Watching Hunter x Hunter was one of the best experiences of my life and I can only recommend you to start this masterpiece. This anime is actually extremely dark, even if it doesn’t seem like it in the beginning. It’s famous for its amazing power system and of course that one arc that’s considered by many people to be the greatest arc in all of anime. Since Ending 5 plays during that arc, it has a special place in my heart and is my favorite ending as well.

For me it’s hard to pick my #1 from either Just Awake (ED1) or Hyori Ittai (ED5 and 6). They’re both such GOATs 🐐plus this show is one of the best animes ever made
There are 2 versions of the anime, the first in 1999, and then a reboot in 2011- these openings and endings are from the reboot. The 2011 version is more caught up to the manga, though there may be some episodes worth catching in the first version (like the first episode), so the 2011 version is what most people watch (since you would need to switch to it at a certain point anyway to continue the story). The manga isn’t finished, but it’s suffered multiple long hiatuses due to the author’s health- there have been new chapters released recently I believe, but we don’t really know if/when there will be more adapted into the anime. If the anime is never continued, it’s at a somewhat satisfying stopping point though
It's one of my fav anime, the worldbuilding is amazing, much darker than it seems on the surface and we get to know it graduating the mc. But I'd say the ending is much more hopeful than sad. And I totally agree with you on the eds, the last 2 ones are my fav, I almost can sing the song (damn my limited japanese knowledge)
The ending panel of YuYu Hakusho, Togashi's older manga, end with a picture of the main four. The fact the anime make the last ed like this. The respect!
As someone who really appreciates Josuke and got into HxH because Knuckle shared a similar kind of hairstyle, yeah. It's part of a delinquent subculture and not something created by Araki. Something tells me one of Hisoka's poses is based off of Rohan's, but that's another thing entirely 😅
