As a 60 year old it is so refreshing to see someone young with so much talent having so much fun doing something she clearly loves I hope you have a wonderful life . The world is a better place with young people
I’m the same age as you…and in fact the very first time I ever heard this song was on my 18th birthday in the summer of 1979.
I just went 60! Love the song she is good!
The world is a better place with happy people, regardless of their numerical age.
I got you guys beat. I'm 69, fortunate to be gigging some and practicing every day.
I'm in a cover band now that wants to do "My Sharona". Of course, I heard it but never played it.
Just saw Sina play it. Wow, I want to be as good as her when I grow up. SHE NAILS IT!
Great sounding beat with the toms, and she doesn't overdo the accents. Terrific drumming.
And thanks Sina, you gave me a master lesson in how to play, "My Sharona"
סששז2£ש,,,,,,,,,
Im 58 and you have just sparked my fire to learn the drums and show what my 11 year old grandson what his granny can do. Loo,ing into i. THANKS HEAPS YOU ARE GREAT KEEP IT UP!😁t
Check her out playing polk salad annie
ua-cam.com/video/ko3m0NBbq1o/v-deo.html first time i heard my mom play was fucking amazing
i had no idea
I'm 57 and my very first kit shows up tomorrow. Oddly enough the layout is exactly like hers with the stand mounted toms.I just noticed that watching this video. To Sina goes a huge thank you!!! Every time I watch the hair on my arms stands up and my face leaks a little. The power and precision and the dedication to get there is commendable. Show that grandson what you can do!
Drumming and music has no age limits. Go for it!!!
why not? you're never to old to learn something new. go for it.
My most favorite-est Sina drum cover of them all. Perfectly executed with plenty of personal style infusion.
I love the way Sina selects songs that were played well before her time. Hows she’s able to cross back and reach her parents generation is truly amazing.
Possibly before her parents time.
Sina is smiling at the beginning because she knows she's going to ace it. She's smiling at the end because she knows she aced it. Sina, you're the best. I enjoyed this very much.
Thanks Don!!
'Aced it' is an understatement
I've watched a few of her videos and I noticed her smile. She is just having a blast and I'm enjoying watching her tear it up.
Doubt she would upload a video which was awful.
Missed one fill. So not a bad job at all.
My hope in humanity, so many times vanished away by seeing young people happily going into stupidity, is reborn every time I see a young kid like Sina showing there’s still hope. Talent and hard work pay off, look at the smile on her face! Kids she is an example go and create your dreams are achievable if you believe in yourself and what you can do. Thank you Sina you are an artist, born to drum!!
FANTASTIC! You have a very natural talent. As a former drum player, I can see that you have a natural flow and rhythm for the music. How many people your age have even HEARD of these songs, much less ROCK them, like you do?! I've enjoyed every one of your covers!! Keep it up...
This girl has a gift. These songs she picks are the great ones from the 70s 80s when they were driven by hard drums and guitar riffs . Awesome job from the States 👍
Was a huge hit before the 80s started
Yes I said 70s 80s
the greatest compliment I can pay sina is she could replace ANY drummer in any band. her timing is flawless.!!!.
I love everything she plays.
I just can't get over how talented this young lady is, very very good!
I can't either. And how prolific!
Ywa

I love everything she plays.
I just can't get over how talented this young lady is, very very good!
Wow, this takes me back to the summer of '79, when I bought "Get the Knack" on vinyl. You certainly have a knack for drumming, Sina!
Me too. When I first heard it, I couldn't make out the lyrics exactly and thought it either had something to do with mice, or the San Franciso treat, Rice a Roni.
That is no knack, that is genius!
Doug Fieger's brother is a successful ambulance chaser here in Metro Detroit.
Outstanding! This is not an easy drum track. It took courage to play this. To be able to pull this one off takes real ability and you have girl!
Bruce Gary is smiling down...
Stephen Lawson ...and Doug Fieger as well.
How many noticed Sina's new look? New drum set, new jeans, new top, hair back, big smile....I am happy that she kept her trademark "red shoes" and necklace! Seriously though Sina, I look for a smile in every video you do and I was rewarded today a the 4:28 mark when you were concentrating so hard and you evidently played up to you own expectations. It was a little smile that said "whew got that this time" I think. Luv U (The Whoo)
Thank you :)
@@sina-drums Ha - we ALL know the talent is there - we're now all just waiting for the special smile! It's all part of the deep enjoyment code.
