RV Shopping At The Daytona International Speedway RV Show

We visited the RV show at Daytona International Speedway to check out some of the 2024 models and to get an idea of what we'd like to look for in our journey to purchase a trailer.

The $44k trailer was crazy. I don’t think I’d ever want to leave the road if I had that much trailer space.

The tickets for the Tampa rv show are good for two days and if you wait till the last day you will get a better chance of a deeper discount cause they want to deals. Good luck in your search.

I’m with Mary, lol. I had no idea what was going on inside those trailers (I still have images of 1980’s-vintage, very basic trailers when I see them on the road), so this was eye-opening. Some of these are amazing.
Good luck on your search - would love to see a follow-up when you ultimately make your purchase.

Some of the trailers really pack a punch with creature comforts. I always laugh to myself when I hear people say they are “camping” when they’re in a fully loaded mobile apartment and I’m in a pop up tent. :)

Go ahead and get a truck. You’re not gonna like pulling a camper with an SUV. The short wheel base allows for too much sway. And you pull more weight with the truck. We have a Chevy Silverado and we can tow up to 8500#. I am so excited for your new adventure. We love ours!!!

Some of these are nicer and cheaper than my house! But why are they all basically the same color?

As an Rv owner. Every build quality stinks unless you go to a Deisel pusher. Youde think buying one new would be less issues. But youde be wrong. If you do do it. First upgrade I suggest is new tires. China tires bombs will surely mess your vacation up.

Personally if I had to do it again. I’d try to find a used one 2-3 years old with a previous owner that did all the dirty work fixing all the manufactured defects.
