I think this is actual the "hard mode"... coming up with this level of creativity is actually the hardest part. This is what leads most solo creators to burnout because it takes everything in you to come up with unique ideas or trying to offer more value or unique spin than anyone else in the niche.

    • @user-nlvmruu
      @user-nlvmruu 3 місяці тому +2

nooo ur just being blind to your advantages. this is just about what are your unfair advantages and then exploit those which actually makes it easy instead of trying to copy and compare. it’s about being unique to you. it takes time to figure yourself out if you’re not self aware but the most successful are exploiting their unfair advantages making content ideas easy the hard part is all the work that goes into the videos the editing etc

I do asmr so I think my strongest point is my vibe. meditating, being physically active, being challenged at work, finding peace, starting conversation with random people in the streets, etc. all show itself when I record a video. I genuinely get more views when I align my life on a better lifestyle path

  • @jolevelup
    @jolevelup 3 місяці тому +20

Notes for me to come back to on this video.
    1. Use leverage
-let people know your expertise, your words are worth more
    2. Be Unconventional
-but do it in a relatable way
-can't get too far left that the algorithm doesn't know who to show your video to.
    -break things, especially coveted things
-doing things different, gibing things away, spending more, providing fresh ideas, original thought, going to extremes
    -extreme budget challenges.
    3. Magnetism
-the energy you bring within the video itself
-being funnier or having more fun on camera, more welcoming or cozy feeling
    -Welcoming: Emily Norris
-Pick-Up Limes: Wholeness and complete life
    4. Research
-Going further than what is out there
    -Breaking down complex into simple
    5. Unique Access
    -Living conditions
    - Showing something normal to you that is abnormal to everyone else
    How to Play The cards
    1. Identify which card you can play right now or increasing value on the card on the ones you've played
    2. Fit them into content strategy
-Where are they going to go?
    -How often
-How deep are we going to integrate this?
    3. Strengthen them, make them more obvious
    4. Adapt and Pivot Accordingly
-You can play more cards at once.

Must admit I was hoping for more 😥😥I agree with some of the comments about creativity. It is all about approaching content in a new way that captures the audience's attention. This is not as easy as swapping the cards you play, it creates a lot of work. You need to check what is out there already and try to do something different. And the universe (oops I mean UA-cam) is so large and dynamic, this is definitely HARD mode.
Small content creators - hang in there! it took me 4 years to reach partnership but I did it by continuing to be myself, sticking to my values and focusing on the content I wanted to create. YOU can do it. Just be prepared for a marathon and not a quick game of cards 😁😁

By the end of 2024 I started making comparisons videos, because that space was abandoned in my niche, but at the recap of 2024 I managed to get 301k views in 2024, and I found out that my audience was starving for comparisons and they appreciated the content a lot. Now granted the videos don't do well at the time of upload but they are turning evergreen. I did a lot of stuff without being aware of the fact if it working or not and it turned out to be good to what I expected. So I think I did it in the right direction 😊

Nate I’m pausing this video to comment because this is a great video about so many key unspoken things that sooo many youtube advice people here do not dive into. You are playing the queen card in this one. first of all, this is really a shallow dive into PR and branding oneself or business. These are the pillars that most branding experts and PR professionals are trying to build for their clients. Even when a client has no real professional experience they try to create opportunities for their clients to then eventually have a professional card to tag to their presence. It’s also so good because you can go to any channel and click on most popular videos and those viral videos that people have had - they fit one or more of these card categories. the best videos are the exactly what you’re describing and can be applied to any niche. especially in smaller niches or smaller channels or just people who have less cards in general - the question is how can I use whatever i have even if it’s being small and broke to double down on helpful information for others while also showing my personality and unique positioning. great job please more videos on this!

I do think about the difference between my channel at 2.3k and some of my peers at 50k (we work in a niche category so rarely get huge anyway), but nonetheless your points are valid. It is truly sad how you find yourself so funny... actually it is refreshing. Too many "professional" creators are stuffed shirts. There are so many folks making raw videos that do well because the creator IS the niche. Thanks for reminding us to be who we are... contrary to popular belief, these little slices of life do not have to be Gone With the Wind. Yeowza!
One more thing Nate; many of us cannot afford you. We either have the money or we don't. However, you have laid out a course of instruction that is worth untold amounts of money and benefit for free (yes, we gotta Boop that button) for the taking. Your point about digging deeper, doing more than others can stand on this one fact. You have provided a concise and pointed set of lessons for anyone to follow to a more successful experience on the tube. Reviewing you videos, paying close attention, taking notes, reading between the lines till our eyes and ears bleed will being many of us along. We can grow and improve our work in so many ways. You have become a force multiplier as a teacher. Thank you. I look forward to the day I can send you money and have your direct attention.

As a side note, I notice that I'm growing increasingly annoyed every time creators beg for likes and subscribers. Is it just me? I remember watching videos a few years ago proving it to be a net positive for creators, but is it still true? I would speculate that most UA-cam viewers today are fully aware of the importance of likes, subs, and watch time. This compared to your invite for the upcoming cohort, which felt way more natural and just another way for you to provide even more good content.
Would love to hear back from you!

Making something that the audience is trying to accomplish simpler: Cell phone screens are small and it's hard for us older folks to watch UA-cam on our phones… solution is to display whatever is on your Cell Phone screen and show it on a 32” video flat screen. Video already shot, just need to edit. ... Gracias for the video amigo ... Javier from Houston, Texas

I really love your videos. Thank you! I add 2 videos/wk and have a YT podcast on the channel, too. I'm thrilled to have any subscribers or views.... yet, I'm bombarded with people reaching out telling me how great my content is.... BUT.... then they send me all the reasons why i need their SEO expert advice. I tell them... that I'm feeling pretty great that it seems all who are selling SEO services are finding me... so there is hope! Lol. 😎
All in all...i have no idea what I could be doing better with my current capacity.
    Thank you for your help!

Great video, Nate! I like the card analogy. Have you ever played 13-card poker? If you are into card games that make you think, it's a good one.

a question from your shorts video !! (SO excited). can we repurpose content ?? i have many mini video essays that would be great to turn into 1-3 min shorts but afraid they could be flagged since i made them a main video first?? let me know your thoughts!!

@jaylynnangelina Yes You can definitely Repurpose Your content! 🙂 This strategy is actually recommended by UA-cam Employees AND UA-cam Educators. Several channels use Shorts as a Preview of their Videos. You could also create a Series of Shorts, I've created a few Series' from one-offs which I keep building, another recommended strategy which I actually started before I heard the recommendation because I had enough content ideas to create Series' - I've linked each Short from a Series together with Related Video. I hope this helps? Best Wishes, Amanda 🙂

What a great concept. I definitely want to upgrade my 2s and 3s to 9s and 10s. I don't think I have anything that's at face card level.

Nate, based on your experience what do YOU have to do to get your channel to 1 million subscribers? Do you think you will get there? Thank you for all your tips!

That’s some solid advice! Just a thought, but I am interested to find out how to unlock content in my niche. I have a sneaky suspicion that the algorithm is hiding other channels related to my niche. It’s hard to understand what cards are being held when you don’t even know who the other players are or how many are out there. Any ideas?
