I got a reusable fabric advent calendar for my 20mo this year. Put chocolate coins in 1/3 of the pockets, and normal snacks in the others 🤣. Pieces of paper that say yogurt and he can go pick a yogurt from the fridge etc... So far he's been fooled 🤣
Loving the hairy leg representation! I have allergies to about everything under the sun so I almost never shave, and I get *such* judgmental looks from people when I wear shorts that I almost never wear them. It’s 50/50 whether the judgement will be from other women who don’t think I’m doing femininity “right” and feel a need to lecture me on it, or some old man in the supermarket who’s trying to ogle, then turns a disgusted face when he sees leg hair. (And to men like that-you don’t get to be disgusted by a woman literally just existing when you are the disgusting one, shamelessly creeping on strangers half your age.) Anyway-it’s encouraging to that insecure, constantly-criticized part of me to see someone who’s so confident and cool being unapologetically happy with her entirely normal and natural-yet for some reason demonized-leg hair. Thank you!
Amen to that! I also have the problem of my skin reacting badly to every de-hairing-method (lol excuse the bad english) under the sun. So even if i would think, being hairless on certain areas ((suprisingly creepy old men never get weirded out by eyebrows, hair on the head, or eyelashes, sarcasm off)) would be worth my money or my time, i couldn't do it
i know it’s already way into december, but an advent calendar idea for kids is a book one! just let him pick and unwrap a book at bedtime every night! you can even check out a bunch of library books if you don’t want to buy a bunch of new ones
I will never forget an annecdote you told being nervous about hairy legs during s*x, and then realizing that if a guy did care, then he wasn't the kind uf guy you wanted to be intimate with. And that stuck with me. I tell my self that everytime I get selfconsious. Sp thanks for the hairy legs :3
As soon as you got the green sponge out I was like NOOOO! I've done this before when trying to scrub things and it can leave marks. Better to use sponges with a soft white scourer top
I wish people were less insecure about hairy legs - in winter its basically 6 months of hairy legs unless I need a confidence boost like im presenting (even wearing trousers) - thank you for normalising this :)
I have to comment just to say I laughed out loud at the thumbnail tone shift. Yesterday, there was sexy Hannah scrubbing floors, today a downcast Hannah saying ‘I really needed this’. Love it
Watching this on the second monitor as I finish up my day of work. I love this time of year and this sort of life admin morning feels strangely festive? Tidying up outstanding tasks and getting everything in order before taking time off is such a good feeling. Also! the yellow lamps on the new shelves/console look so nice! I can't wait to one day own a place and be able to decorate or change the space more permanently to fit me and my partner.
My daughter doesn't like chocolate (both of us are salty snack gals lol) but she really likes the paper advent calendars where you build a scene. They're so pretty and you can keep them for playing with in future. I got a candle advent calendar from Scents of Humour and I'm loving it! I had a Yankee Candle one in the past but it was so full of plastic, whereas these ones are like small business/vegan/sustainable and (I think) plastic free and they smell sooo good
Since you'll be continuing to make content on this channel, I have to say this is one of my FAVORITE videos you do and I also sincerely hope you continue to do vlognukkah in the future because it really fills a void in Jewish/Hanukkah content 😅
honestly thank you for the hairy leg representation! i'm afab nonbinary and while i love wide leg trousers, i'm realising that i'm also exclusively wearing them out of fear of being judged in shorts, skirts and dresses
I got my 1 year old a chocolate advent calendar, and it is EASILY his favourite Christmas tradition! We open it together, I eat most of it and then give him a little bit and his face lights up. He now starts shrieking with joy every time I bring it out. 100% no regrets, it brings us all so much joy ❤
very much appreciate the hair leg representation! I sprained my knee a few days ago and as I lifted my trouser leg up for the examination and x ray, I felt a bit awkward about my hairy legs (even though I'm very typically not bothered!!)
ahhh this vlognukah has been delightful!! what a lovely, calming series of videos to unwind with after work 💜 very grateful for your time and energy, hannah!
We’re limited sugar for our 18 mo so I’m doing an experienced/stickers advent calendar for her. The experiences are super easy though. For example we did a disco bath one night, and another night was having a “picnic” in the living room for dinner. I have a wooden music box reusable advent calendar so we’ll just do the same thing every year and maybe phase in chocolate for part of it when she’s older. Also she 100% doesn’t comprehend the idea of “only one” right now, so one piece of candy a day would be hella frustrating for all of us.
