Richard, would it be an idea to hand over the camera to the team for a few weeks? Their perspectives working and learning alongside you and Yohanna are very valuable for sure. And it allows them a moment or two to reflect on their journeys, your place in it, and how they plan to put these experiences to good use in their own futures? I really loved how the team in the Gracie's Backyard movie had a space to share their own thoughts. And I am sure you'll enjoy watching what they have to share too. Thanks for your openness, 2 shoulders can only carry so much, especially with kids sitting on top of them. Be kind to yourself, all heroes have their hideouts and second identities to allow for recovery time.

Great idea. I’d love to see GoPro head-cam/chest-cam footage of the team in action to see what on goes day-to-day at the farm.

Take care of yourself Richard: you are an inspiration to so many, but don’t bear the weight of us all on your shoulders! The last thing anyone wants is any harm to come to you or your family from over work.

Glad you're taking some R & R time. Very much needed by everyone to stay healthy, clear and grounded. Very well deserved! I would really love to hear from Yohanna (assuming she's willing) and the rest of the team about how it's been for them running the farm this summer with much less input from you, their experiences and so on. Very much enjoying the Farm Like a Hero experience as well. A rich and rewarding summer despite the pandemic!

You brought back a long lost memory of my Mother RIP showing me sheep lungs inflating. She was laughing so hard she got hiccups, I was 5 and fascinated. Thank you so much.

Sending so much love. Sounds like an interesting and challenging time. Hope you don't feel too bad as you have given so much to so many people. Such an important conversation to share. We all need to look after ourselves and farming and education can be all consuming. Good luck with getting your energy back and spending more time with your family. Thank you

I loved hearing Gracie's commentary. She did a great job filming. Adventures from Gracie becoming a regular part of the vlog would be awesome if you would be up for it.

It is so great that you share so honestly the things that don't go to plan. A great shame about the course but if you have taught us all anything it is to be able to adapt as circumstances change, and it would be interesting to hear the reflections of some of the participants. I'll bet that they got all sorts of things out of the course that were not anticipated. Whilst I look forward to your videos, all of your past collection are like a well loved box set that one can always return to and the Farm Like a Hero collection is a constant inspiration. Thank you

The frustrations of Covid are a blessing and a curse to the regen ag movement. Hope you can get Joel over next year and appreciate that would inspire some very interesting conversations.
I've got to thank you forthe work you've done with the book, youtube and the farm like a hero tour, it is giving voice to so many innovators, and I'd expect a great deal of momentum for change of perspectives and practives. It's truly inspiring.

Thank you for everything you've done. Take some rest and enjoy your family. At the end of the day, that's what working is for.

Thank you Richard for your openness, you inspire me! I`m close to start my own chicken& egg & lamb farm.
I`ve processed a lot of beef and lamb, if you have any place to hang the lamb right before you skin it, you will do rest of the job easier. You are such a handyman I believe its going to be piece of cake for you to put together some iron like goalpost shape and hang them with hooks from lambs back legs. Gravity will help you to bleed and remove the organs really fast. Just wanted to share my opinion. Thanks for all the effort. Bless you

I'm happy to hear you will take a step back and regenerate yourself which is most important! You have already done a lifetime amount of work. So enjoy the rest in the inside lane! I truly hope to meet you and family one day! Over and out from Estonia.

Its MUCH easier if you hang the animal up by the hind legs. Use gravity to pull down; it's less effort and time

In my area of Spain we proceed in a similar way but hanging the lamb vertically from its rear legs; gravity helps to eviscerate.

Don't worry about us lazy UA-camrs who admire your up and go. By you stepping back, perhaps more of us will get off line and into on the land action. We totally understand that you need to recharge. I hope you manage to rest. Your contribution to regenerative agriculture is outstanding. It's time for us addicted viewers to now do our part .. Don't worry, we will still check for your uploads even if we have to wait a year or two.... meanwhile we will reread your book...

Please know that your present mental and physical state is as informative and educational as a tour around the farm. ANYBODY who performs ongoing mental and physical tasks will at some point need to stop and make decisions about what the correct next step is. (Seems to me you’ve covered this in your videos.....). I’m thinking Most of us don’t have the same amount of influence you do and so the effects of our decisions aren’t as critical, but if we’re trying to do it right, we all need time to reflect on where our next step will be.. just curious, what did you paint your cottage roof with? I’m in the US and we’re looking at options for our old metal roof. Blessings, clarity and energy.

Not sure if you will see this but I hope you find some peace... I think you share the mentality of many high achievers in being so driven and determined to keep growing that the smaller accomplishments can fade into the background. I am in no place to give you any advice but I hope you can give yourself a break, not a break *in order to* etc. but a genuine break! Maybe even spend a year, or just a month, doing something totally unrelated to agriculture! I think no matter what you decide to do it will be a benefit to the world in one way or another, some people are just like that. Just out of interest what is the business that takes up your mornings and evenings? Is it the online courses etc?

It's more laborious than picking the cuts from the Butcher's (inferred)

Very sorry to learn of the huge disappointment with Joel Salatin. Putting that kind of event together requires at least a thousand decisions, to-do items, and logistical planning. Then, government bureaucracy and a heavy duty electrical storm taking you down - ouch! But, look what it took to wreck it - problems of insurmountable and epic proportions! I feel like each of us who follow your work here on UA-cam all know how fortunate we are to have your documented work as a resource, and we would (I’m guessing) each jump at a chance to inject you with confidence, energy and inspiration. I garden a third of an acre and can barely keep up. No idea how you are not laid out flat even thinking about what you hope to accomplish. Shove us all aside and recharge your batteries with your sweet kids and partner. You all deserve it.
