Very excited to be able to enjoy Jim Beam again. How would you rank these three?
Enjoy your content. Haven't had the bakers, but the JB seemed less viscous and more flat than HH does for me. Everyone has their tastes and that is why I like the community. thanks
Never tried Heaven Hill BIB but really seeing more of them here in Colorado. Bakers 7 I've had 8 years 10 month that was so good. Currently have a 7 year 5 month that's good too. I'm on Jim Beam Black 7 bottle three got another bottle at Denver Liquor Galaxy for $25. Great value great easy sipper

It’s surprised me. I’m happy that I’m able to enjoy something from the Jim beam o.g line up again.

I’ve had all but the Jim beam. Enjoyed both so it sounds like the black is similar. For the money I have to get it right? $20 is nothing in bourbon now. Thanks for doing this blind.

Haven't had the JB 7 yet and I'm a big fan of the HH 7 so can't pull a comparison out of this without me doing a blind. I'm pretty sure the Bakers will take the lead but second place is up in the air until I blind these. Great job on your picks here. Enjoy!!
Did you end up getting a 7 year jim beam?
@@TheWhiskeyCove I did and it is good for the cost but not close to the HH7 year. It has flavors that are similar to old tub if you added water to proof it down. Pretty standard JB really is it better than the white label yes and by a lot. If I have friends over that are mixers this would be a great option for them to make a cocktail.

I had a bottle of bakers and i just didn't like it. Drank way hotter than 107 proof. I have a bottle of the HH and really like it. Going to get a bottle of the JB 7 when in LA in a few weeks because it's $21 there 😄
Did you end up getting that Beam 7?
@@TheWhiskeyCove i did among with a MM cask, JD SBBP and michters us1 bourbon. The JB7 is good for $20. It didn't blow me away but I'm also letting it sit now to open up some. I will say that the michters at $22 wasn't any better. That surprised me but my taste buds might have been off too.
Loved this review. I think $100 is too much for generic mgp juice. My two cents.
Need some opinions from the whiskey community. Preferably from people who do NOT like Jim Beam White 80P;
Many bourbon fans think JB White is a bad tasting product, including me. Also, do not like JB Double Oak (nose is Ok) & it was even worse with cola. Both of those are completely undrinkable for me & the only 2 "Jim Beam" products I ever had.
DO really enjoy other Beam products like all the Knob Creek line including the Ryes, OGD Bonded & 114.
So, for people with the above taste preference, is there any chance that they will like this new JB Black 7yr???
The local hooch store has the JB7 1.75L $35.99+tax, which is same price as WT101 & $9+ more than Evan Will BiB.
IMO if you want a 90 proof Bourbon for essentially the same price as the new Jim Beam Black 7y do yourself a favor and buy the Evan Williams 1783, especially the American Hero Edition. It's a much better bottle ALL DAY LONG. Again that's just IMO. Cheers 🥃😎

I don't necessarily want a 90 Proof bourbon, just looking for good stuff at a good price. Will prob wait & see if I can get a taste of JB7, before buying.. Do generally prefer 100P+ juice. A cpl weeks ago blinded (2) 100P bottles (both costing less) against Buffalo Trace 90P & picked EW BiB for a clearly more robust palate.. When i get to east coast in July, already plan on getting 1.75L of EW 1783 as it's $29.99 out the door right now, no sales tax.. So is the American Hero edition better/different juice or does it just taste better knowing u paid the same price & supported some real American Heroes!
@@motohead077 only reason I said 90 proof is to highlight that it is same proof as the Jim Beam Black.
@@motohead077 the American Hero Edition is a small batch of selected barrels of the regular 1783. So like a blend of several single barrels.. Same flavor profile as the regular 1783 yet slightly different
@@piperjon Thanks! yes, thought u were comparing 90P, makes sense.. All 1783 is labelled as "small batch", but that is not a legal whiskey term, so it's just the view of that manufacturer. 1783 90P is officially NAS. Noticed BB review of it claims it is 6-8yr. Though they also list BT as 8-10yr, so don't know what to believe about that. How it tastes for you, is the main characteristic.
