natebham UA-cam is being really slow about processing. Not sure what's up. Video should be 720p 60fps. And since I know someone will ask, 1080p 60fps capture only really took off with elgato's new offering about a year ago. Before that you were looking at questionable quality/support or a much more expensive device. Less than $200 for my Intensity Pro vs $1000 for the same company's 1080p60fps option.
The Xbone/PS4 hardware is nowhere near as bleeding edge vs PC as was the xbox360/ps3 at launch. If it was we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I think it was a business decision to play it safe by deliberately shortening the cycle time and selling the systems at a profit vs the loss the previous gen was sold at launch. Sony was just able to better execute on this strategy. When most people bought last (7th) gen they didn’t start out playing on an HD TV. It felt good knowing that your system was so advanced you needed a new TV to support it. Now most people own 1080p displays but in many cases the current gen can’t support it. This doesn’t seem right. I agree MS will definitely be the first to move on the 9th gen. I also agree that 1080p will definitely be the standard or minimum by then. The caveat IMO will be at the point 4K will start to really become affordable. Will we be looking at another generation that can’t support the display products already owned by consumers? Would a faster cycle time or 2K help? Only Time (see what I did there) will tell.

zx6guy i dont think that following gen will be 1080p allways at 60 fps wich is affordable, just buy a pc dont even needs that much money .When all casual gamers will game on 1440p and some more ambicious gamerson 4k. konsole gamers will be envy again waiting for next gen which will have gigantic problems its same old shit konsoles died for me after ps3 they will survive maximum 2 new generations thats all.
You know what Fuck 30FPS, FUCK 60FPS we have (technically) had 60FPS on Console SINCE THE FUCKING DREAMCAST (LOOK IT UP!) which was released BEFORE 2000 (November 27th 1998 to be exact) We had a large number of games running at 60FPS on the Xbox 360 and PS3, and MOST on the BASE XB1 and PS4's as well at 920 - 1080p. "Targeting" 60FPS for another 6 - 10 years in exchange for 4K IS TOTAL BULLSHIT. Give me 120FPS MINIMUM!!! Fuck it I'll take 1440p, I'll take 1080p or even 920p But Fuck sub 120FPS gaming from 2021 Onwards, ANY GAME NOT GAURENTEEING A SOLID 120FPS AT LAUNCH, I'M NOT BUYING IT, PERIOD! Game design and general graphics today already look amazing even on the pathetically weak base current gen consoles, Look at CoD MW 2019, BF5, Skyrim remastered WITHOUT mods, these games look stunning WITHOUT Raytracing, DLSS or 1440p+ resolutions, if these are current games running around Mid-ish settings at 1080p 60FPS TODAY, then just give me 1080p High/Ultra settings at 120 - 144FPS on next gen, you know the systems supposed to be 4X more powerful than the Xbox One X is today so where's the problem. Seriously Fuck 4K Gimme dem FRAMES!

I think all of it only matter when in a argument about games or consoles. Gameplay and art style are the only things that matter.
