They had the plastic from 58 to 69. They last 4 years they had the glass. A lot of guys go with the plastic on the restorations of late models to save the headache... Plus the glass is expensive to replace if it breaks.
Very cool just one more reason I like everryone in the garage it does not mater what your doing 9 times out of 10 someone else will know how to help you get to were your going with less head achecs. Great advice from my Darrin. Have a great week.
Greg, noce! I was sad to hear you cracked the bodywork but as you said, the top wasn't going to fit without clearnacing that hole - so a mans gotta to what a mans gotta do!
thats a good trick with the hot water---gottta love it when a plan falls together. ive been making some pretty good progress with my chevelle as well--take care cuz
That was my Thomy Shuu flavor... Snack-a-rama, crack-a-rama... You get it. I'm not worried about it. I need to repaint a handful of spots at some point. Right now, I'm in assembly mode. Will address my stupidity later in life.
Very creative fix Greg! VWdarrin has all the answers! Nice work in executing the solution. Top is looking good.
Keep your fingers crossed. I need to put another day or two into the top, then it's carpet and seats. After that, trim and details. It's close.
Good tip about the boiling water...it's looking good.

I have a hand steamer on my list for doing the rest of the interior... Gotta find a good deal on one somewhere.

Agreed. It worked out really sweet. Now maybe I can get on with the rest of the restoration!!!
Sux that the bodywork cracked. You going to try to do a spot repair on it, or you still thinking about an overall respray?

The hot water saved my bacon.
