A thing that's always bothered me, Shirley went to pick up THEIR kids. Why is Andre staying behind at the restaurant anyone's fault but his? Like, if I was out with my husband and got a call that my kid needed to be picked up I know for a fact that we'd both go get him. Like, it's not even a question. Past Andre is show to have always been kinda shitty and his choices are his own.
I didn't even think about that HAHA but you're right!! Staying at the restaurant while your wife goes to pick up your children is abhorrent behaviour lmao 😭
This is exactly what I thought too! Andre acted like Shirley was being selfish (or neglecting him) when she went to pick up THIER kids who were obviously upset. He should have gone with her without question, they're his children too for crying out loud. Then he just started wandering around hitting on random girls? Just...wow....
It is still emotional to watch these. We were always never sure if the show would return, and we already had the #sixseasonsandamovie thing going. And we needed two more seasons. :)
Congratulations! You've finished the gas leak year! As many have said, this season ain't that bad. It certainly has its ups and downs, but get ready, because season 5 is amazing! Looking forward to your reactions for it!!

The episodes are out of order.
Chevy left after they shot the mock doc episode with the racist hand puppets skit. He hated it, got in a tantrum rage against the producers in set, and in anger said " next time you're gonna make me say --the N word-- "
nbc then fired him.
He wasn't completely wrong that hand puppet thing was out of pocket. He handle it massively wrong
As I understand it, they saw the writing on the wall with Chevy and filmed some of his parts in advance, so they could stitch it in if he quit. Which ended up being the case.
Kind of ironic that Chase tolerated Harmon more than season 4 production
I don't blame him in that situation. There's ways to make his character the way they want, as they did for most the previous seasons. He still said racist things, but in a way that was either funny or making him look like an ass in a funny way. But the puppet skit wasn't funny at all. It's almost like they just wanted to humiliate Chevy and make people hate him. At least, if I were him, I might think that. And worry that they'd try and write even worse things for me to say or do.
So.. I don't really blame him at all in that situation honestly and I'd probably say something too. Honestly I might even suspect they were trying to push me to the point I'd quit or something. 🤷🏻♀ People talk a lot of smack about Chevy being "difficult" but this was just someone standing up for themselves.

I think the origin story episode is one of the most entertaining of the season, however I still kinda hate it. Personally I really dislike how the whole fate idea is going against the core concept of the show of having this group of seemingly very dissimilar people who happened to be brought together at this particular point in time through different circumstances and somehow making an unlikely connection
yes, the animosity between chevy chase and the rest of the cast and crew reached a boiling point and he wasn't in most of the episodes bc of his own abhorrent behavior

i remember the only time i won a class superlative was at a school i was only there for during the last 4 months of second grade and it was a very snobby, stuck up, mean girl type of school. i won “most unique”, which was code for “least popular”. this is the same class i was in when i spent 2 weeks in an inpatient facility for trying to kill myself after my classmates encouraged me to do so

I can see how they thought it would work and operate as a way of bringing him back. It just didn’t work in practice.
Also kinda disappointing that it’s an anti-climax at the end of S4, but I can’t imagine how it would’ve paid off satisfyingly so…
It was actually my favorite part of this season. One of the few season-long bits that worked imo.
Neither was the dictator Chang plot though and they had to try to undo all that insanity somehow.
heroic origins is the worst of the series imo due to it's lore breaking trash arc.
I've seen this sentiment expressed online, but I'm unsure what lore it's breaking. Can you explain?
A small detail, but it would've been easy to get right. But the established story was that Troy dislocated both shoulders in his keg flip.
And we already knew he did it on purpose!
@@shadowcatreactsas mentioned above, Troy admitted what happened to himself. And Abed would have recognized Shirley's kids & vice versa when he originally met them on family day. It spits in the face of those who respect continuity imo. Looking forward to your S5 reactions ✌️😎