It's evident you're paying as much attention to the sound and engineering of your videos as the incredible work that's going into the drumming itself. May God continue to bless you - you're spreading a lot of love around the world doing this, it's a major breath of sweet air on this troubled planet.
Summer of ‘79 about to go into 8th grade. This song was a monster hit that summer. One of the best pop rock songs ever recorded. A few years later in college when this came on in the bars the kids would lose their minds. Fantastic cover as usual. I’m a sucker for that subdivision late in the song where he goes form 16ths to triplets. You nailed this song and loved some the extra ghost notes on some of the fills.
I was 10 and I recorded it on my portable Radio Shack off of Kasey Kasem's top countdown
I put on my headphones, closed my eyes and listened to the whole song. 99.9% close to my LP recording. Watching the video is a bonus.Enjoyed it very much. Thank you Sina.
Some experiences make life worth living. Listening to Sina is one of them.
100% agree!! Made my day.
I love the talent, after playing for over 30 years, I'm in a band with a former worldwide touring singer, I've learned a lot over the years, but I love watching you play and appreciate your amazing talent.... you have great chops, timing and fluidity. You and I play the same cymbals, although I have a few ziljians that I have to have for shows. My true love is drums, although I play bass, keys, and guitar, I have to say that you rock ! you're amazing, don't ever stop playing !!!!!
These girls are FANTASTIC, and they play every song from my time, late 60's 70's and 80's Watching Sina, play the drums, gives me goose-bumps, she is sooooo talented. And Jadyn Rylee, I don't know how old she, I guessing real young, She has such a beautiful voice. I been seating here listening to these girls, and loving every minute. It does choke me up, hearing all the music I listen too, back in the days, and watching this young people showing an interest, in the music I grew up too.
Thank you sweetheart for the exciting, wonderful and welcomed flash back!!As usual you were the complete boss of this cover and really did it justice!!! GREAT JOB SINA!!!
These are songs of my youth in the skating rink with my then girlfriend and hearing this jam. Not only nostalgic but watching Sina play it to perfection is twice as nice.
Sina, I was 16 when this song came out and you definitely took me back. You so totally rock! I mean, you sound EXACTLY like the record!!! It's really nice to see young people enjoying and playing the music of my generation. We truly had some great music back in those days. Thanks for making me feel young again. I've heard your many other drum covers as well. You're so damn talented I expect that pretty soon, you'll get snatched up in a recording contract somewhere and won't be playing UA-cam anymore....and I wish you all the success in the world :) YOU DESERVE IT!!! Best Wishes.
Incredibly good and she dares with songs that are very difficult for a drummer, not only is she accompanying the rhythm, she gives it life, it continues like this, with the years you are improving, like good wine.
I'll be 63 this August, and after watching her drumming videos I have challenged myself to have fun, the church pastor is letting me play there drums, having much fun , thanks sila, keep doing what your doing, never quit, you have a lot of talent, thank you and God bless, clint!
Great to see a spotlight on drums on a song that never really involves a real drum solo, just lots of cool fills and guitar service. Well done!
Yesssss!!!!! This little gal nailed it! I am impressed. Takes me back to the club days when this song was released. Keep up the great work!
I have been a fan of Sina for a while now, and I appreciate Sina for her amazing talent. On many videos I can actually see her facial expressions during her drumming. and they are super exhilarating ..... the videos where her hair is all over her face absolutely doesn't take away from her talent, but for me, when I can't see the thrill, the love, the excitement on a musician's face, it takes away from my experience of connection with her playing.
How does she make it look so easy, Sina was born with drum sticks in her hands
The more I listen to her play, I appreciate more the inventive, original drum arrangements because now the entire performance is mixed with extreme care and right up front and you can hear all the details of what was played by the original drummers. Thanks~!
