I for one think that Jamie is awesome....very sweet and beautiful woman. You did well to get her for a mate and she gets right in and helps out. Keep on keeping on. I love your show and that you both love the Lord. You both are not afraid to say I love you to each other and mean it....as you say peace out!!
+malibulon There are actually a lot of people who care about America's old cars and trucks. Most people just aren't in a position to go out and do what I do. It requires a lot of space, a location where you aren't "bothering" anybody. A very, very understanding significant other, and most-importantly, an acceptance of the fact that malls are for normal people and Goodwill is a logical place to buy new clothes since they are going to be worn out very quickly anyway. I provide a service to the public by allowing them to be part of the Classic Rescue experience without having to answer to the neighborhood committee. We appreciate all of our viewers...because amongst other things, they make US feel important. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I definitely feel that getting to know the interesting history behind any vintage car or truck adds a lot to the feeling for them. You Guys are a natural good choice for this one!
+Lee Gathers Definitely. Knowing the history of a vehicle changes the whole picture. We love it when we can get the details like that. Thanks Again Fer Watchin' Lee. -Rick
+Bob Tater Me too. I thought it was very cool of her to see to it that her Dad's truck went to a good home. Awesome Lady. Thanks Fer Watchin' Bob. -Rick
Yall have the most awesome collection of true Iron lol I have been a Chevy gmc man my whole life !!! My whole family was Chevy men you have an awesome collection would love to just come there and walk around and get the history of each one
I can't get enough of your videos, I'm currently trying to buy a '57 chevy panel, and ya'll give such great insight to these ol trucks. keep them coming, thanks, Brian Hansen
+B. H. Thank you Brian. We will do our best to keep the videos coming, but may have to cut back just a bit over the next few months. We have a lot of hard work ahead of us. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
My all time favorite Chevy pick-up is a 1957 short step side. Mine had a 327ci and a car 4 speed tranny. I'm still mad at me for trading it off. Your videos are fantastic viewer friendly, about trucks of our youth, we got to see & ride in them when they were new and shiny. Not many Gear heads can make that claim. I remember the first time I rode in my brothers " BRAND NEW " 1965 ford short fleet side, uni-body bright red with white trim & grill & bumpers. I remember the shiny black floor shift stick & how quiet and rattle free it was. Memories like that are PRICELESS .....
+Robert Perrigo Old trucks are all about fond memories of a simpler time. You nailed it my friend. I can still remember riding in the back of our Scoutmasters turquoise 55 Chevy shortbed stepside with the backpacks on our way to summercamp. He had upgraded to a 350 and a car 4-speed and I loved the sound of that dual exhaust and the shifting gears. Thanks again. -Rick
Another awesome save. You are blessed to be in a part of the country that still has this old iron around. I wish I could afford a train ticket cause I would come and help you and Jamey moved Lord Bless ,Scott S.
Yes, respectfully Jaime what I call a looker! She seems so nice and has a lot of common sence! That Wendall T truck is looker as well. I can see it all painted up and put some wooden stake sides on that bed. Love your videos, brings back memories when I was young. I am 63 and step dad when I was 12 had Chevy and GMC trucks. His Dad had a 48 Chevy pickup I believe with a narrow bed and 4 speed. Keep up the great videos!
Love this channel ,,Put this on as I am getting breakfast ready ,,, and 1st cup of coffee ,,,think I said I grew up on farm ,,,back in the 60's 70's like going back to my old foster fam ,,,,farm best placr to grow up ,,or start ,, learn hard work ,,and love to work ,,yer both awesome blessings on both and the dog ,,keep cool
Wow, what a great looking truck, he is a big boy indeed and with low miles. Very nice history of previous owner and I'll bet he will be happy his old truck got saved for the future.
+VintageTexas59 his Daughter was very adamant about making sure this truck wound up at the Classic Truck Ranch. I'm pretty certain she could have gotten more money for it and I'm also sure she knew that. -Rick
I finally figured out why I love watching your videos- I think the history of each truck is awesome. Not just the history you find with the truck, but the history you are making with each and every truck. That is just plain cool. Thanks for making these videos Rick, you and Jamie are alright in my book.
+pearsonba350 Well, You are alright in our book too. We really appreciate the positive input we get from viewers like yourself. It is motivating and encouraging. Thanks Fer watchin' -Rick
As exciting as it is now with all your trucks there Rick, when you move them to the new property they will take on a new life because the property is all yours, and you will be more relaxed...Have no fear the angels will help you move all of them safely...Stay blessed!!
