Spark plugs are always overlooked but are important to replace. Its really not that complicated to replace them so why not do it yourself and save money.

Thank you!👍🏻 made it so simple and believe it or not most shops are charging $350 American to do this simple task.

i never use anti-seize.. NGK spark plugs feature what is known as trivalent plating. This silver- or chrome-colored finish on the threads is designed to provide corrosion resistance against moisture and chemicals. The coating also acts as a release agent during spark plug removal. NGK spark plugs are installed at the factory dry, without the use of anti-seize. NGK tech support has received a number of tech calls from installers who have over-tightened spark plugs because of the use of anti-seize. Anti-seize compound can act as a lubricant altering torque values up to 20 percent, increasing the risk of spark plug thread breakage.

This is awesome! Great video. Also thanks for the design to the engineer's. I replaced my Sentra 2010 spark plug few years back and it was such a pain. I had to remove so many components before getting access to the spark plugs. This is cool. Cover off and that's it access to the plugs. I hate how some cars are designed.

Awesome video! This may seem kind of dumb, but thank you for putting the correct year of the CX-7. I clicked on another video before this one that had 2005-2012 and he told me i had to take the whole car apart!! I knew that wasn't right. I hope you have more CX-7 videos.

So I know the engine is super clean and kudos to you for keeping it that way, but I would advise that you blow out the spark plug hole with some compressed air or canned air before taking the plug out, just incase there should be any stray debris inside it, even though the coil is sealed. I had some minor dust fall into my cylinder from the plug thread, not much I can do about that though,

Thanks for the video! Just crossed 100k on my 2011 GT so I am going to do this in the coming days. Was already pretty confident this was pretty simple but it's always nice to have a video confirm it.

Thanks great video man. Do you have any good reference videos on how to purge the fuel injectors on these engines?

Great video! Would you suggest changing the coil-on-plug boots at the same time as the spark plugs, or is that unnecessary?

What if the bolts before the coils are hard to take out?

My normal shop wanted to charge me $250 for this on my Mazda5 (same engine). I thought that sounded crazy high. Sure enough. Its something that takes 15 minutes of labor and anywhere from $30-60 in parts. Seeing this i'm just going to do it myself.

I heard that new plugs don't need dielectric grease or anti seize lube? Also aren't you supposed to disconnect the battery? I know that new plugs they say not to gap them as they're pre-gapped if you buy the correct ones and they say to NOT gap them or clean them.

Oh man! I should have watched the entire video before doing this. Something went terribly wrong and I had to weld the sparkplugs into the head. 3/4 cylinders have compression, is that good enough?

What's a good set of wires for this, and how difficult to change? Thx.
