it's incredible to see how much they've evolved over the years. To see them with the updated bandit 2 years ago at Electric Expo, to all the crazy builds they had at Electric Wednesday last year, to the release of the Brute and Javelin this year. I'm happy to see a local East Coast manufacturer see this kind of success. I hope these will make their way down to NYC and I hope the authorities will be cool with it as an "ebike/emoto mix". Worst case, it can always be registered! Great video as always!
Bro I couldn’t agree with you more!! 💯 Spark has always been a very pro consumer upgrade company. I love that about them!! Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel brother!! 🤘🏼💯⚡️
I love the look of this bike. I was looking at the Bandit, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. This bike, from what I've seen, does. They should offer Enduro tires and street.
Thanks for watching!! I do think that they are going to offer different tire options in the near future. I too would probably put street tires on this bike. 🤘🏼
From what I’ve seen in Spark videos, I fully expect this machine to set the bar. I guess my only question would be aesthetics. Would this be the final, finished look… minus the seat and tire upgrades? Even just color choices?
I believe that they will be offering more color options in the future for sure. And yes the seats are going to be from Tapia, otherwise yes I believe this will be the production frame for the Brute. Thanks for watching Ralph!! 🙏🏼🤘🏼💯
Love to see a company, especially a small one, listen to feedback and implement it into their future products! Growth! Great ride and breakdown 👌🏽⚡❤️🔥
Thank you Peter!! 🕷️ Yeah bro this bike is over engineered in such an important and impressive way! They know that people like to mod things these days and for example the 1” thick drop outs just add another layer of safety. Hoping that we get one out here on the West Coast and you can go on a long ride with it.
I think belt really well it’s about almost the weight of a lightweight motorcycle. It’s gonna need brakes like that in order to stop. It looks heavy duty really nice.
I just bought my second Bandit back in November of last year but had I known about the Brute coming out this year I would've waited and buy it instead. Don't get me wrong I'm satisfied with my Bandit's and I'm having a blast riding them but the Brute is just on another level of awesomeness. Now I guess I have to convince my wife why I need another bike and the Brute is it. Great job on the review Chris and welcome to the East Coast.
I too had to convince my wife to even let me get any e-bikes. Coming from gas powered motorcycles , once we had kids I had to stop… but now … 😃 I think I’m like back and even better 🤣 Thank you so much for the support!!! 🍻🤘🏼⚡️
Ya they don’t bother us here in rural Florida either. I wonder if they will offer just a frame & rear suspension so I could build a dual 8kw 72v version…
Ohhh shit!!! Dual 8k 🤯 That would be insanity!! Hahah I wanna see that build for sure. Also I’m not positive but I think there was talk of them offering the brute, frame only. You should DM Matt at Spark and see if they can do that for you. Thanks for the support homie!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Very nice bike . Great review. I live in Florida they don't care what you're riding or driving. Dirt bike, Four wheelers, Golf karts anything goes . As long a you're not putting anyone in danger with bad driving the cops don't care.
Live in Florida myself . Used to ride around a dualtron thunder 2 , and a powerful e-bike . The cops watched me as i rode by them but never more . Someone i know asked about a go-cart and they said ok . They mentioned to just ride respectful and do not speed or it is over . I ride with total respect , no speeding , no wheelies on the road , no reckless riding and they leave me alone .
I believe that Matt will be going through the comments section tonight to be able to give exact answers on that. The one I rode had a pre production seat. The new production seats will be from Tapia and much more comfortable! Thanks for watching!! 🤘🏼🍻💯⚡️
I’m sure you could easily add a key ignition. I have same controller on my 60v Super build and I have a key for that. Also as far as built in security I am not aware of any but you could put tracker on it easily but there may be a way that you could like put a kill switch or lock out the motor That may be best to have Matt from Spark answer I do appreciate you for watching!!! 🍻
Yo, I’m not sure the name of that spots but hit up Spark ⚡️ on IG. They know all the awesome trails out there. That ride was such a blast!!! Thanks so much for watching bro!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
