I'm playing as Austria currently and I've gotten one new ruler since 1066 and the byzantines have had 10, 4 being the same guy 4 times

I checked the title history and the ruler changed every 3-4 years ^^
I just declared independence at one point and joined the abbasids

If you hybridize with Basque culture you can get ritualized friendship which can help with getting claims if you become best friends with the pope and get a strong hook on him and get massive claims every 5 years
Basque also has egalitarian ethos (helps with playing wide) and visigothic codes so you can get high partition early.

Hey Snap, great trilogy you made thank you. I have a few tips I would suggest for next time though. First, you could've made the kingdom of Sardinia before you made the Mediterranean one. That title would've been landless but it counts as a kingdom, which means you can give it away.
Second, you had half of venice at one point, the Venice kingdom is only 2 titles and is extremely stable. You also could've taken Cyprus, another quick Kingdom.
Third, your conquest of France actually also took Brittany, which means you could've gotten two kingdoms for the price of one.
Overall this was a fun series and thanks again for making it!!

Yeah! Was suppose to do a LOTR video this week! but had this series take longer than expect!
No coincidence, I was playing as the Sardinian dynasty in my own save and reached a point where I am trying this decision. I could really understand when you said "it's a stressful way to play this game" having to check how my dynasty members are doing with their land. I am now 8/10 and literally killed several 1st and 2nd in line for thrones for this 😂😂
pro tip: get your duchys and get them to have them have feudal elective.
this makes it so if the highest title u have is a kindom, all counties on those duchies will always go to your main heir as long as you vote for him.
(mixed with high crown authority letting you choose your heir , you can effectively get primogeniture in the start date)

this also can be applied if your highest rank is duke, by slapping feudal elective on the duchy you personally hold the counties of and making another duchy your primary duchy.

The worst things to ever happen to me is my heir joins his wife in her court. She always marry their children off the dumbest most irrelevant people, they get lover's pox, or any number of terrible awful decisions.
For real, my son decided "yes Queen of Aquitaine dearest, let's marry our son off to a random fucking peasant dwarf with lover's pox"

You can just disable the tournament and grand tour activity icons to pop up whenever available in the activity tab. So you don't have to click them away or be annoyed by them.

you can always call House members as the house head, but only if you are the head of the dynasty you can call dynasty members (sounds logic, right?)

Couldn't you get the marriage if you got yourself involved in the struggle for Iberia? I thought the struggle took some of the malice against religious marriage. Anyway, my point was Amazjng series!

You should do a game in russia i havent seen you do one yet. Maybe try and form the kievan rus a couple hundered years earlier? I tried to do it as the novgorodians but i didnt as the khazaruans snowballed in my game.
You could've stayed the head by keeping one of the large titles and giving away your current land.

This was a fun series to watch, excellent job! Maybe next time you could try to restore the Roman Empire from the Mediterranean decision or go from the High Kingdom of Mann to Securing the Mediterranean to Rome. You invaded most of the Roman territories in this playthrough anyway!

Could you win a crusade, switch characters, reform your faith win a great holy war and then switch characters again? If so, there are some interesting possibilities.
Maybe Ruthenia was in a war and they converted his heir - I’d love to see you convert the whole world through converting heirs into some small start faith like ibadi
WHat you could do in future to show dynasty sprawl on the map is change the colours of the various cadet branches and houses in your dynasty so they match. Love the videos, keep it up :)

When founding a holy order, I think it's best to grant them city titles. That way they don't take castle or temple titles and Noone actually cares about city titles
