriter Koji Tamaki, with lyrics written by Goro Matsui. It tells the true story of Yoshiko Yamaguchi, who was born in China in 1920 to Japanese parents and became a celebrated singer and actress under the Chinese name Li Xianglan. After WWII she was accused of espionage and was deported to Japan, never to return to China again. The song speaks of the anguish, heartbreak, and final acceptance of this parting. Dimash performed one of the Chinese interpretations of this song for the first time during 'The Singer' competition in 2017, using the Taiwanese version by Terry Lin called "Autumn Strong" with Mandarin lyrics which are different from the Japanese original.
Ikanaide is not about Yoshiko Yamaguchi. Autumn Strong is. Ikanaide is just a love song. 😍

You did NOT pause too much, and you were sensitive to pause when a phrase was complete; you didn’t blab incessantly, but really listened and seemed to have the right kind of respectful admiration for Dimash - this song is about as perfect as a song can be, in my eyes (uh - ears). This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!". Daybreak is a different song about a cable car crash in China. Also beautiful. He was sick when he sang it on the Singer competition in China. After that he was much better.

Kōji Tamaki is a Japanese singer-songwriter of Ikanaide and Dimash performed a previous version in Chinese called Autumn strong ua-cam.com/video/FXQ58U-Eddg/v-deo.html this song is based in a true story about Yoshiko Yamaguchi who was born in China, hid her japanese heritage under a chinese name, became very loved. After WWII, her heritage was exposed, she was arrested, accused of being a japanese spy, and sentenced to death. She was ultimately cleared of charges, but was advised to leave the country, as she risked being lynched. Dimash is a master of the story-telling, his voice makes you feel deep emotions and takes you there where that song happened. Beautiful!! A Japanese reactor mentioned that his softness with the hard consonants is a function of how well Dimash understands and has learned the mechanics (tongue and jaw placement) of the Japanese language.