+Nigel Wankel you are awesome. Thank you so much once again for your encouragement. I do believe that we are being blessed with this opportunity and I also believe that God has plans for Classic Truck Rescue and that He paves the way. thank you again. -Rick
While looking for some motivation and ideas for my own 1957 Chevy 3200 project, I came across your video series....awesome! My brothers and I are old truck fanatics down in Texas, but we all spent a lot of time in Central Oregon. I grew up in Sisters and my truck came from the valley...it was bought by my brother in 1977, traded to my Dad, and he eventually passed it to me before he passed away. Seeing the work you do and the fun you both have doing it...your passion is obvious! My Dad was also retired from GM and built many Chevy trucks as a die setter and overhead crane operator. Keep up the great work....I love seeing these historical beasts brought back to life.
+Michael Pullen Thank you for your positive, encouraging comment. It is appreciated. Best wishes on your '57 Chevy project. Sounds like we owe your father a debt of gratitude for helping put some neat stuff on the road. thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
That is an awesome truck Rick, you got the magic touch in getting them running! Great dedication, Ol' Wendell would be proud to see his rig working hard again! Keep um' running brother!
Got yourself a great collection of GM's Rick! I have a couple myself, a '64 GMC pickup factory 4X4 that is currently in restoration and a '61 GMC 5000. Really enjoy seeing these old trucks resurrected again, keep up the great work!
Rick and Jaime: I don't comment often but felt like something was way overdue. Love your videos and especially the wonderful things you are doing. These old work trucks are certainly worth saving. Hated to see the old 51 900 diesel get sold but surely the buyer is going to have a nice time with that truck. Keep up the good work.
+David Willmon We actually just received a message from "Granpa's" current owner. He sent us a picture of the old guy sitting next to a palm tree in southern California. It ain't over 'til its over my Friend. Thank you, -Rick
I got to tell you, I can't believe what you did in a relatively short time, moving all those trucks and preparing the new property. I guess with all that you have going on, it is not surprising that some things are taking longer than you planned. If I were responsible for doing all that I don't think I could have. You're one hard working dude.
It sounds like Wendell was an amazing man. I'm sure he'd have been absolutely made up to know that Wendell T. GMC is going to be preserved for your pleasure and the pleasure of many other people as he obviously loved and cared for the truck a great deal for it to be in such sound and solid condition after 33 years "resting." You just know that when they were working his trucks would have been some of the cleanest and smartest trucks around in that part of Oregon...
I really like this truck! It so sweet with the letter (from last owner) and everything, and on top it's such a nice front end on that truck! Rick is very nice, but Jamie is so cool! Especially when she just gets in and drives them old trucks! And a 302, makes it very cool! A Hot Rod and Dry Lake hero!
+Tbone Pickens Buy one now. Then I won't have to move it to the new property. I'm sure I will have some available whenever you get ready. In the meantime, Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Hello Jamie & Rick, I just love watching you two go get these Trucks. I truly feel that the 1957 thru 59 Chevy and GMC Trucks have such great looking body styles. I love old Trucks Ford & Chevy mostly. I live in Lake Elsinore, California and there is a GMC Flatbed same look as Wendell "T " GMC and it is setting in a dirt lot with a few other cars and Trucks with For Sale signs in them. The closest big city to Lake Elsinore is Riverside Ca not sure how far that is from you of if you would be interested in anymore of the big Trucks or not. I know the big trucks are not going to sell as well as pick up trucks would. I know your business success depends on finding buyers for most of the trucks you find and make deals on so you may not be able to take in to many big trucks at the same time, just wanted to let you know about this one. love you two and wish you all the best and much Success. Steve Lake Elsinore, Ca
+Steve Priest (68-FordMan) Sounds like an interesting truck. I have found that there are quite a few people interested in the bigger trucks. If you happen to be passing by that old guy again, take a moment to snap a few pictures of it and send them to rick@classictruckrescue.com . Sometimes if a truck is too far away to make retrieving it feasible, I can find someone closer to it that's interested. Thanks for the tip and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Classic Truck Rescue Hey Rick, no problem I will get over on the back side of our Lake in the next few days and take some shots of that bad boy and send them to you. Take care bud.
I swear when that driver hopped out of the truck I thought it was itchyoldfart56. 🤣🤣🤣. I remember when I was a kid the school bus I took had the bullfrog nose. They were so tough looking.
Man, that is SUPER COOL !!!! Love the front end on that truck, and it runs and drives? Thank you Wendell and Debbie for keeping it for the CRT Collection! It has certainly found a good home, and will be used for what was intended - work! BTW, I keep checking your inventory for which one I want. Tough choice with so many cool trucks around. :)
+azautoxr Well, you keep on checking it out, because as you can see, it changes from day to day. When the one with your name on it rolls into the Classic Truck Ranch, give me a shout. In the meantime, Thanks fer watchin' -Rick
+1973mk1capri Great suggestion. We will be using Wendell-T GMC to haul things, but I need to go through it bumper to bumper and head to toe first. 33-years in the bush requires some serious aftercare. Gott'a bring them back to life slowly. Thanks Fer Watchin' Paul. -Rick
+Garnett M. I've always enjoyed watching Jeff's Videos. He actually stopped by about a month ago. Nice guy and knows his stuff. Yes, he is definitely a Buddy and I have a lot of respect for him. -Rick
It's always a beautiful thing when a women shares the same passion as her man...and even better when shes a HOT! Thanks fer sharing your videos...they are really entertaining...I look forward to the big move and other updates...Peace OUT!!