The 30ah has been performing fantastic. With our current tuning, we’ve regularly been getting 3.5-4 hours of continuous riding in the city. Also for cost, keep in mind it has dual motorcycle brakes, a motorcycle front fork, high output charger, and a number of features seen on bikes in the $6k and up price point.
Curious what your top speed was. Don’t think I saw Brute go above 40mph when you were riding alongside TAO as he was pedaling the crap out of his Bandit 😆 Thank you for the video content! ❤️
Hahaha yeah Tao got a workout for sure!! 😆 I meant to do a top speed test for that video but I did see Matt get up to about 52mph when we rode the next day. I think that the big nobby tires lower the full potential of the top speed on the street but some street tires on the Brute should get it up to 60mph +
Yeah, I would think the dirt bike tire knobs would definitely create some wind resistance and lower the top speed. One more question as it’s been on my mind all night, when viewing the display within the video, it appears to be in mode “2.” Was this mode 2 out of 5 (for example) in terms of power being administered to the motor?
So when I rode the bike they were still working on the controller/ motor programing. I believe Matt will be going through these comments tomorrow to address anything that Im not sure of. I will screenshot this one and make sure you get a answer! 🍻
Hey Austin, I’m 5’10” and you can kinda judge from the pic how I fit on it. I would say that if I was above 6’ maybe get a bit of a taller seat for it? I also was on the preproduction seat and that thing was like a piece of cardboard 😆 But definitely reach out to Spark before you buy and maybe they can get you a slightly larger seat considering that the Brute seat is made in NC for that bike. I appreciate you watching! 🍻🍻
This is a reply from Spark ⚡️…. “currently no foot pegs, but could use easy aftermarket stuff. It's one feature that people ask about, but never use.” Honestly I also personally always recommend 3rd party for pegs. Just so that you can get exactly that you want. 💯🤘🏼 Thanks so much for the support and comment!! 🍻
Pedal assist is unfortunately very dangerous on this kind of set up. The torque is enough for us to pull our shop’s Transit van. If we activated and the assist triggered at an unexpected time, the bike immediately wheelies. The pedals are truly there for legality and emergency.
I've always liked spark cycles bikes, and the Brute is definitely a bike. You can customise and add your own flavour to and saying that Chris you definitely bring your own style to your videos I'm glad your back dude I was getting tired of seeing sur-Rons Riding reckless down the streets and making them go stupid mph I mean witch idiot though they could Break the law Without punishment forever all because they don't want to pay Insurance For the privilege any how thats my rant 😂😅
Trying our best over here ❤️ They will keep on getting better as we grow. We’re a 7 person team that’s completely self funded and hand assembling in Connecticut, not China. If we can continue to do well, we’ll be able to expand our design team.
@ 8min you mention California you do realize this is the Home of the surron style ride outs🤣 cops do zero in California probably the most ebike, E-transportation friendly state we have.. I've clocked over 5k on a e ride pro ss zero pullovers throughout Ca. Maybe some lazy town in the sticks or a upscale liberal gated neighborhood🤣 Unless you're being a total nuisance most people don't even care because we got e-everything rolling by🤷♂️
I respect that you have had zero issues. I live in southern Orange County, CA and it’s unfortunate that the cops in the surrounding beach city’s have a hard on for impounding anything that even looks like a Sur Ron. 😑 My Talaria is my favorite to rip around with but I rarely ride in the streets. That said if I go into Los Angeles or down to San Diego then it’s cool to ride. But yeah the crackdown is real and it’s stupid. They should just let us ride as long as we’re doing it respectfully. Spark bikes are underrated.
Absolutely 💯!!!
The Brute looks awesome!
I agree! I love the look and it’s built like a tank!
🍻
I love the look of this bike. I was looking at the Bandit, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. This bike, from what I've seen, does. They should offer Enduro tires and street.
Thanks for watching!!
I do think that they are going to offer different tire options in the near future. I too would probably put street tires on this bike.
🤘🏼
We will be! The finalized tire is an all terrain. Has a street oriented center line and knobs on the side. Will be the best of both worlds.
From what I’ve seen in Spark videos, I fully expect this machine to set the bar. I guess my only question would be aesthetics. Would this be the final, finished look… minus the seat and tire upgrades? Even just color choices?

