I live in Utah, and I was SHOCKED when I saw it as #1, because I've been wanting to move farther east.
Stay off the east coast. Upper Midwest is good tho.
@@Davido50 Oh yeah! I'm not going THAT Far East. I'm thinking maybe Minnesota. I wouldn't go farther than that I think.
@@jeremyfox4186 I lived in WI for about a decade and live in Colorado now, I hate it. I can’t handle the pollution and dry climate, which I assume is similar in Utah. I imagine Minnesota is similar to Wisconsin, in terms of climate and culture, if so, it’s great! Just be prepared to douse yourself with mosquito repellant in the summer lol, one thing I do not miss.
@@jeremyfox4186Minnesota is fun but cold. I’d still recommend it. I’ve lived here my whole life and the only big worries here are down town cities like St. Paul and Minneapolis, or the cold. I’m not saying downtown is bad here but crime is higher and it’s way more packed
Dude id get out of there utah is hell lived 5 years absolute shit
We just moved to Utah last year. Major issues here and I wouldn't recommend it. Housing is unaffordable and scarce (our grown kids can't afford a place, and even at over $100k a year we are forced to rent), wildfires are a huge issue as is drought (driest state in the country), driving is insane due to so many people on the roads and there's a really high rate of car accidents (and car insurance is outrageously expensive), and the air pollution is really bad. The Great Salt Lake is drying up and there are health warnings about arsenic in the air from the dry lake bed that will lead to increasing rates of cancer and chronic illnesses. As for the lack of water...no watering your lawn or garden, restrictions on household use, major loss of farms and agriculture (most food here is trucked in from other states or countries making it expensive), and concerns about blackouts and no electricity in the near future as hydroelectric power from dams disappears. I don't see us being here long term.
I just moved away from Utah in the past year home values have gone up by 100k. Crazy!
And it is far from being the happiest state because were anti-depressants are prescribed there than any other state.
@@scrapbookaholic This is a fact!
No to mention that Utah has the 2nd highest inflation in the United States! I’m so glad I moved to Oregon from Utah years ago! Got out while the getting was good and having lived there all my life I could see the writing on the walls! Well I could when I was 5, but couldn’t escape Utah until I was in my late 20’s.
About as bad as Colorado so many people moving pricing us natives out crime went up and fires every year making it very hard to breathe

And California in general.

It’s honestly shocking how much this list changed from last year! New Jersey caught me off guard lol. Seems like a lot of states are changing for the better or worse. Still wanna move to New Hampshire though! Seems like a beautiful environment with great job opportunities!

@@ashleylindsey6451 love it, Ashley! Can’t wait to see your state!
I’m from Texas and thinking about moving to Minnesota. The people are so nice and it has a lot of positives. Plus the cold ass winters keep the real estate cheap.
you should, but move in the spring so you don’t get a cold taste in your mouth.
Those are all solid facts. It's a great place and not too expensive. The weather is rough though and the state is turning into a one side political agenda that has gotten really extreme. Very weak judicial system on pedophiles and violent crimes in certain areas. If you do your homework I bet you will enjoy though! I would be back in a second if I could handle the climate.
Here in Omaha, NE. Our weather is halfway between Texan and Minnesotan, the goldilocks zone. Yet people thinking Nebraska is just a cornfield state keeps the superficial away. Our property values are cheaper than woke Minneapolis.
nice video!
Excellent video
With the news that the Salt Lake is drying up, exposing the arsenic-laden lake floor, which ends up blowing arsenic around the surrounding area, not sure if SLC is gonna keep that status for much longer
Record flooding this year will help with that.
I was hoping Minnesota would make the list and it did I live here and its a great place to live in outside of the twin cites the suburbs are the best
Same it is definitely a good place to live. Well just be ready for cold winters

I'm glad Utah made it to number one on this year's list. I grew up in Utah and I do miss the state. Even with that being said I could not imagine moving back with how expensive housing has gotten over there.
You must’ve not been forced to take pills, just to be happy like most people there. I’m on medical marijuana and my housing is half of what I’d pay to rent in Salt Lake City for a room in a house. Oh and I’m finally genuinely happy, mainly because I’m not forced to take pills anymore and I don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to rent a 1 bdr apt in a HUD apt..
I could not imagine living in a State whose solution for drought is pray for rain.

Haha thanks for always watching Darrius, hope you enjoyed!
Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people because an upsetting event occurs in their lives taking them by surprise, unexpectedly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death.
While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes.
Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way.
It’s not a “flu”, it’s not something you “catch”. It’s biological, meaningful, and unavoidable. One hundred years later, a Fear Campaign begins, using the media to spread it......
Same bro!!!