+Isaac Smith I agree with you 100% on that one my friend. Having a woman like Jamie in my life has helped me to grow in leaps and bounds. She is very helpful and encouraging. Thanks Again Fer Watchin' -Rick
I really appresiate your work to save and preserve these old workhorses. I hope you have time to update us eager followers about your move to the new "Classic Truck Rescue Ranch" (just a few short videos so we can follow the action) Im sure i speak for all followers when i wish you luck with the move. Keep up the good work. Sinserely David from Sweden.
+David Åhman this is the kind of input that is both helpful, and encouraging. Thank you. I will take the advice you and other viewers have offered and include videos of the new property as we make progress on the new Classic Truck Ranch. I think it will be interesting and rewarding to watch what some Faith, hard work, determination and a beautiful piece of land can be turned in to.
Fare winds and following seas Wendell! You and your truck is very much respected. We sure love it when they fire up and purr! Did that have tilt bed? If so , some heavy duty ramps and center fold down braces on the ramps with a heavy duty winch you could load a truck on back similar to when you hauled banana rammer.
+Glenn Bell It does have a tilt bed and it already has provisions on the back of the bed for the ramps. Look for Wendell T to be hauling some Classic Trucks in the future my friend and Thanks again Fer Watchin' -Rick
I would love to have one of these old trucks for a daily driver.. Maybe do a body-off resto and put in a diesel or at least an automatic. Maybe upgrade the rear end.. Heat and A/C.. Stuff like that. Way cool.
Well I too think Jamie is real cool too, And Jamie I dig how feminine and kick ass bad ass you are . A perfect match with Ole Rick and this classic Truck Ranch . Keep yourself tough yet soft as all ways , "Peace Out".
thats a great powerhouse motor i had an old 300cu industrial motor with a 1 barrel carb, it was in a 1970 19ft winnebago, and it would pull the pass here in washington pulling a 16ft bayliner and loaded to the hilt up and over the pass at 50MPH with the vacuum gauge buried on zero, LOL.
CTR, wonderful! Just subbed. I have my own collection( 36 Chev low cab, cougar, Fairlane, Ranchero) Man, gotta love it. My dad has a 37 ford AA I want to buy. Love your haulers Louisville. Don't know why you're moving all those old gals, but keep them safe!
+Ed Spencer Thank you for subscribing. If you watch the earlier CTR videos, you'll see I really didn't have any choice about moving everything. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
Hi Jamie & Rick, You guys are very clever in the names you give your trucks, I have been naming my cars/trucks for many years, makes them more a part of the family, I think. I have a question, do you have some kind of house situation for The three of you to live in while you are building the truck ranch? I sure like Wendell, Big ol guy, glad you saved him! Hope your Big move goes well, As always, enjoyed the video, great to see you guys.
+joel mccoin Naming them also makes it easier to distinguish one truck from another. I do have a pretty nice 5th wheel that I completely restored a couple years ago (Alfa 5th Wheel video). So no, I won't make Jamie and Annabbella sleep in a tent this winter. We aren't kidding ourselves about the fact that some hard work and sacrifice are coming in our immediate future though. Thanks again Fer Watchin' Joel. -Rick
rick, I want to work for u, I'm in auto tech school right now but I've got six months left of class and I love working on classic machines that were built tough to last
+Brandon Hall You wouldn't want to work for me right now Brandon. Trust me, the next few months is going to be nothing but Mud, Sweat and Tears. I am currently moving all of my trucks, parts, tools and household goods to a new 25-acre location where there is nothing but weeds, trees, and wildlife. That said, when you graduate in 6-months, feel free to drop me a line, because I will probably be in a position to hire someone at that point and I'm thinking that it is time to start training someone else to be a member of the Classic Truck Rescue team. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Rick, I would like to know what you do with the wheels on those trucks? My son just bought a 1958 Viking 60 with a great running 261 I6 and the truck is in really good condition. We would like to find a safer type of wheel to use do you know of any good replacement ? Can the originals be made safe? maybe welding the two parts together? Any suggestions will be appreciated. We really like your collection and will be watching for the new ones, keep up the good work you two.
that is a awsome truck rick i was just wondering do you like they way the old trucks look with a bit of age about them or do you plan on respraying and knocking some dents out etc . big pete from Australia
+peter donaldson I will be leaving the patina on Wendell. I do plan on hammering out some dents, but then will just lightly sand and respray it. That patina is just to legit to tamper with. Thanks, -Rick
+wgoldenny Chuck is a real life-saver. Really neat guy. I believe his truck is late-80's, or early 90's. You are correct. That is a real nice setup he has. thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
+Marty Mcgee The Superbee is awaiting the completion of the new building at the Classic Truck Ranch. We are going to see Ron today when we pick up his Dad's 1955 International R-160. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I absolutely love that truck I would like to find one myself. also I know of 2 58 or 59 Chevrolet Vikings (maybe) flat beds in my era (Georgia) one of them is right down the street the other is outside of monticello both of them have been sitting there for years
how does the dealer or transporter insurance and plates being you have a large inventory of trucks would work for you? Rather than flat tow or bang bar tow being that they run...