Hey, I know you are trying to do your best to care for your child by limiting her sugar. Unfortunately, these kinds of restrictions on food intake can have really negative impacts long-term to your child's health and her relationship with you. I urge you to look into intuitive eating and non-coercive parenting so you can support your child in learning what her body needs and wants and how it makes her feel. I wrote another comment on the video that I'll post here too to make sure you see it: It's much better for kids' overall wellbeing, their relationship with you, and their life-long relationship with food to support them in exploring their own needs, desires, and rhythms with food from as young as possible (except in cases of allergies, celiac, or other medically necessary food restrictions, of course). Then they don't have to unlearn all the orthorexic wiring when they are older. Restricting foods will only make them want those foods more. If you support free access to as many foods as possible when/however you're able to, it is much more likely they'll have a peaceful relationship with food and eating and be less likely to fall into restrict-binge cycles. And they will not feel driven to hide and sneak things from you! Check out Rythea Lee's content for more on the topic of non-coercion & how she's let her kid eat whatever she wants since she was 5 and it's been worth it 💗
@@magnoliaskogenthank you for your information and feedback! After all, we’re all just out here trying to do our best. In actuality, I think we’re crushing it with eating habits and food relationships. We’re limiting sugar, and more specifically added sugar, because our daughter is only 18 months old. Based on our own reviews of research and STEM backgrounds, we’ve decided that complying with the AAP (we’re in the US) recommendation is in her best interest for long term health. Toddlers are going through explosive cognitive and physical growth in the first 3 years, and more specifically in the first 24 months. They have tiny stomachs and their diet is fueling so much growth, so what they take in is important. Right now our focus is on introducing her to a variety of foods, referencing what they do for our bodies at a basic level (e.g. fat helps build our brain, protein builds our muscles, carbs give us energy), and making sure that no foods are “special” or “good/bad.” We believe her when she signs that she’s all done and don’t force her to eat more. Well…sometimes we don’t believe her. Usually just when she signs or says “all done” but the reaches for more food 😂 I didn’t look into the influencer you referenced, but you did say that she started letting her child eat whatever she wanted at 5. That’s a MUCH different age in just about every developmental way than a toddler. Like I said, in my opinion we’re crushing with regard to our child’s relationship with food *at this developmental stage.* Our approach will continue to mature as she does. Our activity/sticker advent calendar was fun for all of us, and my partner and I didn’t have separate candy ones, because we also limit (not restrict) our intake of added sugar. A lot of research supports that added sugar is not good for any one of any age, and is addictive, but that’s a whole separate thing! A piece of chocolate every day just because it’s December isn’t very intuitive to my body. Genuinely, thank you for caring about our next generation and their parents. I think a lot of us were raised in “clean plate club” households or have had really disordered eating habits over the years thanks to the many many fad diets that were pushed. At the end of the day, I want my child to know that a “diet” is just the type of food you eat.
when i was younger we had a playmobile advent calendar that we basically reused every year for at least 6 years, there might be something similar for smaller kids?
I've seen a lot of handmade advent calenders, where parents add something they're ok with, and not only food, but also some small toys or activity suggestions (for example, "crafting a snowflake", "baking chtistmas cookies together ", "making punsch", "riding on the sleighs", "writing a letter to Santa", etc.
I bought a similar rug cleaner from a different brand which included a middle step of scrubbing it with a wet sponge after the foam to remove some of the dirt that way, and then wait two hours and vacuum too. It was VERY tiring (the rug in question also twice the size of yours 😅) but I definitely saw more of a result than you did
I had to comment that I noticed the pushchair and water bottle colour combo at 9:44 are the same colours as your new updated living room: Yellow, orange, and blue! Love that these colours are already incorporated into your life in different ways. I love the combo and think the living room turned out great, too!
That carpet cleaner hasn't really worked for me either, I decided to splurge and get a bissell spot clean vacuum cleaner and it works so much better, I use for mattresses and sofas as well...
I was really hoping that stuff would work because I have a spot I want to get out of one of my carpets. Oh well. Lol. Glad you had a fun day, and I really enjoyed watching this! :)
We (an eastern European household) clean our rugs at the car was annually. Works like a charm, but needs to be done over the summer so they can dry out
i have a carpet cleaner...so i'd just get that out. But you mostly have wood flooring...so no point. I use white vinegar for a lot of stuff. mostly a wipe has got stuff up. but depends on the stain. Unless you get a hand held cleaner for rug and can use on other fabric items.