Great video!
Hay, it's great to see you back on UA-cam! Love your videos! Can you do one about best places in Washington...preferably the Western half? I want to move back, and am considering Vancouver, Sequim or someplace between Everett and Bellingham...thank you!
If you want to avoid the Seattle are I would recommend Vancouver or Bellingham. Neither are cheap but both have good quality of life. Vancouver is growing quickly and more is being added to their Downtown and Waterfront area. Alot of safe and quaint suburbs. The real benefit is you are 15-20 minutes from Portland International Airport almost anywhere in Vancouver. You are also 15-30 minutes from Downtown Portland to see some big shows and large events.
Bellingham has a great smaller city charm with a ton of recreation. Biggest draw back in the limited economy and its 2 hours from Seattle and an hour (and border crossing) from Vancouver BC, so if you need to get into the city it’s not super convenient.
Everett is a mix bag for me. I think if you want to be in the Seattle area the best places are the Eastside (which is extremely expensive) or the South Sound in Tacoma, Gig Harbour, University Place area.
@@devanwilliams1127 thank you so much for your valuable information! I have overlooked Vancouver but really want to explore. I like that I can work in Washington sans state income tax, and pop over to Oregon for tax-free shopping, and culture. And the 5 is close in case I need to get to PDX or Sacramento.
I love Fairhaven; it seems like the perfect district. Bellingham is beautiful, but might be inconvenient, as you pointed out. I was thinking about the proximity to Whistler-Blackcomb...but probably not really practical for a home mountain. Mt. Hood isn't far. I've only skied Palmer Field, but the idea of near year round skiing sounds incredible!
Seattle is too expensive and peopley for my comfort level. I love to visit by ferry, but not sure about a daily dose. I worked in W. Seattle for a couple of months and sometimes went to work via the Bremerton Seattle ferry/hike/bus/more hike route. It was fun for the short time I did it, but the fares can add up quickly. My employer didn't offer the ORCA pass either.
I have to agree with you on Everett...seems like a mixed bag. I like Sequim because I have good friends there. Being that there is a sizable senior population, I was thinking I could find work. I am the lifestyle coordinator for an independent and assisted living senior community. It doesn't pay well compared to my previous profession but I enjoy the work and want to continue with it in Washington (with ACTIVE seniors!).

I am not surprised with New Jersey. The schools are some of the best in the US, it's family-friendly, and there is a good mix of urban and rural areas.

Great video! Wish FL could’ve made the list. Ever since I moved to Tampa, I can’t imagine many other cities (or states) I’d like to live in
This list is the most CORRUPT states.
Florida is definitely close. The cost of living is just going up way too fast and wages are NOT keeping up even remotely
FL is super expensive now, especially all of Tampa bay, over crowded, no public transportation, teachers quitting middle of the day, excessive humidity, no mountains, all the lakes have alligators so you can’t swim in them, traffic, it can be pretty but you have to make 200K a household to live in the safe areas
@@rachelpatterson2327 I can do without mountains. Mountains are overrated. And Florida is literally SURROUNDED by multiple Caribbean islands with mountains so it’s not that serious. Not every lake in Florida has alligators, idk where you’re getting your information from.

I almost fell out of my seat when NJ was Number 10. Have you lost your mind? Yes, the small towns and rural areas are nice and quality healthcare is everywhere, but NJ taxes their people to death no matter where they live in the state. They have the highest property taxes in the country.
I can second that I’m in New Jersey and I’m ready to book it outta here. Yes it does have some great things. That said Taxachussets has nothing’s on Jersey. Oh and it’s 1200+ for a studio. I’m planning on moving within the month. Where to basically none of these choices except maybe South Dakota.
@@RobertWilke im in MA myself and considering NJ, IL or Florida. Definitely an educated, clean and safe state with plenty of jobs but a six figure salary here gets eaten up with all the taxes and inflated costs of labor and just about everything else. Idk where to move. Was considering Houston but dont want to deal with hurricanes. Chicago suburbs and Orlando is at the top of my list but will have to visit but crime and weather are making me reconsider. NJ seems balanced but expensive. However, there is more of diversity, decent health care, schools, IT jobs, etc.
@@basmatic_rice if ridiculously high cost of living and Totally Delusional one party (Dem) system are your thing then NJ will be fine. Surprised NJ made the list, but those beautiful suburbs in the NY metro area have huge property taxes. IMO it is the most geologically diverse state in the country, it practically has every biome except the tundra or the tropics. Been all over the state, visiting every town from Cape May to High Point.
Omaha has huge property taxes on those lower priced houses. Paid them for 8 years.