Ppppp0pukkiiup
ich bin ende 50 und dieses drum cover hat mich an meine alten zeiten erinnert als ich dieses stück gehört habe und du hast mich in diese zeit zurückgeholt. hammer cover sina. many thx
how many 18/19 year old kids know this song... ONE!!!! you, young lady, are aMAzing!!!! ive been watching your vids for the last 4 hours, nonstop, since i first "discovered" you. it is SO refreshing to see a kid your age with something in their hand other than a cell phone or video game controller. you have a FABulous gift and supreme talent. your future is as bright as the sun. it would not surprise me at all, if one day, my grandchildren watched you receive a musical lifetime achievement award. you are BRILLIANT. my best to you. (and keep banging out the RUSH)
Man I'm 18 and I know it, I don't think it's very niche
that one peperoni commercial that used to play a while back. I knew it before that though
You have been blowing my mind for a few years now and I just love watching you because your doing something I wanted to do when I was young. It makes me very happy to see you smashing those drums and enjoying it so much, thank you for all that you give to me and everyone that watches.
Great job on a very difficult song! I was a drummer in a rock band back in the 90's and we tried to get this song down, but I just couldn't do it. So many changes, off beats and quick rolls that were just beyond my ability. You make it look so easy!
Any time I have a song to learn, I check to see if Sina has done the cover. This is the best way to see and hear the song done right. Thank you Sina!
Nailed it. This is one of my favorite songs from when I was a kid and I still jam out to it no matter where I am when it comes on. Fantastic job. You are awesome
Watching Sina play the drums is like watching the drummer at concert you were not able to see when the band was playing live. Just spot on!
You’re literally my favorite drummer to watch cause I’m 15 and I play a lot of instruments too and it’s nice to see that someone has the same taste in music as me
I’ve watched this video like 30 times. Never get tired of watching it!
She is awesome
Even playing other people's songs, Sina always makes the drums the most interesting part. Awesome!
Good golly Ms. Molly, you did that to PERFECTION! You sent chills right down my spine, and that is not easy to do. WOW!
I have always told others that they want to be a drummer in a band, if you can lick this song, you are DESTINED to become a great drummer.
And no, it's not about how many toms or cymbals you have, it's what you make of it.
What an EXCELLENT JOB.
My props to you my love!
That people, is how drumming is done!! You know I love you Lady Sina! 😍😇
I love the smile at the beginning and her sheepish smile at the end. So much energy and force but makes it look so easy. Thank you. A bright future is in store for you. Well done mom and dad!
I suggested she try covering this song, a while back thinking it just might be too challenging. She killed it. It's one of my favorite songs because of the drums. I play air-drums to it, and I get winded half-way through. LOL. Great job.
This one looked like it takes some stamina. I was wondering how she made it look so effortless.
YES!!! Great job, Sina!! This is a very riff based song that is totally driven forward by the aggressive drumming. I used to play this tune years ago in a cover band. After watching you play this I've decided to get the band back together..LOL!! Thank you for the inspiration!! BRAVO!!!
I know you probably won't read this but you are the best drummer girl I have ever seen on the internet or in concert you shoot for the stars and beyond... Billy Meeks in California...
Being a musician myself I listen to a lot of cover bands, particularly a lot of drum covers. Most drummers that do covers are very, very good, but they miss one very important aspect. Their sound just isn't true to the original song, i.e., the snare drum is to "loose", the hi-hat is "tinny", or the bass drum is off. Your renditions, however, are spot on. Even before you changed mics you had a quality sound no other can match. Thanks for paying attention to detail and for another great cover of a great classic. -->Ric
It's worth remembering that interpretation is also important so being true to an original is all very well but the personality of the musician is of equal importance and should be allowed to shine through. Being a stickler for "true to" isn't necessarily a good thing if it hinders creativity.
but isnt it supposed to just cover a song but they should have their own sound, not initiating the band itself
100 per cent
I like it when they nail the original sound like she did....top notch. I don't like to hear someone else's "take" on the original. No one likes a kit car....the original or nothing at all
Perfectly said...
Chanson préférée de mon adolescence,
Je ne pensais vraiment pas la voir interprété par Sina 40 après.
Merci pour ce cadeau Sina, vous êtes vraiment merveilleuse.
I think all your videos are awesome! I have a 3 1/2 year old granddaughter who's been playing the baby keyboards and electric drum pads since she was 6 months old. She plays while watching 80's rock and all your videos. I hope one day she'll play just like you. Thanks so much for posting your videos and all the work you put into it!
You make the world a better place by sharing your TALENT Sina .....THANK YOU...started my Sunday with this
BEST to you ❤
I often comment how great this young woman is but this is a very difficult rhythm to deal with and she is RIGHT ON, and I am so impressed with this woman. She is incredible as a drummer and plays so well it is incredible!! Ray C. Florida
This is what the music video for this track should have looked like!! Classic song! Cracking drummer! Woop woop!