+wgoldenny We will figure all of that out when we get the new building up on the new property. I am thinking that Classic Truck Rescue needs to go the non-profit organization, preservation/museum route. Thank you, -Rick
+Ben Stah (bs495) The person with the most toys may find himself losing out to the person who spreads the most joy. That said, having a full toybox sure makes it funner. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
+gbowne1 Correct, the true value of these trucks is that they helped build this country. We believe they are a huge part of American history. That is why it is such a shame when they are scrapped. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Not a mechanic or even close but after you get done your move don't think it would take much to build ramps and install a winch. Love all the trucks but am sort of partial to the heaver duty type. Oh yea tell Jamie she is cool and would really look good behind the wheel of Wendell T cruising down the highway.
+Jim Krueger That is exactly what I am planning on doing with it. Too bad I didn't notice the perches on the rear for the ramps earlier. They were probably sitting out at the yard where the truck was sitting and I believe everything else got scrapped. We like the big uns too. Thank you, -Rick
Hi mate. Thanks for the video. That is an other very nice truck that you have got there. I was wondering, are all the trucks petrol powered or are some diesel? I love diesels, and think that trucks in general should be diesel powered. What are you going to do with all of those bigger trucks? they are going to take up a lot of space on the new site. Are you also going to have a line up of trucks at the new location? I hope you do well mate, I have the feeling that both you and Jamie deserve that. I know that you like to thank a higher power, but know that most of what you have is earned by hard work, it was not given.
+Marcel Timmers right now, the only diesel powered trucks we have are Jamie's black Ford (Gopher), and my 'Boomer" project truck that Intermountain Innovations is currently doing all of the fabrication work on. What I'm going to do with all of the bigger trucks is use them for the purpose they were built, which is work. We use the 'Bullfrog" dump truck, "Tinker", 'Old Yeller" and 'Old Macdonald" all the time. I'm sure we will use "Wendell-T" to move trucks and tractors also. We will also have a line-up of trucks at the new location, but it will not be visible from the street. World's getting a bit too odd to leave all that candy dangling out there. We will be making the new Classic Truck Ranch a much more interactive and enjoyable experience for our customers, family and friends, but it will be a much less enjoyable for people who steal puppies and parts. (some of my long-time viewers will understand that). As for my Higher power, I call Him God. I don't beat people over the head with Him, but He is with me daily and I can appreciate what you said, it really IS a lot of hard work, but Philippians 4:13 says that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Thank you for your positive input and your good questions. Mostly, Thanks Fer Watchin', we really do appreciate our viewers. -Rick
Hi mate. Good on you. I hope all your plans will come through. At least in the US you can still follow your dreams without too much council/local government input.
Gee thanks Kevin. Unfortunately, I'm the one with all the knowledge and experience when it comes to classic trucks. so if I just film Jamie standing next to them and smiling while I explain what she's standing next to, we'd be in danger of turning into a spin-off of wheel of fortune.....but I'll try to get Jamie in the picture as much as possible because I do agree that she's easier on the eyes than I am. If you need more spice in your life, I recommend "Pico-Pica"...I put that stuff on EVERYTHING! Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
Hello, keep up the great videos! I wish I had the money for a Chevy Cameo, you videos bring me a lot of joy! Have you ever come across a 1955-1958 Cameo pick-up? Thanks, Don
Greetings from the Northwestern United States. I don't have a list of the 100 best boleros and the Google search you should use to find such a list will require a more specific definition. There are multiple meanings for the word "Bolero".
Hi Wendell I have been looking at most of your video's of these lovely old Chevrolet & GMC wreckers & i would love to be in your position to buy & restore these trucks. Could you reply to me if any of thse could be bought, as i would love to buy some of them from you & have them shippe to me in the UK where i would take great pleasure in restoring these back to their previous condition. I have always loved American trucks but most of all the old classic trucks. I look forward to your reply. Many thanks ,BRIAN MAYHEAD.