💯 I fully agree! Spark is crushing it!
🤘🏼⚡️
those rocks were gnarly but the brute handled it like a champ. awesome vid shawv 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Bro I would have died with some other bikes on the market!
Thanks for your constant support bro!
🤘🏼🍻💯⚡️
That thing is a beast. The battery for the range and weight is super impressive. Nice video bro! 🤟
Thank you Peter!! 🕷️

Great review. Love spark cycleworks.
Thank you so much!!! It was an absolute blast ripping that thing around Connecticut!!! 🤘🏼
I like the looks of that bike so much more than the Bandit
This bike looks incredible in person!
🍻🍻
I think belt really well it’s about almost the weight of a lightweight motorcycle. It’s gonna need brakes like that in order to stop. It looks heavy duty really nice.
Thanks Steven!!
Yes this bike is built like a damn tank 😆

Honestly Dennie, I had no idea that was coming out with the Javelin…
I was watching the Powerful Lithium live on IG and I was like 😮 NO WAY!!!
I too had to convince my wife to even let me get any e-bikes. Coming from gas powered motorcycles , once we had kids I had to stop… but now … 😃
I think I’m like back and even better 🤣

Great overview video! The brute is an offroad beast!!
Erock, thanks brother. 🍻
I appreciate the support and yeah this thing eats dirt and rocks like nothing. 😆
🤘🏼💯⚡️
Awesome video… Great show of enthusiasm while ride this BEAST they call BRUTE… Hats off to ya ma brotha… 🙌💯💪
Great company and super easy to work with!
I fully agree! Matt, Tao and the whole crew are awesome humans!
I appreciate you watching.

I have only been to Miami and it seemed so awesome for riding anything. Also tequila clubs haha.
Thanks for watching!!

Awesome! I live close to Branford - what trails are legal to ride around here?
Yo, I’m not sure the name of that spots but hit up Spark ⚡️ on IG. They know all the awesome trails out there. That ride was such a blast!!!
Thanks so much for watching bro!!
🤘🏼🤘🏼
Needs a rear fender I think. Hopefully you can install one.
Absolutely! They will be having a whole range of accessories for the Brute releasing soon. Thanks Malcom for the support
🤘🏼
Fun video. Interesting bike for sure!!!
Thank you so much! Yeah this bike is definitely a beef cake haha
Thanks for the support!!!
🍻🍻
3:00 dat hill climb
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
72v fardrive controller is awesome. But the battery size suck😂 For 4500 e-bike, I think ya better upgrade the battery to an 42+ ah.
The 30ah has been performing fantastic. With our current tuning, we’ve regularly been getting 3.5-4 hours of continuous riding in the city. Great video !
Thank you love! ❤️
When we get the Brute here in Cali you HAVE to try it out!!!
Western NY (Buffalo). Cops wave too. Never been hassled 😅
I love to hear it! In SoCal it like comes down to what bike your riding. I appreciate you watching and dropping a comment!!!
🤘🏼🍻

Let’s goooo🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 you gotta try this bike out Jimmy!!!
Is this bike only for short people? I’m 6’1” and the website lists the seat height at 31”, which is usually for short people
Hey Austin, I’m 5’10” and you can kinda judge from the pic how I fit on it. I would say that if I was above 6’ maybe get a bit of a taller seat for it? I also was on the preproduction seat and that thing was like a piece of cardboard 😆

Does the brute have pegs for a passenger?
Currently no pegs, but it is possible to do so.
This is a reply from Spark ⚡️…. “currently no foot pegs, but could use easy aftermarket stuff. It's one feature that people ask about, but never use.”
Honestly I also personally always recommend 3rd party for pegs. Just so that you can get exactly that you want.

it needs pedal assist. why cut that out? its too heavy to pedal with no power
Pedal assist is unfortunately very dangerous on this kind of set up. The torque is enough for us to pull our shop’s Transit van. If we activated and the assist triggered at an unexpected time, the bike immediately wheelies. The pedals are truly there for legality and emergency.
Very nice way to burly for the moped class maybe pit bike
