Some of Polish pilots fighting in Polish Ari forces in Great Britain after II world war went to Pakistan who just get independent. Incredible story indeed. It should be documentary about that on UA-cam.

I remember when I was a kid in Malbork I used to sneak on to the military airbase area and watch the MiG-21 take off and land. I used to love the sonic booms. It was legal for the pilots to go supersonic back then.

Fun fact: on average, women can withstand more g-force than men can without passing out, making them more suited for being fighter pilots, this is why Israel has a majority female Air Force.
