Eobard has so many time remnants that it’s unreal. He travels so much in time that he has probably 100s on 100s of time remnants so that’s probably the likely reason it was him

Well in the main comic continuity Thawne once killed and alternate future Barry saying that even if it wasn't his Barry it felt good to finally be able to kill him in one way or another. So I'm sure CW Thawne felt the exact same way and killed Earth-X Barry just because it'd feel good to be able to kill a Barry Allen.

Thawne, in my mind, would've wanted Barry to stay as a hero, because he was supposed to be the opposite of the Flash, truly evil, and I would think Earth-X Barry would probably be evil, as some would-be villains are good and vice-versa for some heroes. Therefore, Allen was probably killed because in Thawne's mind, he wasn't HIS Barry, and Barry is supposed to be a HERO. It's kinda like Joker when he heard about the Batman Who Laughs, he thought a Batman that acted like The Joker was distasteful.
The creators of the cw flash could make a really good series regarding reverse flash(Tom Cavanagh's version) time after Barry spared him at the end of earth x cross over. If done right then that would be redemption of what they did from flash season 3-5.

My theory is Barry or Iris said that in all the different earths they've been too, they are always together. So maybe earth x flash had a secret relationship with earth x Iris and over girl and Dark arrow find out somehow maybe through reverse flash or another way. Thawne being alive makes perfect sense if you think about it. During WW1 Thawne left the Legion to go and look for the instructions on how to use the spear of destiny, the Thawne that shows up and gets erased by the Black Flash is from the Doomworld future along with his army of time remnants. The version of Eobard that was absent from the fight and would have gone on to become the Doomworld Reverse Flash if it wasn't for the Legends interfering is the one that got away and ended up on earth X

The Eobard thing is something that's carried from the comics. His fuckery with the time line basically made him a living paradox (which is why I would want a thing dealing with.....oh wait....we already had a crisis in time)
Legends does explains later on (with a bit of an aside explanation in Flash) that Eobard never fully gets erased because he is preserved by the Speed Force in order for certain events to occur and so the whole timeline doesn't collapses on itself by a cascade of events being undone. Eobard has had his hands on too many cookie jars basically so his existence has become vital for many events. If he tries to veer off his intended sequence of events that lead to Eddie Thawne's death, then he gets a repeat of Legends S2 where the Black Flash eliminates him. To put it very simple. If Eobard NEVER existed, Flash never existed, because the timeline of Earth One has become a closed loop where Eobard and Flash are neccesary requirements of each other's creation.
You would know that it is set before that crossover because the Earth-X “The Ray” went to earth 1 and died when he got there. He then transferred his powers into his Earth 1 body. In the crossover event, the ray that was on Earth-X at that time said he was originally from Earth 1.
It also feels like Overgirl and Dark Arrow aren't together in Freedom Fighters. Instead it feels like she's the top in command while Earth-X Arrow and Flash are her underlings. Probably another thing they decided to change for the crossover when they used Eobard instead of Barry.
If I remember at the end of season 2 Barry decided to go back in time to save his mom leading to thon still being alive but also not killing thon, and at the end of season 3 episode 1 Barry goes back to stop himself from saving his mom but didn’t kill thon leaving him to be alive. It’s been a while since I watched the two episodes so if I’m wrong some please correct me.

To get to Kara, she either had to be on Earth-1 or they had to breach to Earth-1 and then Earth-38. Pretty sure no one would willingly give them a ride to Earth-38.

Most sense I can make is that maybe the Freedom Fighters The Ray series takes place before Barry went back in time and created flashpoint(Before The Flash season 2 finale) and when Barry tried to fix the original timeline albeit with some changes (The Flash season 3 onwards) he also made some changes to Earth-X such as Nazi Barry being either dead or not around, and making Cisco's first encounter with Earth-X never happen. Seems like the only way these two fit together, The Ray series being pre-flashpoint and the crossover post-flashpoint.
The Freedom Fighters series had Mathew Mercer as Black Arrow, and Scott Whyte as Blitzrieg (a speedster but not Flash) from Earth X. So even here there was no Barry
Didn't Barry's grandfather fight in the war. They said something like that when he talked about where he got Iris's ring. Maybe he died during it and his descendents were never born.
What's more confusing is where was Eobard after episode 1 of season 3? He helped Barry get back to his timeline after "fixing" Flashpoint (Killing Barry's mom again) and runs off leaving Barry on the porch and he is never seen or mentioned again until Crisis on Earth X.
eobard is still alive because he hasn't been completely erased. though Eddie killed himself and you see him get erased, earth 2 Harrison Wells explained it using time remnants. He still exists in the time frames before Eddie killed himself, that version of Eobard is still alive.
My own personal theory about Eobard is that the one we see in the Crisis on Earth X is actually the beginning of Eobard's story as reverse flash (And all the appearances after that are the "past" for the Season 1 Harrison Wells, but he knows a lot of the story of what happens to him. I suspect that Season 1 Harrison Wells is the end of Eobard's story as Reverse Flash which ends with him getting erased. When we see someone get erased, they're only erased from the present time of the paradox onward, and their past remains the same, which means that Eobard's past wasn't erased, but still happens. We see in the show that even when people like Savitar are erased, their past events stay intact where people can still interact with them (or else the plan in Season 5 to get a piece of Savitar's suit wouldn't have happened) and it's obvious that the events that happen around people erased from existence are not erased even though the person disappears from existence. That's why I think we are not seeing Eobard's current timeline, but his past in the later seasons. But that's just my theory. I'm usually wrong about these kinds of things.
If you pay close attention to when the speedforce takes a character due to time problems and when the blackflash does (ignore his still speedforce will make sense), when blackflash kills eobard he falls apart with red, but when he dies due to eddy dying he goes apart in blue this could indicate the speedforce i involved (EVERY depiction of someone entering the speedforce involves blue and or blue shifitng)
I have to wonder something.....everything going forward from season 3 was never suppose to happen. As far as we know the only thing we knew for sure about the future was that the Flash disappeared during a Crisis. Now, that could very much be a fixed point in time unable to be changed, however it doesn't mean that the Venetia leading up to it can't. So as far as we know anything that happens after season 3 of Flash is entirely Barry's fault. From Thinker, the earth X invasion, possibly some things on arrow, maybe the only thing that haven't changed are the Legends time line