Most of the trucks I have are for sale Brian. Most of my customers tell me exactly what kind of truck they want and I find it for them. If you would like to get information on my trucks, or any trucks you'd like me to find, you can go to the Classic Truck Rescue Facebook page and send me a private message and I will respond with my phone number. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
I know time is short right now but after you have settled into your new place I think it would be cool if you did a picture video of your collection. If you did four shots of each truck covering all sides and post the truck's name, the year and model, when and where ya got it, and maybe the status. Ya know it's getting so your viewers need a program. Just an idea. Oh and Queen said another one bites the dust but in this case another one saved from rust.
+MostlymoparIH another one saved from rust...I like that. I also like your inventory idea and will use that on the classictruckrescue.com website as soon as we get the move done. Thanks Again Fer Watchin' my friend. -Rick
+Tristan Baker if you are talking about the big 57 Chevy 6500 truck, that video will have to wait. It is a truck that I have hung onto just because I can't bring myself to disassemble because it actually ran and drove when I got it, but I discovered that it has Bondo on it that is several inches thick. It has Bondo on its Bondo. It IS Bondo. I think I just named that truck "Bondo". No video on that one until I can come up with a happy ending for it. Thanks Fer Watchin' and thanks Fer helpin' me name a truck. -Rick
It's a shame that big three don't care to make trucks the way they use to back when these where made they wanted these trucks to last for years , little did them know that what they made would last for ever they all should look back and take a lesson .
+Rusty rods, Jamie and I were just talking about that yesterday. It was a different world and a different America back when these trucks were being built. People took a lot of pride in what they built. You are very correct. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I think you need to invest in some kind of a car car cover / truck cover for tinker I think he deserves to be covered if you can't keep him in the garage he's too nice to be getting sunbaked!!
+spackmaster Chavez I already have temporary shelter arranged for Tinker until I get the new building up. You are absolutely correct sir. Thank you, -Rick
I mean where else are you going to find a truck with 36,000 miles. I mean my 2010 Lincoln has has 48000 miles on it so there you go you ain't going to find something with that low of mileage that clean very often especially in such a unique vehicle you know you might find a Camaro or Corvette or something like that but not an old truck
+spackmaster Chavez I totally agree with you. Trust me, I do not take Tinker for granted. I am aware of what a rare and beautiful truck that is. So how about if I get out there and build him a new barn? I am not a big fan of car covers in Oregon weather and I will get Tinker under cover. I did not choose to be cheated out of my lease on our current location, but I am grateful that it happened, because we never would have found 25 acres of paradise that God was saving for us if it hadn't happened. Tinker is like Jamie, Annabella, myself and all the other trucks. We have to sacrifice a little to make the dream happen, but we will all be better off in the end. When the dust settles, we will all be happier, safer and more secure on land that we own and can't be ordered around on. Thank you for your concern for Tinker. I get it. He needs to be inside. And he will be. thank you, -Rick
Rick I don't want you to think I'm mad at you or anything because I'm not I understand how it is to rent and get booted out been there done that it sucks! But all you could do is move on you guys got your property I was just saying as a temporary fix some kind of a car cover I know I live in Medford so I get the rain all the time in Oregon. I know they have car covers that are waterproof that might be just something temporary some sort of TARP I know tarps when the wind blows will mess up the paint on them car that's why I don't like tarps they start flapping and they make marks on the paint. But I understand please don't get me wrong I am not mad at you at all just that's a special truck as you know I just don't want to see the paint! It's such a beautiful truck and I bet its very rare.
+Roger Shellman Okay, you just forced my hand. I've had a lot of people ask about that truck, so I will do a quick video of it this weekend. Its a 1953 GMC Military rig and Jamie actually went out and rescued it all by herself...seriously. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
+vetterfellow Wendell T GMC has found a home in the collection of 1955-1959 Chevy and GMC work trucks I am putting together so that America can see what built this country. Thank you, -Rick
+Brandon Clarke Nope, just you. Brandon, are you a video editor or something? Because I know my videographer skills are less than stellar. Good point as usual though. I do make the 'Outro" louder intentionally, but did not intend for the "Intro" to be louder. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Classic Truck Rescue not really a video editer i just screwed around with different programs from time to time and i pick up things from my friends that edit videos
