Can two micro:bits be connected wirelessly and serve as a remote?

  • Step by step tutorial for building a Micro:bit car and programming it for Remote Control with Micro:bit radio. On every platform the system is pretty much the same. Find out the pins for the motor and send the required motor power to them. Although in general I much prefer LEGO over soldering and screwing with Micro:bit, the little board has got it's charm. It's cheap and versatile.

    I am having trouble connecting the pins to the motor and what the arrangement would be. I do not have the same set up as your vehicle in the video.

    Hi Antons.
    Really great.
    I tried doing the same with the Microbit Maqueen robot, but the experiment didn't work so well. The robot only moves forward and stops constantly (trembles). It is possible to do this with a micro:Maqueen?
    Thanks.

    and is the powerboard similiar to batteries?

    Hey, great video. Do you have a wiring diagram for this circuit?

    • @AntonsMindstorms
      @AntonsMindstorms  3 роки тому +1

      No, sorry. But it is real simple. There is a motor driver board with 4 leads, and all of them are connected to a microbit port. I then change the PWM/voltage on these ports to drive the motors.

    Hey Anton, have you ever looked at the Tinkerforge ecosystem? German stuff with interesting characteristics..

      @@AntonsMindstorms It's an interesting ecosystem. For people who are more programmer than electronics guru, they've got tons of components that can all be approached using simple APIs, via multiple languages. They have their site in German and English, but here and there they just prove they can't break free of their German origins.

    • @AntonsMindstorms
      @AntonsMindstorms  5 років тому +1

      The tough part is the radio. There are nice servo blocks in makecode. Just plug the received values in those instead of in a motor pin.

      To go backward, make the other pin go to a 0 value.

  • @niceman567

    Thanks for the video. How do you keep the robot moving straight? My robot does not go straight I was told thats normal as 2 motors may look the same but can run at different speed because of physics (friction , torgue etc)

    • @AntonsMindstorms
      @AntonsMindstorms  2 роки тому

      That's right. If you're good at programming, you can use the car gyro to course correct.

    where is the switch connected on your chassis? on what wires is it connected?

    • @AntonsMindstorms
      @AntonsMindstorms  5 років тому +1

      The switch is in one of the holes of the base plate. It connects or disconnects the +5V between the batteries and the motor board.
