I’m glad to have found the Veils again. I saw them way back-2007 or 2008 at Dfest festival in Tulsa, Okla. Love their music, Vinn’s vocals and hypnotic stage presence.

the overall style it remind me so much of Nick Cave. With some original Veils twists. Amazing voice and music! The tragedy of being an amazing artist is that you are appreciated after you existence
I saw the band yesterday in Porto, Portugal, and the show was simply amazing.

More like Talk Talk in terms of influence, post new-wave when they invented post-rock. But also original, brilliant and unique,
I don't get it- why arent they popular? Are they avoiding spotlight on purpose or something? Been listening to them for 10 years, I think, and still nobody knows who they are.
Idk, they never really do anything promotional so I guess they're happy with their level of fame. It's probably a good place to be tbf: well known enough to keep making music and playing live full-time, but not so famous that their personal lives are ruined.

Reminds me of a really shivery Thom Yorke. Totally dig their sound! I have a difficult time watching him jitter away while he sings though.

This version of Bones KILLS. The album version is downright sleepy compared to this.
I think it's been adapted for their stage energy for sure. I enjoy the album version more though, it's very reminiscent of the sound Cohen had on I'm Your Man

Longtime Veils and KEXP fan, but the mix is a bit off IMO. Need more of Finn's vocals. The pieces that should be more textural are at the forefront.

Synth drums let it down a little and it's nowhere near as good as Time Stays We Go, but it's still an amazing album.
Uhm. i'm loving the album but I find this live performance a bit...flat.
KEXP would it kill you to put on more bands that use just plain acoustic drums? I miss drums. Seems like the last 10 KEXP live bands I've heard had some form of computerized drums. Really like this one but they need to ditch those damn electronic drums and just play the set.
Spencer Ellsworth The set does involve computerized drums, that's how they wrote it. It's not like you follow them anyway so why does it matter?
too bad the drummer deliberately wants to sound like 80s plastic effects, just cheaper. almost made me switch off after only 20 seconds.
