Reasons to vote for me in 2020: - Enemies smashed - Curs sent to hell - heads placed on pikes - remain true and steadfast - attacks pressed - all civilized people awed by victories
When I play M2TW : let me carefuly place this watchtower here so i have perfect vision on surrounding territory When LoTW plays M2TW : let me cheese the holy F out of this game and win 100 turns before you could ever dream to
I dont really care about challenges so it is not a complaint by any means, however it is rather funny how in a 'no cav' challenge a whole battle is won by basically a single unit of general cavalry :D
Its been a while since I've played Medieval 2, but how did you get all of the factions unlocked for the grand campaign? When I tried it would only let me select France, England, Holy Roman, Spain, and Venice.
Slaitor I think you have to beat the campaign once and then they all unlock. Or you can do some file-finagling and rewrite the code so they're unlocked. I've heard that's possible but never did it myself.
Just win a short campaign as anyone you like, you don't have to get the long campaign victory. Legend has a couple extra unlocked that are not technically playable by rewriting a text file, there's a vid somewhere that shows you how to do it if you want, but just remember not to skip the copying the original file bit, in case you screw it up - saves reinstalling.
The rewriting of the file is super easy you can't possibly fuck that up. You just cut from non - playable and paste under playable factions in the desc_str file. Just search a guide on youtube you can even play a papal campaign which I did once (not recommended though, really low amount of generals since you have no actual king and heir)
If the towers are not manned - represented by a flag over it - they do not shoot. This is why i surround a castle and attack wherever the walls are not manned.
This is what happens when you don't experiment with your tactics. Try something different from time to time and you'll learn these things about the game. Anyway glad I could assist.
That's why you go to there ASAP. When playing ruthlessly and with a bit of practice, you are usually done with most of the map when the Mongols appear, so better have the east finished finished in oder to prepare.Take the castles, put in chivalrous guys to make them grow quickly and then wait for them. When the Timurids appear, everything there is citadels with cannon towers, fully built up stables, barracks, armories etc., you have a few millions in the treasury and can recruit big armies very quickly and almost endlessly, so they don't stand a chance, even when losing half of the battles. I think in comparison to one's own development, the Timurids are easier than the Mongols.
1)U shouldnt sold ur map inform. 2)U shouldnt betrayed ur ally 3)U should take pope's power when u attacking any cristian country. U cannet be excomm... Bec of This reasons i didnt like ur strategy.
If that was a list of reasons, you would have explained why he should or shouldn't have done that. 1. The AI factions know your starting position at first anyway (and so do you when looking at the map shown when selecting a faction to play), so why not selling something that doesn't give them an advantage? 2. If an alliance ceases being useful, it' fine to break it. If you want to be honorable, then don't start any wars at all. Don't even attack rebels, they are probably happy without you enforcing your will on them. 3. The only use of the Pope is getting a crusade done, so your armies are travelling at full speed, getting a strong foothold in the east and the participants getting chivalry (which is good for growing settlements, but not as good as dread when fightling battles). When that's no longer needed, the penalty of excommunication is not as bad as your conquests being slowed down by his veto. His strategy is fine. The game is called Total War, so you are going to start wars (or worse, start them for what you choose to believe to be god's will, for some imaginary, useful and/or false reason while actually knowing it better) and war is about winning at any cost. If you think that's evil, well yes, but it's just a game and besides, it's the same with most of the other things you are supposed to do when playing it.

Hey is there any mod that will make the campaign actually difficult, I love the game but since i've become more experienced I find it less fun?
The Legend mod
Loved this campaign!
Have you already prerecorded all of these videos for Denmark yet?
Not yet. Havent even recorded episode 3 yet. Will probably do tomorrow
I get it, you got two more daughters coming in, i get it :3
Why tf when you besiege castles, the towers dont shoot at you? I have most of my casualties because of fking towers and walls
If the towers are not manned - represented by a flag over it - they do not shoot. This is why i surround a castle and attack wherever the walls are not manned.
Cool to know this after 10 years of grinding M2TW, thanks XD

Can you play any game as Portugal pls

Wonder if Poland’s gonna be a big empire like in Many a true nerds game, this’ll be fun to follow and compare
So if your using no cavalry you just use crossbowmen and infantry with 1 general. Isn't this just a milanese campaign?
Move your merchant up to stocholm over iron
klok kolk This is precorded most likely. He's said they are in the past.
Why you dont play mod for Rome total war , Roma surrectum 2 ?? great mod
Hi doggo!
Why focus so much on the east. The mongols and timurids are just going to land in your lap.

@@krischan67 ok.
Or maybe dont get allies at all, its fine to play without allies, unless there is a specific benefit from allies that i dont know