I was in high school when this came out back in 1979... the song jammed... great drums, great guitar and lead guitar... song of the year in 1979... the Knack kind of fizzled out quickly but this song will always be remembered...
Sina, wow I think you enjoyed playing that as much as I enjoyed listening to it. If ever there was a song made for a drummer this is it this song would be nothing without the drums. You absolutely nailed this one and you couldn’t help giving us that beautiful smile at the beginning and again at the end loved it .
Well put Fred
Same her a Fred and Frank.
She's getting better and better!
Keep rocking yoig lady
Yep truly amazing, what talent. You rock girl
Im out of my mind listening to this young lady in a good way,she is better than i ever was😂😂
Poetry in motion. Unbelievably great. Wow. Stunned at the perfection. All of the above. Thank you.
I love, love, LOVE My Sharona!!! One of my all-time favorite songs & guitar solos. The rhythm laid down on this song is awesome & once again, you knocked it out of the park!!!! BRAVO!!!! 🤘
The solo in "My Sharona" is one of my favorite all-time solos, too; Berton Averre is an underrated guitarist. I measure the quality of a full band cover by how well the guitarist pulls off the solo (if the band even includes it). You should check out the cover by REO Brothers from the Philippines. It is amazing!
The drum part is almost as iconic as the song itself (you immediately know the song the instant the drums start). I once saw a video of an interview with Bruce Gary (original drummer for The Knack) where he explained how he came up with the part. It may still be on UA-cam.
@@Prof_Jeff Thanks. I'm going to check that out.
@@Prof_Jeff just watched the REO Brothers version and it gave me goosebumps. Thanks for the heads up.
@@njmattyp You're welcome! Consider it my New Year's gift. 😉 One good thing that has come from the pandemic is finding some very good musical acts on UA-cam, REO Brothers being one (whose forte is the Beatles and other late '60s and early '70s artists).
Touche! You are the Boss! Sina Rules! Please come to Boston (MA, US) to perform. I'll be first in line to buy tickets! You are brilliant!
Thanks for covering the full version with the great guitar solo. You rock!!!!
I never get tired of watching you perform! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Thank you very much for sharing!
THIS GIRL IS PERFECT IN ALL SHE PLAYS !!!
REALLY A GREAT DRUMMER DOES NOT MISS A BEAT !!! WOW !!!
A great song and an excellent drum kit. It is always a pleasure to see you pouring energy through the drums, strong and direct. Seeing you smile at the beginning of the video is invigorating and shows how much you enjoy your work, which is a pleasure for me. Congratulations and have an excellent weekend.
You go girl! Great drum cover- I love your enthusiasm!🎉 Beautifullady
Anybody gives this awesome young lady a thumbs down should go play in traffic at rush hour on a super highway,,,,,,you are totaly awesomeSINA
Even when I was a kid, this has always been one of my favourite drum performances, and she played it so well
Awesomw Sina! Didn't realise how much they don't use the hi-hat in this song... one of the catchiest ever! You killed it, well done!
This song was in my generation long time ago. I enjoyed watching Sina performed it. Awesome Sina!!!
My Dad and I dance to this tune when I was a kid! We have a record of this song, love it!
Tick tock, tick tock, so goes the clock, I just wanna see miss Sina rock! Her drumming is sharp and sinewy as always. I like especially her hits, breaks and rolls from 4:00 onwards. Magic! Oh my, how she breathes new life into this Knack’s sparkling classic. This tune reminds me greatly of Elvis Costello’s banger Pump it up, which has haunted me for years!! (Soo cool, and Elvis’s foot choreography in it, too.) You should do that some day, Sina! (Sorry for pushing! 😉) Anyways, thanks for My Sharona. Cheers!
I've "hit the wall" many times but you keep me going, THANKS EVER SO MUCH, SINA !!!! I don't know if you know how far your work effects people but i'm in Canada and you are my inspiration, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!
She is a total natural! Absolutely spot on!
Well well That made my day my favorite song I ever wanted to play I just watched a young lady hit that perfect FIVE STARS SINA
This Girls is a genius
My God Girl, you are one of the best I have every seen. And your age is amazing. Your parents should be very proud. I am 67, and I saw the Blues Magoos, Amboy Dukes, Iggy Pop, Jethro Tull, The Who, David Bowie, Bob Seeger, Linda Ronstadt, J Giles Band, Led Zeppelin, and some I have forgot about. We saw so many bar bands, You have tremendous abilities, I love your fun ...
