Hi guys I just got the Axial 24 XC-1 and it rolls over "for like nothing at all" (Archer reference) I thought it was me but I also have the Goolski HBX 209 and I cant get that little bugger to turn over, but none the less I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was going to get one from my local hobby shop thinking that maybe this truck wouldn't roll but thanks to you I know better, thanks guys.
Tip of the day you can lay down a couple rows of solder inside of the huge bumper for huge Improvement and simply just Mount the bumper to the top of the bracket instead of flipping the bracket so you do not lift the body at all
A huge problem with these axials is exactly what happens in the real world. The absolute best crawlers out on REAL trails are machines that are very low center of gravity and they have HUGE flex. So think like a buggy. As soon as you raise these up with no real weight to keep them planted down they start rolling. Another thing that I did with my kyosho that they seem to have similar issues with is on all four corners of the hard body I have little velcro tungsten weights I add on to keep the machine planted when you're crawling + other brass and aluminum mods I added. Cool video, might look into getting an axial now
I agree, out of the box it rolls quite easy. With that said I also own the axial Rubicon and the axial C10 pickup. I prefer driving the Bronco for the challenge of keeping it up right. So I think for now I'm going to leave it be. And when I get frustrated I'll just break out one of the other trucks. Good video, good tips, thanks for sharing..
I’m surprised you didn’t put the most weight in the wheels. As a newb with 0 experience I see the most common mod being more weight in the wheels/tires
I heard removing the sticker on the motor case helps them run a bit cooler. I removed the sticker and zip tied a heatsink against my c-10 motor and it hasn’t burned up with the added brass(about 30g). I’m doing the same with the bronco I just picked up and with the hard body the bronco will be much heavier than the c-10.
the stock shocks are doing very good. i want to put mine back on now! i like the setup of that blue one. so the over drive is just gear change in the front?
Hey, what city you out of? You mentioned reaction RC so that let me know you’re a fellow Michigander, and you mentioned crawler space in another video. I’m from Muskegon on the lakeshore. I’m pretty new to the hobby and the 24 scales. Anyhow i really dig the channel, nice work brother! I have been mostly ordering parts online but definitely need to go check out reaction RC and that course some time soon.
Man, I wish mine performed better. No matter what I keep throwing on to it, still can't get it to be half way decent. Really makes me like my 1/10th way more. I wanted to love these 24s too, but just can't get it right...
Looks like you have a Venom 430mah in the stock truck. Is that what you run? If they allow a different size battery, curious why you wouldn't go smaller for reduced weight.
I run all kinds of batteries. The Venom packs I bought back when the SCX24 was still new and the Venom batteries were cheaper than stock. I have the Venom, tons of stock batteries, and a couple EcoPower. All are stock size. I prefer the run time of these. This wasn't for stock class as this is the upgraded truck. I ran through 3 batteries that day and Venom happened to be what I grabbed last. I'm just trying to get as many hours of run time as I can on this motor so I can decide if I proceed with them or not.
Have you thought about lowering the suspension to have some drop? Back in 1986 I was new to rc and my rc10 with 6 gear transmission was jacked up to the max. A guy came over and spoke to me about drop. Your suspension needs to be able to drop into holes and crevices with out moving the body. It seems to me if the springs were shorter then the shocks could allow the corner to drop into holes without tiping the chassis and all that beautiful hard body detail and weight !
Dean, I do that to most of my SCX24s. This one is still in the beginning stages. One problem is tire rub. The other trucks i've done that to have been lexan and I didn't mind trimming the body to allow for the truck to ride lower. This hard body isn't as forgiving. I'm still on stock stocks, which are limiting as well. Ideally, I'd get longer shocks, but run short springs on them to keep the current ride height, but all the shocks to extend more to drop into holes and crevices. This video is mainly about adding counterweight. I'm still waiting on my extend shocks for this one
Not for nothing but my XC1 is light as a feather much lighter than my Goolski HBX yet it still rolls over easily I find that if I don't articulate the rear tires its a bit better. Anyway I'm not putting anymore money into it I can just by a better rig the AX 24 is fun one just has to incorporate righting the 24 when it rolls over sounds like another job for my girlfriend.
Motor burned out, swapped for a barrage motor now it barely even crawls.. any tips on why? When I turn it upsidedown it runs face because there is no weight on it
Did you adjust your wheels? The nuts cannot be tightened all the way snug. It binds the axles. I loosen mine until I get the slight wiggle in the wheel
Hi William, I am currently out of extra stickers at the moment. I found a couple, but they are reserved for packages I have to send out. I have more stickers ordered. I wasn't prepared for the crazy amount of Might Handy Tool orders that came in overnight. You'll have to. goto CCxRC.com and send me your contact info so I can send them out when they come in (hopefully next week).
Not a fan of a hard body. Unless shes a smoming hot lady :-) Dont know the price to replace one but lexan bodys at my lhs are only $22ish. A coat of flo orange then white and let her dry over night. Pull window mask and trim/mount on mags.
It makes sense for them not to. Many people enjoy it like this. If you want to tackle harder lines or comp with it...then you upgrade it. Some people wouldn't never buy in because of the cost increase of it coming box stock as upgraded...not to mention...everyone upgrades differently...so you'd be paying for upgrade parts you don't want.
I only had 6 made and they are all out in the hands of people I know who have run multiple different SCX24 motors and can let me know based on their experience if this setup is worth doing or not.
Run footage starts at 14:51 - See how much better it performs!

