Winnebago did a good job refreshing this model. I do like the outside kitchen area. I love the fact that it is 30 feet with two A/C’s. The full-body paint is a great option. I do wish the 50-amp power cord was on a reel. It has nice exterior storage for a 30-foot Class A motorhome. Winnebago did a nice job refreshing the interior as well. I like the pop-out desk for the front passenger. The drop-down bunk operated fast. The sofa and dinette look comfortable. The 12-volt breaker panel is in a bad spot underneath the dinette. It will be kicked often, which will damage it over time. I would change the kitchen area by changing the upper cabinets to allow for a full-size microwave. I would also replace the two-basin sink with just one to have more countertop space. Lastly, I would install a backsplash that went around the cooktop. Thanks, guys, for another great video!
Matt and Andrea… well done. We currently own a Winnebago Class C and absolutely love everything about Winnebago! I will respectfully disagree about piano hinges under dinette… we are able to access a lot of storage! Also love the W’s… it’s the little touches. As a Winnebago owner, I can attest that Service is amazing!!! My husband and I are beginning conversation of moving up to a Winnebago Class A… your review was so helpful!
Matt and Andrea, great review. This is a great entry level RV with a nice price point. I do appreciate the more modern updated interior. Here are the things that would up their game a touch: 1. Finish on front of bunk, the metal showing just looks unfinished, 2. Complete the backsplash, 3. Cover gas tank behind locked compartment for theft and vandalism issues, and 4. Daytime shades.
Really like this! Like the rustic look of the trim on slides and cabinetry. Love the outside kitchen and exterior paint. Also love how Winnebago always puts towel hangers on the bathroom doors!! Good bed size but room is a little tight. Beautiful RV.
Exterior is excellent and refreshing... I like that they've incorporated a lot of the Navion design elements; clearly trying to make the Sunstar seem more automotive oriented and less box-like. The interior hasn't won me over just yet, but I do like some of the new elements/ looks. One thing I've recognized when we were looking at Winnebago is that they are hit or miss with their cabinets, and, they are definitely better looking in person. That said, some things seem dated, almost as if they were trying to go retro in appearance. Overall, it's an improvement..., but not enough.
Another great walkthrough! I love everything except 1 - EasyBake microwave and small oven (just give us a large convection microwave) 2 - non PPP toilet 3 - tv placement is only really good if you’re on the sofa
I like the paint job and that it has an outside kitchen, but the outside kitchen should have a grill or a cook top. I don't like that there is no room with the slide in. Love that the seat are across from the TV. Great review guys!
The word you were searching for was “redesign”. Seems minor but I LOVE the cubbies one each side of the bed. Nice layout. I agree with Andrea about the auto-leveling pad. You two aren’t old enough to need reading glasses but for the rest of us that will be a difficult spot to “read”.
The dinette did have hinges…just looked like something was broken in transport. Also, my opinion, winnebago’s style is much more understated and timeless. I wouldn’t mistake it as not being innovative. Some cheap chrome or ultra-trendy designs that will look bad in 3 years isn’t innovative. The Winnebago interior design will still look decent in 20 years.
Hi Matt and Andrew! My likes are the outdoor kitchen, the sofa, and the paint job and the interior. My dislikes the passenger mirror, the bed too high. That’s all my dislikes. Great review Matt and Andrea! Thus us a green Winnebago. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
The cargo capacity 1724 pounds is pretty small. You have to account for the minimum stuff people normally carry. 250 for water, 300 driver, 160 passenger, 300 bikes & rack, 100 for (pots, pans, dishes) kitchen items, 100 for outdoor items, electronics 150 the basics come to 1300 to 1400 pounds that leaves 300 pounds for EVERYTHING ELSE!
Andrea you look beautiful. Nice model I don't like the A models I am definitely a C Class lover. But I love the price. That is an amazing price for a new class A
We absolutely love this floor plan. We wish we could afford the National Parks edition but we might have to go down and get one of these. Great review Matt
Looks like the passenger side windshield wiper is not aligned properly towards the bottom edge of the glass (it is parking much too high up, when compared to the one on the driver's side) & it also looks like the rubber hose for the passenger side windshield washer fluid sprayer is disconnected & hanging loose as well...
