One thing i find interesting in the way Kreia describes how to manipulate the masses is that she, as she often does, kind of foretells future events. In this case, the rise of Palpatine. Because he has not gone out to conquer the galaxy, not at first. He has done what Kreia said, found the weak points, established himself a influential person, then caused the clone wars to eventually form the empire. Pretty much exactly the way Kreia said it. It was only after that when he tried to rule through fear, by force and with the death star, that resistance formed and took the power from him.
So Palpatine is a good example for both, what Kreia said to do and what Kreia said to avoid. She often does this, kind of contemplating on future events through the guise of lessons, which i find very interesting.
And no, the whole universe wouldn't have to die. The whole point of the game is that everyone THOUGHT that life without the force was impossible. But when you cut yourself off from the force, Kreia understood that this wasn't true. If you could live without the force, then so could everyone else. By using you to cut the force off from all living beings, or at least all sentient living beings, Kreia could kill the force, but life would have still been possible. In fact, for most people who weren't Jedi or Sith, nothing would have really changed.
buggin you a year later, however I can't help but ask "how does she know that the rest of the galaxy will continue to survive?" I'm not talking about people or other living beings, but celestial objects: planets, stars, solar systems. How long and how much has the galaxy itself, not the living beings in it, survived because of the Force? Applying gravitational logic, surely it might result in the galaxy changing so drastically that it may end up removing entire species, or other places of significance to everyone. Simply removing the Force from the living? That I can see some point, but completely and utterly from the galaxy and the universe as a whole? That might contain consequences that may end up making the whole point from debatable to not worthwhile.