+Brandon Clarke Well, then you know that we will always be improving. I do realize that I could spend more time on my videos and that there are a lot of things I could do to improve them. Just try to bear with me for now and understand that I am also the guy on the other side of the camera, loading trucks, dragging them out of the bushes, and doing his best to make them run again. I do listen to your advice though, and it is helpful. If there is a suggestion you guys make that makes sense, I do my best to put your advice into action. Thanks for your positive input and Thanks Again Fer Watchin' -Rick
+Brandon Clarke I have a video that I still need to edit of a trip Jamie and I made to New Mexico. I think it will be a pretty long one. Thanks again, -Rick
good to hear buddy, I'm from iowa if I was any closer I'd bring my trailers and my crew out for a week but that's a ways to travel, hope to hear good news from ya, and keep those video's comin' - Steve
Say they're so you and Jamie got to sell them trucks or what or is this an old video before you got your property I'm not sure there's some of them trucks for sale and are they reasonable I'm 73 years old looking for a good old truck that I can work on other than this damn Dodge van I got a 90 Dodge van but I old school did it's got points tribute or car racer I couldn't work on that burn up the computer everything on me on the freeway but I fixed it but I'd sure like to have an old school truck thank you talk to you later
HI RICK AND JAMIE WILL YOU USE THE OLD 1957 GMC 450 FLAT BED TO MOVE YOUR TRUCK S AND CABS AND PARTS TO YOUR NEW LAND I LOOK AT YOUR UA-cam SHOW EVEY DAY WEN NEW ONE COME UP KEP UP THE GOOD WORK TAKE CARE ROGER
+Roger Shellman yes, we will be using Wendell-T to move cabs and frames. Thank you for watching and I will try to get another video finished in the next day or two. Really busy with the new property right now. -Rick
I WAS a DIE HARD Chevy fan UNTIL I worked on them a few years ago after retiring, ChevyGMC Trucks LESS than 6 years old....Brakes lines RUSTED Nearly in two!!. Speedo not working?? Oh a RASH of bad instrument panels no problemo..just buy a NEW one for nearly 400 bucks!!. Doors wouldn't open...latches not working wiring screw ups BIG TIME Computer problems...Diagnosis??GM Trucks are JUNK!!! Buy a FORD or DODGE...
+packingten Well, I think the Chevy and GMC trucks that I specialize in were built pretty well. I can't speak for the newer ones, because to be honest, I can't afford one. Classic Truck Rescue is just that. CLASSIC Truck Rescue. We love ALL Classic trucks and don't say that a 50 to 60 year old truck sucks because we have a bad experience with a truck that was built recently. We WILL buy a Ford, or a Dodge, or a Studebaker or International....but we will also continue to buy Chevy and GMC trucks. We buy Classic Trucks. We save Classic Trucks. We love Classic Trucks. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Peace-Out! -Rick
Thank You Wendell for your Service on CV-3!
I for one think that Jamie is awesome....very sweet and beautiful woman. You did well to get her for a mate and she gets right in and helps out. Keep on keeping on. I love your show and that you both love the Lord. You both are not afraid to say I love you to each other and mean it....as you say peace out!!
I am so thankful you guys are taking care of all the old iron! It makes me know there are people who still care!
I like that white truck yall call Buddy 🚚nice truck keep up the good work👌
I definitely feel that getting to know the interesting history behind any vintage car or truck adds a lot to the feeling for them. You Guys are a natural good choice for this one!
+Lee Gathers Definitely. Knowing the history of a vehicle changes the whole picture. We love it when we can get the details like that. Thanks Again Fer Watchin' Lee. -Rick
I loved that she sent the history of the truck and thanks for sharing what you do.
Right on
A man waiting for his old project truck to arrive.
Passion. Keep up the hobby!
+eddie telleed They are like children to me. they have character. thank you and Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
+scott scottswart440 Where do you want me to send the ticket? Just kidding. We'll get it done Scott. May the Lord Bless you also my friend. -Rick
Pennsylvania is alot like Oregon when it comes to old cars, junkyards r full of them, and people backyards too, wish I could save them
+Classic Truck Rescue GRAND GORGEN.Y. SLEEPER CAR PLEASE and does Jamey have a spare dyalisis machine kicking around LOL!!!
+Tristan Baker Yeah I know you guys have that goofy rust/inspe action law there to right?
scott scottswart440 idk im only 15 my dad takes my truck for inspection, and my truck has surface rust
Compliment taken and appreciated Charles. Thank you and Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
Thanks to share.

Your right we all think Jaime is cool, But what you two are doing is ever cooler, cheers brother
+udizzy1969 Well, your positive and encouraging comments are pretty cool too. Thanks Again Fer Watchin' -Rick

Just an awesome video!! Love watching all your videos, Love all the history of the trucks!
Glad you like them!
+Earnharvick All they need is a little, love, attention, patience and understanding. They deserve it. Thanks Again Fer Watchin' Buddy. -Rick
A great video to end off my night.
+SlamzZ 240 same here i stayed up to watch now its midnight lol
+Brandon Clarke Thanks Fer Stayin' up and Watchin' Guys. I know this one was a bit rough, but I had a lot of work to do on Homer today. -Rick
+SlamzZ 240 Thanks Fer Stayin' up and Watchin' Guys. I know this one was a bit rough, but I had a lot of work to do on Homer today. -Rick
Got yourself a great collection of GM's Rick! I have a couple myself, a '64 GMC pickup factory 4X4 that is currently in restoration and a '61 GMC 5000. Really enjoy seeing these old trucks resurrected again, keep up the great work!
