    what tach is that?

    • @beliddel
      @beliddel  2 місяці тому

      @@okobojo Proline Solo wireless tach. Works well but you can’t recharge or change the batteries so once dead you need to buy a new one every 2-3 years. Other option is more expensive FastTach wireless tachometer that allows you to replace the batteries. You can get the proline solo from Sawzilla, and the FastTach from amazon. Sometimes I find the FastTach is a bit too sensitive, why I bought the Solo, but when my Solo battery is dead I’ll go back to my FastTach.

    Looks like the fuel tank was changed on that saw or peiced together

      I describe what’s going on in the rebuild videos. Full rebuild. Tank was replaced with a new one.

    Do you work on saws for a living ?

    • @beliddel
      @beliddel  Рік тому +3

      No, pretty much impossible to make much of a profit building saws. Just an experienced saw user who has gotten tired of paying a lot to others to fix/rebuild my saws, so developed the courage to learn and start rebuilding my own. Costs half as much if not less since I don’t have to pay labor.

    I was always told to let it idle threw a tank of gas at 40 to 1 for break in.....

    • @beliddel
      @beliddel  Рік тому +1

      Absolutely not necessary to run a whole tank at idle! 3 or so shorter heat cycles are all you need before you start putting it under load. You definitely do have to consider how you run the saw for several, if not up to 10 tanks of gas, and how you have the saw tuned during that time. Most of that is outlined in the owners manual. Whether or not you run it at 40 to one or some other mixture the important thing is not to run it any leaner than 50 to one, and make sure you’re using the best quality FD rated two stroke oil there is. With the high lubricity and clean burning of the best two stroke oils out there today there is no need to run overly rich fuel.

      U would have so much carbon on the top of your piston, don't do that
