Runs like this are why I will never give up on my, dramatic, needy, oil-starved, never-running, temperamental, gold-digging Subaru.
Heck yeah! When you look at the cars that we beat, you get a sense of how capable the WRX/STI chassis is.
Thanks for watching an Stay Tuned!
I want to build mine soo damn bad. Unfortunately the gold digging part is holding me back atm lol.
@@michaelcarter3149 Take your time. There is no hurry... Until the green flag drops :-)
@@michaelcarter3149 youre telling me 😂😂 Mines been sitting for months now while i wait on parts
Beyond stoked to have been there to witness this! Second fastest WRX/STI up the mountain ever!
Heck yeah!
Soon to be the fastest :-)

who was the first?
Hell of a run Scott! Congrats, you guys looked great up there! Curious, did Harvey have a hand in this tune? Sounds strong!!💪
Thanks for the comment! Yes, Harvey was supporting us at the race, and has tuned the car with the Haltech and sequential.
Stay Tuned!
Insane!!! Congrats .. we as a community should support companies like this!!!
Thanks so much!
Stay Tuned!
Shoutout to the marmot risking his life at the end.
Bonus points for the unequal length headers : ]
I know where I'm taking my Sube to finish off my time attack build. As soon as I can get my wife on board... (or convince Jerry down the street to let me tarp it in front of his house...)
Excellent!
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
А какая разница в мощности двигатели при такой разнице в высоте подъёма?
Guess it’s time to take my completely stock ‘17 STI for a spin and pretend I can drive like this.
Great video guys! Listen to the pod and it’s great hearing your thought process on certain modifications and how it’s coming together.
Thanks very much! And glad that you are enjoying the Podcast.
Stay Tuned for more!
Was it 4th fastest in time attack? Awesome run! I saw the ford and Acura videos posted before and was like where’s the Subie??
Yep, 4th place in TT1 and just 2 seconds off the podium. Crazy that a 400 whp Subaru could be just 2 seconds behind a 997 GT3 RS 🙂
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
Great job guys!
P.S. If I don't get a Flatirons Tuning sticker in my next package, I will unsubscribe 🤣🤣😅
Thanks very much!
Stay Tuned!
What a thrilling run! All the decisions you guys made while weighing the risks paid off in the end this year. Fantastic.
I didn't realize how much those pressure sensors on the stick needed to be punished to work properly, that looked like a hell of a workout driving on the edge and punching out the shifter every few seconds. Bravo.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
Hell yea! what a way to wind down after work. Congrats on the times. Also those gears sound badass. Just raw power transfer. Race car go Brrrr! hahaha
Fantastic! Not bad for just over 400 whp 🙂
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
8:10 I was sitting next to the snow on the right, this thing sounded AMAZING after he got back on throttle, the mountain amps up the sound so much. What an awesome run!
Thanks very much, and sounds like you had a fantastic seat to watch the race!

Congrats from Aust. x2 WRX owner .Great drive a fitting result for a Long "Week" Plus .
Thanks very much! Really appreciate that.
Stay Tuned!
Seems like your typical Impreza daily driver to me.
Luckily the cop at the top didn't see you coming up the mountain!
Don't worry, we're professionals :-)
After the upshift after the hairpin at 2:59 the shift lights started blinking red for the rest of the run. What happened there?
The initial fault was an over-rev, but it didn't clear.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
@ 10:18 Props to the motor for surviving that mishap. This entire run made a believer that the Ej257 isn't such a turd after all haha
Especially when you consider this is a stock longblock :-) It absolutely gets the job done.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
@@FlatironsTuning, no way that's stock 😮
Not even pistons???
What fuel was used on the run?
@@Dantutz Nope. Stock Type RA block. We did overheat, so we actually put another one in Thursday:
ua-cam.com/video/pD50ynu37hs/v-deo.htmlsi=h62wC0GhFqNAA6jm
We are running E85 for fuel.
Yes, I've seen the video about the borrowed engine.
Well, congrats on achieving such a performance on a stock unit.
Is this on racing slicks?
Yes, we run on Hoosiers.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
This is why i will continue running rype ra block for my s209. Great job! Love to see the dry sump and sequential trans working well with the stock long block. Curious what turbo and headers you are running?
Rcm450 turbo and tomei header
Thanks for the question. We have the RCM450 turbo (Because we needed a replacement for our MDX-450 on short notice) and the RCM UEL header. We need that to clear the Dry Sump.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
Thanks for sharing the video. You was getting it.
wow those cliffs 😮 really start to get steeper the higher you go up 😂. How do you handle the anxiety?!
Lets gooo! Great job guys 💪
Thanks very much!
Stay Tuned!
What caused the shift lights to lose their mind at about minute 3? Thanks for sharing- was there on the mountain cheering you on.
when googlemaps says ETA 30 mins. Me in 29 mins.
You can do it!
Thanks very much! Stay Tuned!
Awesome
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
Excellent run! Really makes me want to rebuild my dead WRX! Great work!
Yes!
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
Oh hell yea!!
Let’s go!!! ❤
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
Why did the shift light go to full flashing red after the 3 minute mark, when it had been working previously? I figured it was just punishing the driver for having overreved on a downshift. 😉
I thought that was the "danger to manifold" warning?
Yep, that was an over-rev warning. We need to make sure those clear so the shift light comes back.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
I love me a subaru likes this in co spgs. couldnt stop eyeing it at the fest
Sent!
100%
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
I love how they went out and did so well and with all the problems they had they battled through and had an amazing outcome. Such a strong pull to the top for sure. Love it. Waited all day on the live feed to see the run too, but they didn’t really have the subie rumble making this the way better vid
Thanks for watching and thanks for your support.

is that the dry sump that making most of the whining? also were do you guys keep the dry sump reservoir?
Thanks for watching and thanks for your question. Those are the gears for the most part.
Here is a video detailing our Dry Sump setup:

What a beautiful run on a beautiful day. Hats off to everyone that made this happen
Thanks very much!
Could not believe that the weather held out for each and every car...

Well done guys! 🙌👏
Thanks very much! Stay Tuned!
Wow
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
You guys still using an RA block?
Thanks for watching and thanks for the question.
Yes, Type RA block and stock heads believe it or not :-)
Stay Tuned!
@FlatironsTuning Sounds like you guys stuck with an UEL exhaust manifold too..killer b ?
@@beaches2mountains230Pretty sure Killer B doesn't make a UEL exhaust manifold. If they do, you'll have me very intrigued.
Wooooo!
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
Well. It's a run for sure. But kinda super slow
