I have this X5 pretty much loaded like the one tested. If the seats are perforated, it has ventilated seats. When using the heated seat control a menu pops up on the infotainment screen allowing the user to change from heated to cooled seats. At $86k I bet it has surround view also.
Best vehicle in BMW lineup is the X5. It is what the old 5 series used to be. An executive class vehicle with a six cylinder base engine. Love it. Classy.
Great Review! Totally agree with the Option of the Ventilated Seats. Disagree with the crystal door latch, as that will be the most used/touched object on the X5.
It seems to be that you haven’t found the wow factor. It’ s in the technology, like 24 kWh batterij with a range of 50 Miles and combined with the inline 6 a range of 600 Miles
Maybe I missed it, but you didn’t talk at all about your experience with the fuel economy with the electric battery or explain the different driving modes and your experience with them
I see it as hit and miss. Home run with the laser headlights, pano roof, plush carpets, quiet NVH and glass shifter [wish Mercedes did that!]. Huge miss with no ventilated seats or rearview cam mirror. People care much more about ventilated seats than BMW's proprietary laser headlights which while exceptional, drivers would be satisfied with less expensive high powered adaptive Bi-Xenons [or LEDs], if it meant including ventilated seats. Definitely agree with her on the scroll wheel glare.
Just test drove it yesterday. But honestly as good as it is, it's missing some things that should be standard for the price. Honestly this should be a fully electric vehicle. Come on BWW, why make a 2022 vehicle of one of your top sellers an it not be electric.
What! No WoW factor! Hmm,...find a better SAV/SUV than the X5! Exactly! There your "WoW Factor",.... Also,...you're digging it for options not found on the particular X5 you're reviewing,...so, perhaps you two should say,...."this X5 doesn't has a particular option,...but it's available".
For all the complaining about the ventilated seats, you should at least acknowledge it’s an available option (part of the luxury seating package). I agree it should be standard, but this review makes it sound like it’s not even available.
Wrong, they simply expressed that at that price point it should include ventilated seats (which obviously assumes that it is an option) and how much of a difference that makes which I agree with.

The wiper has to be lower because it were higher, it would impede your vision, but, it does stick out like an infected wound right there. lol

takes over 24 hours to charge with the charger the car came with. it goes for 31 miles with that ,not so impressive

The luxury package adds ventilated, massage, and multi-contour seats. Looks like the test vehicle didn't have this package.
