When the Sonics were making their 3's, they were unstoppable. Really became unguardable

+Joe Kidd Truer words haven't been spoken. Kemp peaked in Seattle and he let drugs and sex take over his life. He gained a massive amount of weight and didn't even look like himself to add on to that.

I remember going to the Key and sometimes going down to watch them play in Portland Payton, Shrempf Kemp, Hawkins, Big Smooth and Mac 10 were my favorite players ever bring back my Sonics
The screeching tires sound for GP and arena announcer yelling “the Reignman” for Kemp are definitely missed! So sad that Sonics management signed McIlvaine to a huge deal and let Kemp go.
Here's a request: Some New York Knicks players highlights. Latrell Sprewell, Allan Houston, Marcus Camby, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson. It's hard to find any games on UA-cam with these guys so that would be great if you do it.

He was the GOAT running big man. Would've been amazing watching him play next to Magic or LeBron. GP wasn't too shabby though.
they had a squad..obviously kemp n the glove get all the attention but detlef hersy hawk nate mcmillian perkins e snow..just saying i liked them too alot..they were good for a long time..
wayne selser Hershey was a lights out shooter, Detlef is the 2nd greatest German player ever (behind Dirk) and was a 19/9/7 peak player. Like a poor mans Larry Bird.
Also Nate McMillan was an amazing ball theif. He averaged 3 steals per game OFF THE BENCH, playing only 26 mins per game. Led the league.
Did you know that the 90s Sonics had 3 players on their team that led the league in steals? Kendall Gill (did so later in the 90s with the Nets), Nate McMillan, Gary Payton. This team was amazing at turning the ball over and getting fast breaks.
Anyway, lol, I can go on and on about how sick this team was.
***** yep. I've always said of they were able to get out of the first round in `94 and '95 they would have been in the Finals. They were the only team to dominate the Rockets in those days. And when they finally did face them in the playoffs in' 96 they swept them.

+George Webb Although now that both have retired we can safely say Jason Kidd was the better one of the two in the end. Even though both won one ring Kidd was still better and more dominant player through his career. Payton was high class in Seattle but after that not so much...
+Zamppa86 In their respective primes I'm taking Payton every time. Kidd didn't dominate both ends of the floor like Payton did, actually no point guard really has since.
Kidd still dominated enough to lead the Nets, which was full of mediocres besides Mr Triple Double, into the finals twice. Payton did lead his team into the Finals just once back in '96 and the Sonics were quite highly stacked that season. Still thinking Kidd was better!

These games were wayyyy to physical for the players today. There were no "clear path" fouls back then. It WAS a men's game. These guys also made half as much money as the players today and weren't jumping on bandwagon causes like BLM. They just played basketball. NBA basketball at its peak.
Id love to see bam try ts at least the motor part of wht kemp brought. Only 6-10 and a lean 225-30 rebounding and goin up strong. Thats just effort if bam did even 30% of ts the heat would be an elite force🤷🏾♂️