I would like to see all the trucks and have a good time talking to you about the old one I have hauled
You're one hard working dude.
nice nice nice trucks thank
Wendell T GMC did I call him that Chuckle...... RESPECT WENDELL Peace Out
It sounds like Wendell was an amazing man.
I agree. Wish I could've met him. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
He'll be comin' around that corner when he comes... He'll be comin' around that corner when he comes!...
He'll be comin' around the corner...he'll be comin' around the corner.......Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
He even brought that whole parade of cars behind him.... never knew so many people would come out for the Farm Truck delivery ;-)
awesome video!
+rdmccun Thank you, and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
That is a really cool truck! I'd love to have one like it some day. Rick, you and Jamie both have wonderful personalities!
+Chip Wright We are what we are...thank you Brother. Positive, encouraging input is always appreciated. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I really like this truck! It so sweet with the letter (from last owner) and everything, and on top it's such a nice front end on that truck! Rick is very nice, but Jamie is so cool! Especially when she just gets in and drives them old trucks! And a 302, makes it very cool! A Hot Rod and Dry Lake hero!
i am working on a 1951 GMC half ton, im gonna be looking for a bed for it, i love what u are doing and saving these old trucks
another awesome truck love the name ,keep up the awesome job of saving this sweet Boys
+Greg Tice We will. May have to slow it down for awhile, but when we come back, we will be better equipped to do what we do. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
+Classic Truck Rescue hey Rick if I lived closer would love to help ya move ,but I live in Michigan
+Greg Tice Stop by Minnesota on your way and pick up that 58 GMC Firetruck that I already paid for. Haha. -Rick
Great video Rick. Jamie is a beautiful girl.
Yes she is. Thank you. -Rick
Love all your big trucks and want to buy one from you eventually.
Classic Truck Rescue
Hey Rick, no problem I will get over on the back side of our Lake in the next few days and take some shots of that bad boy and send them to you. Take care bud.
+Steve Priest (68-FordMan) Cool, looking forward to seeing it. -Rick
I swear when that driver hopped out of the truck I thought it was itchyoldfart56. 🤣🤣🤣. I remember when I was a kid the school bus I took had the bullfrog nose. They were so tough looking.
Thank you for another great video. :) :)
+gene wiley Thank you for Watchin' another video Gene. Seriously...-Rick
Cool truck , beaver tail the rear end and use her as a flat bed recovery truck to collect so more great trucks , keep up the good work 😊 Paul UK
-Rick
You and Jeff Bradshaw must be good buds hey ,This old truck
+Garnett M. I've always enjoyed watching Jeff's Videos. He actually stopped by about a month ago. Nice guy and knows his stuff. Yes, he is definitely a Buddy and I have a lot of respect for him. -Rick
+Classic Truck Rescue I like his vids too .
+Garnett M. Me too.-Rick
Yet another winning video you two! Definitely have to visit you guys when I'm back in the States next year. Peace-out from your #1 Aussie fan Al :)
I hope you have time to update us eager followers about your move to the new "Classic Truck Rescue Ranch" (just a few short videos so we can follow the action)
Im sure i speak for all followers when i wish you luck with the move.
Keep up the good work.
Sinserely David from Sweden.
+David Åhman this is the kind of input that is both helpful, and encouraging. Thank you. I will take the advice you and other viewers have offered and include videos of the new property as we make progress on the new Classic Truck Ranch. I think it will be interesting and rewarding to watch what some Faith, hard work, determination and a beautiful piece of land can be turned in to.
awesome truck
+Jim Rowlings Thank you and Thanks Again Fer Watchin' -Rick
Fare winds and following seas Wendell! You and your truck is very much respected. We sure love it when they fire up and purr! Did that have tilt bed? If so , some heavy duty ramps and center fold down braces on the ramps with a heavy duty winch you could load a truck on back similar to when you hauled banana rammer.
+Glenn Bell It does have a tilt bed and it already has provisions on the back of the bed for the ramps. Look for Wendell T to be hauling some Classic Trucks in the future my friend and Thanks again Fer Watchin' -Rick
Beautiful save!
So glad you are preserving this part of history. What part of the country is this collection growing? Would be awesome to see.
+Salvatore Cosenza The Pacific Northwest region of the United States of America my Friend. Beautiful.......Thanks Fer Watchin'. - Rick
I like the bigger trucks too
This guys' wife/girlfriend is a keeper
I would love to have one of these old trucks for a daily driver.. Maybe do a body-off resto and put in a diesel or at least an automatic. Maybe upgrade the rear end.. Heat and A/C.. Stuff like that. Way cool.
Well I too think Jamie is real cool too, And Jamie I dig how feminine and kick ass bad ass you are . A perfect match with Ole Rick and this classic Truck Ranch . Keep yourself tough yet soft as all ways , "Peace Out".
