Single-player campaign is replaced by bot matches on the multiplayer maps (kind of like BF2). That will allow players to mess around as much as they want outside of player matches.
That's what the bot mode is going to be for really, far better than a test range imo.
Or maybe the "attachment quick swap slots" are customizable, we can filter out the irrelevant ones but the catch is we only get 4 categories which has 2 slots each?
I think it'd be a good system if true, so the menu won't get too crazy when you eventually have, say, 8 categories and 16 attachments each.

Ok, this could be cool, what if the load out system was like battlefield 4 but you favorite two attachments for each slot, then you can swap them out on the fly in-game (like we see in the elevator)
That is actually what i was thinking. No way can we fit the whole attachments there on screen. Best limit is 3 sights though like a sweet spot

I think the wingsuit is Sundances passive that replaces the standard parachute since the icon doesnt seem to light up unlike Mackays grapple hook where the icon lights up as he uses it, so we might still need to wait and see what sundances main gadget is.
Wingsuit is a passive. Active is either some sort of deployable shield or a deployable trap.
Maybe their ability is a respawn beacon. That’s why it only has 2 in the ability slot

With how much dice is emphasizing on the scale of bf 2042. I think they need to add proxi voip, it will make interacting with each other so much easier and a quick muting option can be implemented by just looking at a teammate that is spamming or mute from scoreboard tab.
We need it for consoles as well cause I take the innitive to invite ppl to party chat but they get shy and don’t join smh 😬
The specialists are really the only thing stopping me from preordering, most of us battlefield fans prefer playing as anonymous soldiers.
tbh i can make do with the bf1 types of specials like sentries and stuff, but god i hope they dont have ability type things

I never see a reason to pre order a game unless there is some sort of collectors edition that you can only get in launch, and still it needs to be from a game that I REALLY love, idk if I'm the only one but I'm still 50/50 on this BF, I'm excited from what I saw but then you have specialists that completely ruined the hype I was building, so I was hoping that we would see more in the gameplay reveal but unfortunately we didn't, either way I will probably wait a week maybe more after the game releases

I wouldnt preorder any game... But I have to agree with you on the specialists system, I have a heavy suspicion that this game is going to be a massive let down partly because it for sure will be nothing like BF4, which is why I hate they are using memories for BF3/4 to market this game as if it will be like BF3/4. And partly because I think people severely under estimate the role the 4 class system played in BF3/4 being fun to play.

@@berkaysahin9919 you get your specialist's superpowers. No gadgets, and you can have any weapon on any specialist. A "support" can have a sniper. They've eroded everything the battlefield classes were.

I just want to see the game. Gunplay is always good with modern battlefield titles.
Really hope the grappling and gliding chute is limited. Having these overused with little to no cool down will feel like playing one of those FPS games where you can run on walls and double jump.

I have two fears about 2042, one is the natural disasters getting repetitive, annoying and the instant gun attachment change, i don't like to see that you can just swap scopes, barrels, grips and magazines out of nowhere instantly.
Edit: Actually, make it three after seeing the grappling hook thing, that shit seems too good, this isn't Attack On Titan lmao.
Between this and Halo, it’s a good year to be an FPS fan.

wingsuit could probably be the passive ability, and that specialist will have their own different primary gadget

@@schlobster3929 I think thats what he meant aswell, but specialists always have two abilities, an active ( turret, drone, healdart and grappling hook) and a passive (better turret when near, proximity spotting, better revives and faster movement) one. For sundance, the wingsuit is 90% gonna be the passive ability and IMO it would be fitting to have a spawn beacon which spawns you in the air above it as the active ability.

Passive abilities are the ones that are either always active or don't require a special button to activate (are automatic).

@@sujimayne I prefer the titanfall 2 grappling hook, it just feels better and gives you more of a sense of control. I do think that kind of hook would be out of place in 2042 though
I'm hoping that there is some sort of system where you can "Equip" specific attachments to the slots in the HOT swap system and those are the only ones you can pick from when you hot swap

Just 4 gun customization slots is almost lackluster in my opinion. I really don't want to be that guy but MW allows for way more freedom. I mean I can't even equip a grip and laser at the same time although I could in BF4.

At 9:33 when Floppy_Ragdoll goes down it shows a skull in the Team List on the bottom left and also shows a Revive Logo with a circular countdown timer around it.
At about 0:07 if you look just to the right of the player's gun, on the ground, you can see a tank rolling next to a different vehicle with tracks that looks A LOT like one of the vehicles we've seen in the reveal trailer chasing hovercrafts around one of the ice maps. Makes me wonder if vehicles will be restricted to certain maps or if anything can be brought to any battlefield.

