Way to go! Love watching your adventure videos.
Thanks so much for watching Sue!
This is so great, I work on LCT for a living. So great seeing anglers fishing for wild, non-hatchery LCT that we work hard to keep on the landscape for the public to enjoy. Enjoyed this immensely.
Glad you liked it Faith! Honestly getting to fish for wild non hatchery trout has been great but just seeing the places where these trout live is half the fun. Crazy how far you have to go to find some of these populations! Would love to check out the video.
That’s amazing! How does one get to work with wild species of fish? I’d love to be apart of that line of work!
Well done! I get such a kick out of your adventures! Gorgeous trout!
This was a fun one for sure!
Way to go boys, congrats!
This was a really fun one!
LCT! LCT! Love it guys, I really enjoy watching your videos. I’ve caught Eagle Lake Rainbows before, they are great eating with salmon pink meat.
Ya Eagle Lake rainbows are a pretty unique species we will talk about those more in the next video but they can survive some crazy environments I think that is why they stock them in certain places where other species might not work. We went and got some in their native range which is pretty cool.
I can tell you multiple multiple areas that have the hot and cutthroat from Bishop all the way to Reno but you got to remember there is other strains out there like the alvord and the Humboldt I can actually tell you where it's legal to catch a Paiute
can you tell me where i could catch a wild lahontan ina stream. not a stocked one if that’s even a thing i live far so it’d be a whole trip out to cali but yeah that’d be so nice i can’t find anyrbinf the maps aren’t in depth enough
Such a perty fish. So sick!!
They are such cool trout
Cant believe y’all don’t have more subs and vids. Subscribed and binging vids now. Keep it up
P.S: I love the tiny ten tenkara rod for those small close quarters streams
Thanks for tuning in to the videos! We are just out here trying to have a good time!
Nice to see some Lahontan cutties being caught not on ladders at Pyramid 🤘🏻🤣
That was the original plan! But after doing some more research and finding out that those Pyramid Lake Lahontans aren't native to Pyramid lake we wanted to find some of the more isolated species.
@@tenkararodco it looks like your way was WAY more fun! And thanks for repping the hat, Tuna!! 🤘🏻
There's a spot to find them that's even more isolated than where you guys fished and there in southern Nevada
Sweet😎
Very nice fish. Wilson Canyon? Just leave a couple for us. Cool video & thank you for sharing.
They are such cool fish! Im sure you will find some.
My buddy told me about these rods and I think I found what I’ve been looking for in terms of a fly rod!
Gance eh
Montana black spots get big. But you have to know where to get them.
Still have never caught one even though they are one of the Montana state fish!
@@tenkararodco big trout hit big lures.
I've caught many with bass plugs.
Great video!! Just got a tenkara rod. What line do you guys prefer to use? Thanks!!
I guess it depends on what you are fishing. In the Summer our go to is the Crossbreed floating line fishing dry flies.
Just ordered my Sierra and can’t wait to start the Nevada Native Fish Slam this year!
Good luck that sounds like a really fun challenge!
Hi there, I live in Reno,NV. Just bought one of your rods last year. Planning to buy another one soon! Where is this creek?
Awesome! This creek isn't in the Reno area. Nevada honestly has so many good spots like this. If you spend some time on the western native trout challenge maps you can find some good ones!
They don’t want to tell you
Verdi Lake behind Verdi Peak in Lamoille Canyon was great LCT fishing. Good luck getting there !
Planning a backpacking fishing trip to the ruby’s. I’d be interested to hear more
@@replicatingsps4118 we parked near Terraces campground. The aspens are a lot younger and thinner to the right side of the campground. Thats where we started and you just Billy goat up the canyon wall towards that saddle to the left of Verdi peak. That will drop you down to the lake
@@spencerskewes9370 any nice sized fish or all small?
@@replicatingsps4118 the biggest we caught were in the 19-20in range but they weren’t even beaked off at the mouth so we think there’s bigger
I am thinking of buying a tenkara rod. I am thinking of fishing for brook trout in the 6-12 inch range and some panfish. I am fishing Smaller lakes and spring ponds. What rod should I get?
Hey Brock I would probably go Sawtooth rod for what you are describing.
Thanks! Just ordered it!
Wildhorse Dam. Elko county. Duck Valley Indian Res and Mountain City, Nevada.
Tenkara rods are made in China.
G Loomis rods are made in Woodland Washington state.
It's time to take a stand for made in America. Where ever that may be.
I catch big fish. Fck tenkara bitch made rods 😂😂😂
Red bands 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
