Great guitar playing Bill. Being from Sonoma- there was always a dark mystique surrounding Lake County. Now that I’m older I find LC very alluring. Id like to see the wineries there.
Excellent views of our beautiful county, above Napa, & next to Mendocino Co.s. The music is pretty great, too. We really do have it all, if you want peace and quiet. And we're getting better all the time .... but keep it on the down low. We don't want everybody to know!
Great production! I work with some 'corporate videos' boring stuff mostly, but I appreciate the work involved!! And now I want to move to Lake County! Hahaha. I've been through Clearlake, and it's not great, but Lakeport, and other spots on 'Clear Lake' Look really great!
Little known but interesting is that this ancient caldera is the largest potential lake entirely in the State of California. A future prospect of dam construction on the eastern overflow river site will make this one smelly lake in to the largest water supply for the state of California. Diversion of northern rivers, now flowing into the Pacific Ocean would rapidly fill Clear Lake into future Salmon and Steel Head fish Haven. Although displacing one of the smallest populations in the state there would be greater shore line for future population resort sites, deeper, clear water. More down stream water in the Sacramento Valley and fresh water for Southern California. As the population of the state grows a greater need for water is on demand the Clear Lake although lost to memory would benefit future populations.
Really didn't show the town of C!earlake , can't blame you though..except The Spot..that water canal in the Cleatlake Oaks shows its blue. But we know different lol
Jay, Clearlake won recognition as a 'Lake County Star' in 2019 for all the hard work & improvements that have been made recently. Citizens Caring for Clearlake, a non-profit volunteer organization (www.CC4CL.org) has been instrumental in spearheading a very successful clean up campaign supported by the city, & is now spreading the word around the lake. Join us! You can make a difference.
Killa, see the reply to Jay. Join CC4C, and make a difference in the 'rea'l neighborhoods. I can't sing, or dance, but I can clean up litter. Anyone can make a positive impact in their community, but will you do it? Talk, or act?
@lrenturn There's plenty of good paying jobs in Lake County. It's the people who don't want to work. It's beautiful & our property value has doubled in 22 years. There's plenty of reasonable property in the county. The taxes are low. It's not a "welfare" county. Back in the 70s it wasn't either. It was a tourist mecca & had seasonal work. I love it here. Nice people. Blue skies & except for the City of Clearlake, which was founded in 1980, it's actually gotten more affluent.
This video does a good job presenting Lake County and what it offer. However, I think the video would be better with an epic score. I listened to the strumming of the guitar for about 2 minutes before muting it and started listening to the Audiomachine album: Ascendance, that made the video come alive and much more interesting. It's nice seeing people wave to the drone. Check out the rest of Audiomachine on their youtube channel.
This is great. So how did you manage to get the county/city to cooperate with this? Did you go through the city at all or go directly thorugh the Chamber of Commerce? I've been trying to get my small city to let me do the same thing but have not had any luck yet. Technical questions... What drone are you using? The video is so nice and smooth. Is it a Phantom or Inspire? And what software do you use for editing?

this was filmed only 12 days before the horrible "Valley" wildfire's in 2015....