Nice overall RV With that compressor fridge I hope there is solar on the roof I would also subtract the full body paint and invest it in Liquid Spring instead
Looks fantastic !!!! My dislikes are the bed, the leveling and why not drawers in the dinette ??? And full drawers not half. Also, that mirror is weird looking
Nice video. Wondering if the theater seats recline (not demonstrated). Is Winnebago still using "bonded fake leather" for interior seating? Ask anyone as after a few years they start to peel terribly. Mine did after only three years. I would also like to get rid of the archaic propane stove and oven and replace with a removable induction cooktop that can be used outside as well, and put in a name brand convection/microwave. It would be nice to have a larger front camera/radio display as well with built in GPS. It would also be nice in future videos to demonstrate the access to checking the oil, water and P/S fluids. Did not see the batteries also.Nice Class A if the pricing is right...
I like the outdoor body style but the outdoor kitchen had more useful storage before. Love the sofa but miss the second pantry behind the dinette that pulled out.
Why on Earth would you take out an oven to replace it with a drawer. The oven adds more flexibility for preparing a meal. You can be baking a casserole in the oven, while warming something in the microwave. When you aren’t using it for cooking you can use the oven for storage. You may not like to cook or bake, but the person your trying to sell your RV to might feel differently and you don’t want anything to be a negative in the sales process.
Love the new upgrades! Dear Winnebago, please make it so you can adjust the seatbelt height for short passengers like you can in a car. The dark flooring in the 2023 is a deal breaker for us buying this model. Otherwise we would be buying today.
Matt, my wife and I are just beginning to look in to full-timing in something like this. Are there any options from any manufacturer for a diesel motor in a class a under 30’?
Wow you guys complain a little too much about a little too little!!! I like the dinette seat that you gotta move cushions and things and set up in bed mode or back into seat dinette mode, it makes me feel involved and like Im doing something worthy and helpful as in dads gotta set the beds or just a minute dads gotta set up the beds, like its a thing I pride myself on doing something for my fam. mostly LAZY people don't like doing things or getting involved with set up or take down. I love it. Even like putting up the tents, grabbing all the stuff outta the car for the hotel stay! I love it. I don't need stinking piano hinges or EVERYTHING AUTOMATIC. Let's Go. Dads got this.
Matt, I totally understand your not being able to “get on the roof today” with the attached ladder👍but can you please tell your viewers now why you were “never able to get on a roof” when using the USTEPS ladder😯
@@gregtroublemaker1862 Since returning to General RV Matt is once again getting on some roofs and walking the length of the RV👍He “never” got on a roof when using the telescopic USTEPS, just videoed from the ladder, which made it useless for roof maintenance
I was hopeful until the inside. I think the winnebago design team likes nostalgia of winnebago past. Its new but still looks old and earth tone 70s brown wood which is good for some if your going to buy this and drive it to the lake and park it for its lifetime like many do with winnebago then this is for you. Floor vents not good for the lake life.
No washer/dryer area, deal breaker. Should have put drawers in bathroom. Don't need the outside kitchen. Agree with all 3 'not like' issues. Size is good, kitchen area ok..would rather have induction stove top/no oven and convection microwave. This would free up some space for more drawers or possibly dish washer under stove top. Storage under dinette seats is bad, need better designing.
This is a beautiful rig for sure. However the one thing that stands out for us is the super small "walkway" on both sides of the bed. Our 5th wheel is the same way. Why do all these manufacturers insist on using king and queen size beds when in reality a full is just as good. I understand they are nicer but so is a double door home refrigerator.
19:29 - the shower, like so many, is too small for ladies as they have no place to put your foot up to shave our legs. you have to try and balance and hold your leg up or put a small trash can in there, flip it over, and put your foot on that, but they slide all over when you do. so, they all should have a little lip on the back where we can put our foot up on it.
CMON RV MANUFACTURERS ... Build the RV around the bathroom. A PPPP is a must in all RV's !!! Sinks on right of toilet and room on each side of toilet. Humans have to lean left or right to wipe butt !!! :)
Andrea I agree with you; this dark traditional cabinetry doesn't match the sleek, modern exterior. I don't want my 2023 motorhome to resemble my grandparent's family room.
Winnebago brought in some nice changes that I like but unfortunately they lost me with the 19.5 tires. They seem to have an adverse attitude towards the bigger wheels like those offered by other manufacturers. Moat buyers know that they offer increased stability and a more comfortable ride and it would give you a better cargo carrying capacity, instead of just double that of a Mercedes, class B. Wah wah

Really like the updates and redesign. It looks great, one dislike for me is why, after all the exterior updates, and better paint, don't they put that fuel fill behind a small door to continue that clean smooth look, which would very cheap to do? The current set up is hideously cheap looking..
