My favorite version of this song by Home Free. I think Johnny and June would be proud!
Those judges had the speakers behind them so I'm pretty sure that's why they were coming out of their seats at the last low note Tim did. In concert, that bass goes through you also, you can feel it, he's blown speakers, brought down ceiling plaster, he vibrates the floor. It's an experience.
They "showed out" here and glad you noticed THIS WAS LIVE!!! Yes they are amazing in person, and if they get to the UK please move heaven & high water to make sure you see them. It's not just a concert, but an entertainment show...you will sing with them, maybe shed a tear, but also have so much fun...Best 2 1/2 hours you'll spend that year, ....guaranteed !!
Last year we saw them in concert with my daughter who sat in the row in front of us for the performance... I leaned forward to whisper something in her ear, and Tim's bass voice vibrated the entire venue so much that I nearly fell into her lap.. His bass is mind blowing.. and they are all so talented!! "Blue's Not Your Color.". or "In The Blood" and my new favorite is "When A Man Loves A Woman" Thanks!

I've heard Tim say in interviews that the producers would suggest certain songs, but they were not required to do those songs, so they did have the final choice within the topic the judges selected.
Things are a half-step lower there than in the later Music Vid version. So Tim's last drop-note is an F#1 rather than a G1.

When they sing this at a live show...that last note is even lower....the fans just wait for it! There are videos on YT you could check it out !
One of the things many people forget is that when Home Free did this live performance, it was the first time anyone had ever heard a version of this song that was SO different than the Johnny Cash original. It was a huge risk to do what they did to this classic song! Gutsy to debut it in the contest.
In the beginning when they show all the groups together, you can see " Voiceplay" to the left. They were on at the same time competing,
Tim's low voice never ceases to surprise people, and during their videos his voice seems to affect females more. It's fun to watch, and funny!
It's really hard, for me at least, to hear 2 people talk at the same time, and although I know what the judges are saying, I can't understand what you are saying. It could be because of my bad hearing, so maybe it's just me?

I'm enjoying your exploration of Home Free. The Judges give them a theme or genre and the artists pick the song. Pick the wrong one, and you get sent home. haha.
I saw them perform this live and at that time they let you record them with phones. When Tim hit that last note it made my phone go to nothing but static.
Gotta remember that there is no rule on dropping back and giving another listen ... especially when you may have missed something. Gotta be careful/mindful during the "Play", you'll miss some key info. This was the 1st Home Free performed "Ring of Fire" ---- LIVE is a whole different experience in person, just sayin' (yer life will never be the same!:). You haven't missed any episodes, you're on track.

Home Free was not in episode 3. They split the contestants into two groups and showed them on successive episodes.
You should do some reactions to the concerts posted by audiences especially state fairs where they broke the sounds systems

This was great... I'm so glad I saw it in its original broadcast! Next is Pretty Woman, and it's even better!
The judges gave guidance and set the criteria for the songs. I think the first one had to be a 'party song' and this one was 'my generation', etc. But the individual groups chose their own songs. The shoe is no longer broadcast, it was cancelled not long after Home Free's season.

I have an inexpensive headphones. I paid $20.00 USD and it works great and you hear all the voices much clearer.
As others have commented, this was Episode 4, but it was Home Free's 3rd perfomance so you haven't missed anything. Their 4th performance was "Pretty Woman".
Home Free did not appear in Episode 3. Half the groups appeared in episode 3 and the other half in episode 4.
Also they just learned to do it.
This version is amazing. Avi ruins the “perfect” version IMO.
Can you do a reaction to Alter bridge darker than their wings live at the royal Albert hall. It’s rock but watch out for the high note at the end

The Sing Off was GREAT. And the origin of HOME FREE's Ring of Fire. I like this video. And this is just a suggestion. Pause the video when you want to speak.
