So Sam is Kaiba and the third guy in the black shirt is Mokuba in this scenario. Then that must make the last person is a 3rd rate duelist with a 4th rate deck
@@Stay_Frosty1226that was because the manga and anime were released first, so the rules weren’t still in place. I look at it that each tournament or arc had it set of rules and that the first arc rules where like playing a card game with some story telling like D&D.
To be fair, 4Kids changed Flame Swordsman's card to look like a fusion card, when it's supposed to be a normal monster instead. I only know this due to recently rewatching the original show in Japanese
Apparently, in Bandai’s OCG rules, the predecessor to the yugioh most of us got to know and play, there was no tribute summon. The Anime makes a bit more sense with those rules in mind, especially the very first scene in the first episode, Yugi vs Joey. There was also no life points, so the anime was kind of a weird mix of old and new rules. Glad that they fixed that in GX
I know you guys got the inspiration for this from that one VR duel where they did this with pot of greed and monster reborn lmao. Keep coming with these, they are top tier entertainment
Sam: I activate Pot of Greed to DRAW 3 CARDS!! I play Monster Reborn to revive POT OF GREED!!! I play Monster Reborn again to revive MIRROR FORCE!!!! Now That's a real anime real life duel 😂
This is actually a fun subgame me and my friends would play occasionally, especially when our friend group decks reached points (in pack/deck cycles) where one or two of us had virtually unbeatable decks. This was one of the most fun ways to play. Another fun idea is playing with a bunch of randomly chosen cards, and seeing if we could discover hidden synergies. Additionally we'd shuffle both our decks, then randomly choose cards from each other's decks (sometimes at random, sometimes getting to just visibly choose which cards we wanted) and then played against each other, and see who could still have a functional deck. A final wild twist, is playing with (any random, or even meta) deck with every card entirely faced down, mwaning that neother you, nor your opponent would have any fucjing clue what card either of you are playing. Essentially you would choose (obviously this would be random, since you can't possibly accurately guess) cards in your hand to play, but you'd have to place them faced down on the field (attack, defense, spell, trap, field card, anything and everything). And the card is only flipped face up and read/activated once it is used (if you placed it in the spell/trap zone) or attacking/attacked. So what happens half the time is you'd place monsters in the spell/trap zone, and spells/traps in the monster zone lol. It required a great deal of imagination and innovation to explain why a lot of effects/outcomes would function the way it did. Imagine this: you place a monster in face down attack mode. You attack your opponent's monster. It's a Mirror Force, which kills your monster. But your monster ends up being a Monster Reborn, so although my Monster Reborn is now destroyed, I am still able to resolve the special summon from my graveyard (now knowing my options) to bring an actual monster out. We decided that defaultively spells beat traps, traps beat monsters, and monsters beat spells. I highly suggest people try this. It's more fun than gimmicky, as gimmicky as this is. This was all during the Duelist Kingdom through Orichalcos era. Battle City being the golden age.
JESUS CHRIST MAN THIS IS SO FUNNY LMFAO. I cannot express how much happiness this brings me. I only WISH this is how the kids played in high-school while the actual competitive players passed by looking at them like “You got this bro” LMFAO
I remember playing against younger friends that made their own rules and didn't tribute monsters to summon their higher level monsters it was annoying lol but that's not what it does ..... it is what it does lmao

This is hilarious. The best part is there were actually kids like this that were soo sure they were playing the game right you couldn't even argue with them even though you knew they couldn't even read the cards
Been feeling down and out then i came across this video and when your friend starts running after reborn pot of greed. I busted out laughing so thank you, that made me feel better
I remember my friend bought 3 decks of the blue ice white dragon. He thought tournaments worked the way the show did. It was hilarious seeing him struggle in the tourney. He had no cards to sac summon. It was the best day if you're into seeing spoiled kids not get their way.
We need to seriously upgrade the way we play card games with new tec every day I’m sure we can set up holographic screens to play out the actual game play as we place our cards 🔥🙏🏻🙏🏻

The car driving by must be like: "wtf's going on there?!" 🤣🤣🤣

Shadow Duel
Nah the driver is obviously Kaiba scoffing at them as he drives by and calling them 4th rate duelists
Naw the driver was thinking damn i dueled that guy a month ago and he still doesn't know how his cards work
Yea I know that car was probably like "that's not what it does"
The real crime here is the way he's treating those cards. 😭
That's how it was when we did that with sleeves they get awkward I. Those things
Facts lmao
Those duel discs were made to ruin your cards, so in the future any super rare card that would have value got destroyed. Yeah.
They are low grade cards. Worth less then what they get from 1 view of this video.