Yes! Thank you for showing your hairy legs! It must have been really scary posting that online with such a big online presence. But you have normalised it to so many people. I've got quite lazy with hair removal in recent years, and sometimes I feel like I'm not doing a good enough job for my partner. But it's so reassuring to see you, with a husband, not giving a damn. I still love the feeling I get right after I shave my legs. But I should equally feel good about letting it grow. Why has body hair got so complicated?!
In my opinion, it's not lazy to let your body be how it naturally exists. Also you do not owe your partner hair removal at all, and if they have an issue with that, it reveals a lot about them 💜
Thanks for sharing your hairy legs lol you’re absolutely right that it’s very rare to see! Mine are like that pretty much all year round however l feel alone and weird about it?Hoping it will get destigmatised
Thank you for showing your hairy legs - it's such a small thing but I just know it'll make so many of us feel better about ours!

Non-yellow wall reveals the secrets of a production schedule... :)
Haha! This was filmed the day before we painted 😅

You are such a delightful person! ❤ So glad we are not losing the vlog channel!!!
Hannah you spraying the rug was so chaotic & funny! I'm glad I'm not the only 'organised but no clue how to clean' kinda person 😀😅
The "Trains, no? up, trains!" so relateable and cute!
Uhhh i love the dreidel content!
Also, as a very hairy woman, seeing you show your normal legs almost made me cry ❤
This is such an ideal day, I was jealous watching haha. Perfect mix of getting things done and doing stuff just for you! Love these types of video.
So sad Vlognukah is ending! I enjoyed it so much this year, thank you for the giggles and the pure enjoyment I got from your videos❤❤❤

Been watching you for over 10 years! I'm loving the nod to Jewish culture content
Ironically I'm also currently watching this to distract myself from bad period cramps! Your vlogs are always very relaxing to watch 😊
legit i saw your legs and went 'good girl!' for showing us
It could be that the green sponge you used made the marks on the rug 😕 glad you got a massage! I’d have one every week if I could 😊
Omg same

Those little Rowan piggie-toes during toast time just made my toddler mom brain so happy. Nothing quite so cute as chunky little toddler toesies ❤
I love seeing your wardrobe transitions, you should show us what you send back to big sister swap!
Loved the hairy legs part! Yay for realness!
very much appreciate the hair leg representation! I sprained my knee a few days ago and as I lifted my trouser leg up for the examination and x ray, I felt a bit awkward about my hairy legs (even though I'm very typically not bothered!!)
hannah, I've been home with covid for the past 2 weeks and your videos really cheered me up. Thanks a lot

Living room picnics over chocolates every day
Ok… a disco bath sounds amazing!!!! I want one now
@@emmibobablelights off, bubble bath, glow sticks, and a Spotify playlist of classic disco music 🪩 it’s a blast!

Excited for the new More Hannah content in 2024,I'm just nosey about your new career! 😂 Belated happy Vlognukah/Hannukah everyone
When I was a kid I got an advent calendar with mini books, such a good idea to spruce up bedtime/mid-day reading
24:31 🎵IS THIS AS GOOD AS IT GEEEEEEEETS 🎵
Thanks for the Vlognukah videos Hannah! Had a week of essay writing and it was so nice to have a video waiting before/after a long day of work.
I laughed out loud at the carpet cleaner exploding on the furniture 😂
I love love love that scarf!! You inspired my fashion brain❤❤
This was a surprisingly inspiring way of planning a day! Might give something similar a go.
As someone who has 2 filthy rugs which need dealing with in the New year Yes . Yes this is the content I am after 😂😁
Those green scrubby things are not colour fast, that is where the new marks on the rug came from! I've also learnt the hard way...
Chag sameach Hannah love this video 😊
We bought a carpet cleaner because it was discounted in b&m and it works SO well and wasnt expensive BUT its so big and annoying to store so if financially its viable for you id recommend hiring one because then it doesnt tske up space in your home!

Does anyone know where I can buy the embroidered skirt please?? I love it!!

oh my god my gp has the same hold music and it gave me actual whiplash hahah
Hahaha
The white nails look exactly like when I'd paint my nails with correction fluid in middleschool.
You do more things in a day than I do in a week. 😮
love these videos! maybe you can make them more often?
When I saw the title I expected to see a day of cooking, cleaning and childcare 😂 housewifing doesn't associate with pampering in my mind 😅 great day for sure 👍
Where is the rug from? Ive been looking for a grown up rainbow one for ages!!!
Toodler forcing you to stand up by insistent pulling on head/ arms/ anything they can grab? I HARD relate!
White nails always makes me flash back to painting my nails with whiteout in school. Anyone else ? xD
lmao I misread the title as "I Became A Horse Wife" and my brain interpreted that to mean that you pretended to be a horse
15:40 reminds me of the scene from Chocolat when the wife is scrubbing away and her husband gets all hot and bothered thanks to the magical chocolates he’s dug into 🍫 😍
That was what it made me think of too!
I was actually thinking about how happy I was you showed your hairy legs because I don’t see that that often, and then you talked about it lol
A lot of people here in the comments are talking about restricting their children's food intake (sugar, chocolate, etc). I would strongly encourage you all to learn about intuitive eating and non-coercive parenting! This Vanish thing has destroyed my chair and sofa xd IT doesn't clean shit
I waaaant those tights!!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for sharing your hairy legs. 😅 It should be normal in the media to see women with hairy legs btw mine are hairy most of the year too.😄
He's a bit young for them still probably because the prizes are small but there are *toy* Advent calendars...
