- A dream comes true: for the first time in its history, BMW M’s model range will be complemented by a BMW M3 Touring. This is the third episode of the BMW M3 Touring story, which takes us from the development process to the ultimate endurance test on the Nordschleife. Stay tuned for the next episode.

BMW M3 Touring Provisorial values: Fuel consumption weighted combined in l/100km: 10.3 (WLTP), CO2 emissions weighted combined in g/km: 235 (WLTP)
BMW M3 Competition Sedan: Fuel consumption weighted combined in l/100km: 9.8 (WLTP), CO2 emissions weighted combined in g/km: 224-223 (WLTP)
BMW M4 Competition Coupé: Fuel consumption weighted combined in l/100km: 9.8 (WLTP), CO2 emissions weighted combined in g/km: 224-223 (WLTP)
Official data on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. I’m also that customer that hangs onto my E61 N54 because you guys don’t offer a true touring. Help us out a bit.

I just bought a 2018 M3 Comp. Couldn’t buy the new one cause it’s such a departure from your normal cars. I have a feeling that on a wagon, that new grille might look better. Who knows. Good luck with this build and I hope it looks better than the current M3 and M4.

Dear BMW M. Please upload your contents more than 1080p resolution. We're living in 2022, so please please shoot it with the better camera at least like Sony A7S3 or Canon R6. Anyways, thank you for uploading these contents regularly. It makes me want to own a M more and more. I'm an X7 40i M sport package owner( not a real M but M light ver.) and frequently participate in BMW Advanced driving center in S.Korea. As a customer and an enthusiast of BMW, I highly suggest that shoot every contents with the better camera or upload them in higher resolution. 1080p doesn't seem to hang out with you guys. If resolution represents BMW M? At least, 4K or 8K is more like it. Thanks in advance.

One might wonder why BMW Group is the only German car company that never made a proper sports car (except the super rare - 453 units - M1, 41 years ago). But hey, they have now the fastest 4-seater (as opposed to the 2+2 seating of a GTR or a ZL1, which anyway remain to independently prove their supremacy) of all independently tested cars on the Nordschleife (G82). And its derivative the G80 will most probably then be the fastest 4-door around the Ring, with this G81 surely being the quickest station wagon ever on the Nürburgring. That’s how you do it: back to basics. And introducing the car with leisurely-clad Bavarian dialect-speaking guys (instead of an English speaking male model) is genius. Weiter so Jungs! 👏

Was heißt denn: wir werden ihn nur bringen wenn er sich wie ein echter M3 fährt? Nur weil er hinten einen "Rucksack" dran hat aber Chassis, Fahrwerk, Reifen, Motor etc alles gleich ist soll er sich anders fahren? :D Tolles Projekt, freue mich den den auf den Straßen zu sehen!
Interesting fact, found out that the BMW G81 M3 Touring did not pass the United States 🇺🇸 NHTSA and IIHS Crash Tests. So for BMW to pass the U.S. safety tests the BMW engineers would have to update/upgrade the touring chassis. BMW M, I say get it done!
wich is weird, because EU safety quality terms for vehicles to pass are much stricter within the EU.

Exactly what I wanted in my next car! I love the wagon style and BMW. Sadly not many wagons are made nowadays... + most are too offroad styled for me or electric as I prefer gas.
