WORK IN PROGRESS! :-)! I'm producing right now on this track. It's possible that some parts will be replaced with new ones.
Part One of the 9 h Project by Axel Malton a.k.a. Alexander Talmon.
This project is a coherent musical work that has a total length of 9 hours. The sound recording is divided into 8 individual parts. Of these, 7 parts are between 69 and 70 minutes long. The eighth part is about 30 minutes long, so that at the end it will be 540 minutes.
The 9 h Project was mainly composed and arranged between May and December 2017. Afterwards all instruments were recorded by Alexander Talmon himself in his studio until November 2019 and the tracks were produced.
Currently, texts are being written in English and it is being checked whether folkloristic instruments are being added in places.
The music is initially strongly influenced by the classical progressive rock of the 1970s. However, the 9 h Project consciously pursues the idea of creating interactions with electronic music, which in places (also consciously) establishes musical relationships to the world music of the late 20th century. Of course the whole thing gets a certain "spice", because the technical setup (synthesizer, DAW, drums and guitars) corresponds to the current state of 2019.
The parts uploaded to UA-cam serve first of all to give listeners and interested people an idea of the musical spectrum. The video recordings and pictures used are all taken from the footage material of Alexander Talmon that has been collected over 20 years. Details of the software and hardware used will be published piece by piece from 2023 on the website 9hproject.com.