At 9:46 you can see a revive icon on Floppy, so either Sundance has defibs as his primary or defibs have become a secondary gadget

The specialist "Sundance" is the one that could pull out the wingsuit unlike the others who will deploy a parachute. You can see this when he jumps off the skyscraper and he opens up his arms to have his wingsuit work.
At 10:18 I think that helicopter with multiple guns shooting different directions is gonna be the russian faction equivalent of the MV38 Condor with 6 seats for 3 gunners and 2 passengers

I think with the attachment system.. You can have 4 attachments. Like in the above video a scope, mag, gripe and a muzzle. Then from them attachment slots you can pick 2 to "bring into battle". It means there is still choices to make when picking a load out and this will give some sort of balance.
Sundance is probably a reference to "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", outlaws who were known for their explosives (blowing up a train). To me, it looks like the gadget is a thermite breaching pack.
Anyone else still just want the classic classes with more gadgets?
What I noticed is that the tanks could possibly have a coaxial minigun as a secondary weapon.

1. Riot shields could give your team a better angle to lob on grenades, which can give them an opening to push through.
2. I'm 99% sure Sundance is the wingsuit specialist.

two things
1. pretty sure the attachments in the elevator are limited - like you can select them before deploying, and you only get those two slots for each mod. Otherwise, it just wouldnt make a whole lot of sense and the UI would be... yeesh.
2. Pretty sure sundance's ability is the wingsuit, but you only have two of them before you have to start using your parachute.
Maybe grappling hook is distance based? The longer you swing the longer the recharge is?
Seeing a possible return of you and LVL in a heli makes me happy. I loved the Double Vision series for that.

When he does that the gadget doesn’t light up or lose a charge like it was being used. It could be the wing suit and the UI just wasn’t polished fully or it could be something else entirely

My take on the attachment system is that you can maybe only take a certain amount of attachments with you. Maybe "mark" them in the menu and then you can always switch between them on the fly.
Only thing I'm concerned about is how the specialists are characters. There are gonna be a million Jimmy's and Kyle's running around and dying instead of just generic soldiers.
Would be cool if it worked as having a class and then a role. For example, an Assault soldier with a CQB role, the class being the weapons and gadgets and the role being the special gadget.
Another example being a Sniper class with a Recon role or a Mobility role where the Recon role could give you more spotting gadgets like drones and radars and the Mobility role would give you the wing suit.

Haven’t watched you since BF4 unfortunately, as much as I have a lot of reservations about this game, these trailers brought me back to the OG channels
Combo the shield with something like a trophy gadget or anti grenade/utility specialist. Good strat for indoor fighting.

I got a complaint about vehicle munitions, it should be a determined set like BFV, that way we don't get those dudes that are completely away from targets just picking off people without having to move since they have infinite ammo. Also, Sundance is the Wingsuit Specialist.
One detail i saw is the map in the left lower corner. You can see the "Objective Zones" they mentioned. The maps are so big that they need more objectives in total but to make it easy there are Objectives in this Zones you need to cap and the team with the most caps in one Zone gets this Zone. In this Gameplay Trailer you can see this Zones and their borders. In the section the VTOL flys from the Stadium to the mid of the Desert (the section between the City and the Stadium) is the end after a few seconds fly time. I took the VTOL 5-7 Seconds (idk the exact time) ... A flying object needs 5 Seconds??? Thats a lot of time for something in the air with lots of speed! So the map is RLY FREAKIN BIG ... And there are 5 Zones? Myb the same size or even bigger? Oh boy... Thats one big boy map!
The grappling hook is also a unique gadget to an operator

Weird to say but I prefer the BF5 Tank Ammo System. I love that you are forced to prioritise targets and also your repairs arent so simple so it makes you play more tactically.

This is what we need, so many games try to be “realistic” which to a certain extent is good, but this is BATTLEFIELD! Wanna jump out of a jet and shoot another with a rocket launcher YOU CAN! By giving the battlefield community the “sandbox” feeling, you unleash creativity and true fun!

Also, that giant helicopter at 10:00 may just be the Russian equivalent of the Osprey/Condor, some sort of heavy duty gunship
When Sundance’s squadMate died he had the revive icon hovering over him, maybe Sundance is sort of the pseudo medic and can revive dead squad mates and that’s the amount of charges it gives you so you can’t constantly be reviving squad mates
SUNDANCE seems to be the one with the wing suit.

Looks good. I just don't understand the attachment on the fly feature. Seems to remove strategy when creating load-outs and doesn't make any sense in terms of realism. Grappling hook seems suspect too.

The two other helicopters we saw were the Ka-52 (the twin rotor) and what looks like a modernized Mi-24 Hind (the dual gunner).
The Hind is a mashup with a CH53.
