The Windsurf Project - Project Five - Cabo Verde

Cabo Verde is one of the all time destinations for windsurfing. It's a magical place that has felt like home to Thomas since his first family holiday there over 20 years ago.
This was filmed over two years on two seperate forecasts. Covid played a big part in delaying putting this film online. We unfortunately lost our lead sponsor down to the pandemic, but, we love these trips, we love making films and hope this gets you fired up to go out there and chase some waves!

Bit knarly at 15 minutes when the wave runs out of water to expose the reef. Epic dtl makes it look easy. In my dreams i ride like that. 👏👏👏

With the way the industry, competitions, etc, are going for the wave segment especially, if support for these sorts of projects doesn't come from windsurfers, it probably won't come from anywhere else soon. And these are the only windsurfing productions that I've seen in recent times that put our sport on display to a level that surfing, formula 1, or other more monetized sports have been mediatized to, from a video production stand point. Not to mention aerials over sucking dry reef by the master!! 🤯

The Cape Verdes and their people are very nice, the waves there are awesome, but too less wind.
I have been there in january and I had just 8-15 knots 10 days long… 🤷🏻‍♂️