Hmmmm. Thanks?
thats a great powerhouse motor i had an old 300cu industrial motor with a 1 barrel carb, it was in a 1970 19ft winnebago, and it would pull the pass here in washington pulling a 16ft bayliner and loaded to the hilt up and over the pass at 50MPH with the vacuum gauge buried on zero, LOL.
+Dennis Brown Yes, the industrial 6-cylinder is a Torque-Monster. I agree, they are amazing in the right application. -Rick
-Rick
💘 old truck like old truck
-Rick
Kid and toy love all inda Terry
hey I want to go work for this dude I love doing work on old trucks and classic cars its sooo much fun
rick, I want to work for u, I'm in auto tech school right now but I've got six months left of class and I love working on classic machines that were built tough to last
+Brandon Hall You wouldn't want to work for me right now Brandon.
Thank you Rick I would absolutely love to work on old iron
+Classic Truck Rescue P.S. I will stay in touch with you over the next six months
+Brandon Hall Sounds good, I check my channel often for comments.
She is pretty, and pretty cool LOL
RIP Wendell.
+Charles Dyer Wendell Lives on....Thank you, -Rick
Chuck has a nice 5th wheel is that some what around a early 90-95 ford 800 class chassis Rick... Wesley NY.
+wgoldenny Chuck is a real life-saver. Really neat guy. I believe his truck is late-80's, or early 90's. You are correct. That is a real nice setup he has. thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Another great video Rick, Wendell T GMC is a good looking truck. Can't wait to see the new Classic Truck Ranch. What ever happened to the Super Bee?
The person with the most TOYS when he dies Win's ..
+Ben Stah (bs495) The person with the most toys may find himself losing out to the person who spreads the most joy. That said, having a full toybox sure makes it funner. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Yep
CLASSIC CHEVY/GMC RESCUE I WOULD SAY
+CUMITA-4WD And you DID say. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
At least they live with their bretheren! :-)
+gbowne1 Heck...at least they LIVE. Some of these trucks would be toast if they hadn't wound up here. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Yeah, nobody seems toh know value of such anymore. Unless your a serious collector or such
+gbowne1 Correct, the true value of these trucks is that they helped build this country. We believe they are a huge part of American history. That is why it is such a shame when they are scrapped. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
My dad sold it to his brother in Michigan and my Ucle passed Away n his Son Got it
Can you please give me the address or your old location? Really nice old truck. How is it doing these days?
you can reach me directly at rick@classictruckrescue.com
Whenever I heard "Wendel T, the GMC", I kept thinking "Booker T and the MG's"
+Mike Borraccia Might make some nice background music. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
hi rick how long is wendel ts truck bed he has cool set in the cab
+Curtis Shafer He's just plain cool my Friend. His bed is 18 feet long. Thank you, and Thanks Again Fer Watchin' -Rick
+Marcel Timmers I agree. America is by no means perfect, but I do love my country and appreciate the freedom we have here. Thank you, -Rick
I think he should hold the camera from now on. she would spice up your videos considerably.
Thanks, Don
+Don Churchill (VO1DFC) I've come across several, but they are usually priced beyond the reach of my tiny little budget. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Saludos maestro desde Costa Rica, como pudiera obtener este folleto de los cien mejores boleros?.
-Rick
u should do a video of the truck the one behind the barn with the flames hood, at 25:50
+Tristan Baker if you are talking about the big 57 Chevy 6500 truck, that video will have to wait. -Rick
Classic Truck Rescue okay, and u r welcome gald I was able to help ya name a truck
Rick ....what's the hang up with 50s Era trucks...it's cool what your doing. ...but jeez give the 60s Era trucks a chance. ....
when are you going to come out with new video
+spackmaster Chavez Its all good. I will take care of it. thank you, -Rick
wow like a tank lol
+Gale Gregory Wendell-T IS somewhat like a tank. I agree. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
were did that army truck come from will you tell us about it
+Roger Shellman Okay, you just forced my hand. I've had a lot of people ask about that truck, so I will do a quick video of it this weekend. Its a 1953 GMC Military rig and Jamie actually went out and rescued it all by herself...seriously. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
If that last number is a 10th. of a mile then you have a 7,020.9 mils. probably a farm truck.
+vetterfellow Wendell T GMC has found a home in the collection of 1955-1959 Chevy and GMC work trucks I am putting together so that America can see what built this country. Thank you, -Rick
has anybody else noticed the intro and outro is louder then the main video?
Thanks for your positive input and Thanks Again Fer Watchin' -Rick
id love longer videos lol if you think theres more video footage youd think we would enjoy
+Brandon Clarke I have a video that I still need to edit of a trip Jamie and I made to New Mexico. I think it will be a pretty long one. Thanks again, -Rick

+SinatraGaming I restore some. Some I find new homes for, and some are for parts. -Rick

O
boomer two 2017 update...
-Rick