Being able to move really, really fast doesn't mean a bad guy is *never* going to land a hit. Show would be pretty boring if Barry was unstoppable.

Most sense I can make is that maybe the Freedom Fighters The Ray series takes place before Barry went back in time and created flashpoint(Before The Flash season 2 finale) and when Barry tried to fix the original timeline albeit with some changes (The Flash season 3 onwards) he also made some changes to Earth-X such as Nazi Barry being either dead or not around, and making Cisco's first encounter with Earth-X never happen. Seems like the only way these two fit together, The Ray series being pre-flashpoint and the crossover post-flashpoint.

The Freedom Fighters series had Mathew Mercer as Black Arrow, and Scott Whyte as Blitzrieg (a speedster but not Flash) from Earth X. So even here there was no Barry
Didn't Barry's grandfather fight in the war. They said something like that when he talked about where he got Iris's ring. Maybe he died during it and his descendents were never born.
Younger Eobard is different than his future self, but I guess they are the same person even though he is from another timeline or pardox.
What's more confusing is where was Eobard after episode 1 of season 3? He helped Barry get back to his timeline after "fixing" Flashpoint (Killing Barry's mom again) and runs off leaving Barry on the porch and he is never seen or mentioned again until Crisis on Earth X.
eobard is still alive because he hasn't been completely erased. though Eddie killed himself and you see him get erased, earth 2 Harrison Wells explained it using time remnants. He still exists in the time frames before Eddie killed himself, that version of Eobard is still alive.
I think they didn’t do Earth X Barry Allen because they had done Savitar earlier in the year. Didn’t want to be repetitive maybe

My own personal theory about Eobard is that the one we see in the Crisis on Earth X is actually the beginning of Eobard's story as reverse flash (And all the appearances after that are the "past" for the Season 1 Harrison Wells, but he knows a lot of the story of what happens to him. I suspect that Season 1 Harrison Wells is the end of Eobard's story as Reverse Flash which ends with him getting erased. When we see someone get erased, they're only erased from the present time of the paradox onward, and their past remains the same, which means that Eobard's past wasn't erased, but still happens. We see in the show that even when people like Savitar are erased, their past events stay intact where people can still interact with them (or else the plan in Season 5 to get a piece of Savitar's suit wouldn't have happened) and it's obvious that the events that happen around people erased from existence are not erased even though the person disappears from existence. That's why I think we are not seeing Eobard's current timeline, but his past in the later seasons.
But that's just my theory. I'm usually wrong about these kinds of things.

If you pay close attention to when the speedforce takes a character due to time problems and when the blackflash does (ignore his still speedforce will make sense), when blackflash kills eobard he falls apart with red, but when he dies due to eddy dying he goes apart in blue this could indicate the speedforce i involved (EVERY depiction of someone entering the speedforce involves blue and or blue shifitng)

I have to wonder something.....everything going forward from season 3 was never suppose to happen. As far as we know the only thing we knew for sure about the future was that the Flash disappeared during a Crisis. Now, that could very much be a fixed point in time unable to be changed, however it doesn't mean that the Venetia leading up to it can't. So as far as we know anything that happens after season 3 of Flash is entirely Barry's fault. From Thinker, the earth X invasion, possibly some things on arrow, maybe the only thing that haven't changed are the Legends time line

Thawne's time is from the future, that's why,he keeps on coming in,but he already killed Nora, Barry's mom,even if he was erased from existence,when Eddie Thawne, killed himself,the mere fact,The Flash is already within both the present and future, because of his mother's killer,who comes from the future,that the past is the seed,and Barry's existence is the aligned timeline to all of the timelines.The Speedforce aligns the "supposedlies" to fill in for the gaps of those who changed eventualities,and only the Speedsters can get to change timelines...