If you have spare JLU front bumper mounts you end up lowering the body to close that bumper gap .

Sick video dude. I just got mine in the other day and a bunch of injora upgrades for my first scx24 build.
Yep they roll easy out of the box, so missed mine out in full Treal, now it is AWESOME. Great vid brother!!!🤘🤘🤘
That would fix it :)
I use sticky weights used for tire balancing. Stick them to the inside of rims. On rim under foam.
Always appreciate tips an tricks to improve performance! Right On!👊
Great tips Tony! Love the scale looks of the Bronco but good to know there are ways to make it a better performer.
Just got mine and loving it! I'm not sure if there's any mini crawler comps around me, probably, but idk how to find them.
Im gonna make a few mods to lower the CG BUT i do enjoy the challenge of it as stock too. The easy roll over certainly makes its harder to climb
Very useful informations. Mine SCX24 should arrive the next days, so your video is very value for me. Thanks for explaining and showing the run👍
What shocks are the best upgrade in your opinion. Love watching your upgrade and improvement videos.
I've added nose weights under the front cover, and I'll be adding wheel weights as well.
I’m surprised you didn’t put the most weight in the wheels. As a newb with 0 experience I see the most common mod being more weight in the wheels/tires
Just had my second stock motor burn up on my SCX24. So I’ll be happy to purchase one of yours and see if they hold up/perform any better!
Interesting. How long do they last you? I haven’t had too bad a luck with stock lasting.
My LHS sold me a Furitek Chameleon motor. So far so good.
@@CCxRC They’ve each lasted around 6-7 months.

@@TKO593 Alright, thanks. I’ll have to try that next time!

I'd love to see the same course done with the stock Jeep Gladiator vs modded.
Cant wait to try that motor bud its gonna be sweet in final form.
Just ordered mines can't wait
High weigh 6:00 t is called sprung weight. The bad weight. Low weight is unsprung weight where added weight helps keep you planted.
Just info
Bronco is great looking truck. Thumb up!
Nice tips Tony, performs much better.

What's the difference between the Baby Goliath motor and the Torque Beast motor from MofoRc? Thank you
Did you just unplug the bumper lights or did you find a way to use another channel to turn them off? Thanks!
Nice advices! You should try the Injora wheel hub extension. Much less body roll after this mod!
Those do work great. We don’t do extensions because in our comps it is hard to get through gates with them
Would oil filled shocks improve performance?
I’m thinking about rigging a magnet to the back tire
Thoughts on oil shocks as an upgrade?
Haven't spent enough time with them on these small guys to know.
How do you like the hyrax tires? I might order some
Man I need the grey. That is sweet
❤ the Beadlocks any link on um?
How did you put overdrive gears in the front?.
AAAs in the Kyosho mini-z 4x4 making more sense now after watching this
Really dig your vids braddah 🤙 just bought a motor from your site. Aloha 🤙
Looking good bro.👊
Where do we get a baby Goliath motor??
How does one become a tester of your things you are making?
Is it just my bronco or is the motor on the bronco a lot louder than previous trucks?

I just got a bronco and i already got some weight add on stuff ordered for it 😂
What tires where you running on the blue one?
I just ordered scx24 bronco and gladiator
You nailed a gate it saves you from rolling over

Tight wheel nuts will burn up motors
Hello from southeast alaska do you have any stickers for my rock crawlers?

What tires are those on the blue bronco
They are the Injora Super Swampers. The boys picked them up from Reaction RC. You can see them here amzn.to/37tydF3
I want one of those baby goliath motors maybe two I’ve checked your site they was out of stock I will keep an eye out for them
Has anyone used the Furitek Chameleon motor in their scx24? That’s what my LHS sold me for a direct replacement.
IMO the Furitek setup on any scx24 makes it a game changer!
If you think those roll easy you ought to see the atv i made for my gi joes with the deadbolt.
It looks great ! But ! To enjoy it you have to spend a couple hundred bucks .
Axial needs to upgrade it first .

Lol wheel weights at the nose on Velcro add or subtract and slam it to much bounce in all them
Seems like the front is much higher than the rear
😎😎👍👍
Sure but can it sit up and beg. Come on little doggy roll over 😆
👍🏽 👍🏽 🇫🇷
I see that bow mam what'd up u shoot
We just had fun with targets in VA.
What wheels and tires are those?
Every one except the deadbolt is a flop donkey
😂

Send me one to test.

Send me some stickers. I've got redcat everest 10 MN 99s fms Chevy k-10 I can put them on.
ThIs doesn’t pertain to just the bronco, they ALL roll too easy !!!