Also, Alan Parsons Project, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Joe Walsh, Yes, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, and one of the most entertaining was Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Neil Young, one of my favorite lyricist of all time. Watching you takes me back to a time when music was a way to escape the junk happening during that time.

Grade im Radio gehört, und dachte: wenn das mal nichts für Sina wäre? Haste ja schon lange bearbeitet. Danke! ;)
I love watching Sina's spirit and passion and talent. Wonderful!
Not only is this a very good tune, Sina, you aced it!!! It's one of my favorite tunes of all time, you made it seem new!!!!!
OMG!!! you seem to be having so much fun with this one:)! That is exactly how everyone felt when it first came out:)!
This one made me smile real big! Thank you for playing a song that reminds me of my teenage years. You’re pretty awesome young lady. 😁😊😉
OMG. Those new drums sound fantastic. Of course, only Sina could bring out the best in them. Amazing video!!!
Sina could play a bunch a walnuts and they would just sound incredible great
@@naich3774 "bunch of walnuts", hilarious and true. lol
I got home from a long hot day at work, I've been watching your videos that have put a smile on my face. You are a talent.
This song is about bass guitar and drums. You nailed it!!
I drive a motorcycle having to use both hands and feet individually but she takes coordination to another level. You are da bomb!
Hurray. Luv the Sharona. Nailed it. You’re the best.
this beautiful girl, who plays the drums well, and with a theme of the best of all time. Congratulations
Is it just me, or are you playing all those great TOMS much more lately? We can see you really enjoying your new kit so much; you look like you are having more fun than ever on these covers lately! So cool! and Great choices on the covers! Sina, even after four+ years, I am enjoying watching you now more than ever....
scott-
It's not just you. I was thinking the very same thing.
Is it me, or does that bass look huge?
It's just you Scotty :) I kinda try doing what the song demands but I will try to keep away from those cymbals whenever possible!!
Scott, It shows she is enjoying her new kit!
Well, I survived this past hurricane, not sure how much more I can take.
I'm now in V.A going Mt biking this should clear my brain of anxiety. Oh, you are just now enjoying watching her more than ever, lol.
Have a great weekend Scott and don't say break a leg, ha ha. Later.
Joe; "That's what SHE said!"
Dave; I know!! You are a hurricane magnet!! Did a tornado scoop you up while mountain biking? Yeah, I really am enjoying her more now than ever....she has matured so much; sometimes I worry maybe too fast for 19; but she just continues to amaze me; (Nobody has anxiety here anymore 'cause pot is legal... ;-))
Brought a smile to me, seeing the joy from her.
Takes me back to when my kids were small and having a blast.
One of the best things in life.
Keep rocking young lady.
All the best in whatever your life brings.
I've lost count how many times I've watched this video, there's something about how Sina shakes her head to the groove I love sooooo much but it's so hard to explain
She does seem to be having more fun that usual
I have been smiling through this whole performance. Great drums on this song.
How am I just seeing this? I really hope to God this young lady became a super star, because WOW, what a talent!
I never get tired of watching your videos you definitely have the heart and soul of a drummer i hope you get everything you want in life you deserve it
I am no drummer but even I know you nailed the pause !!!! Superb well done
You are an inspiration to young people today, it seems like there's not as much instrumental use in music today. To hear someone playing the drums as well as you is wonderful. PS. You are Fantastic 👌
Nothing to say about the drumming, it was perfect as usual. The new drum microphones sound great as does the new drum kit. Love your work.
Sina is amazing and musical intertainment second to none.
Watching this 4 years later, man you where already ahead of the game! You rock hard woman!
Where would this song ever have been or where would it be today without a great drummer?
Mike
Sina, I Absolutely Love your drum playing. I was born in 1961, and you Play a lot of songs from my Era. You are so Very Awesome Girl, and don't let No One tell you Any Different. You make me Very Happy Girl. Please Keep It Up !,,,,
the most talented and focused musician , drummer that i know of .
I love 💕 this song it's as old as I am and Sina has brought it back to life. Memories 💯 💐💐
Great job! I've always thought the drums stood out to me in this song as the most fun part. A favorite from my youth . Keep rocking.
