      No, that's almost the opposite of what he said/meant. When you tell a victim to move on, it's simply saying "don't let this define how your life will be now or into the future." He wasn't dismissing what happened.

    The victim did a better job than the Prosecutor by asking the judge for the maximum amount sentence. What a disgrace he should have appeal the judge sentence to see if this judge has ever given that type of sentence for a defendant!!! Looks like some back door dealing going on. What a Disgrace!!!

    • @frankgordon8829
      @frankgordon8829 6 місяців тому +1

      Regardless of what they'll tell you, the sentence is decided before the verdict is read. I had a friend going through a divorce & she asked her lawyer if he was going to do such & such. He told her, "Me and (judges name) are going on vacation & we'll go over all his cases I'm representing." So, "back door dealing" is an understatement!!!!

      In his eyes he was and is the victim. He explains his innocence the entire time he says this is his training he says. He broke his hand, hurt his shoulder and was tazed. He is only sorry that he got hurt. He said several times the man grabbed his hands resisting an officer’s punches. We the public need to learn our place with in this reasoning. 😅😅 crazy rite.

      The cops standing behind him says 100% that they're not sorry and they'll keep doing whatever they want. Nothing will change cop behavior, unfortunately. Not even bodycams have stopped them from violating our rights. The best way to protect yourself from cops is to not catch their attention at all. Never call them unless you have to. It's sad that we have to be afraid of our "protectors" and to not trust them. We have to stop the process of bad cops hiring bad cops and stop the cycle. We need a civilian group to vett and hire cops that include polygraphs and psych tests. "Trainings" do nothing because there is no assessment that shows that the cops didn't sleep through it, and we all know they don't pay attention to "trainings."
      They make a big deal about cops not having a criminal history lol I wonder why???? With how cops think it's not surprising. Just look at the cops standing behind him and it explains it all. Cops are the only "profession" where coworkers will defend each other no matter how guilty they are. SMH

    The light sentence was due to the delay in sentencing... and had the judge sentenced him to the maximum the defendant would most assuredly appeal and win. By suspending the sentence, it's not likely to get appealed. Judges dont like having their decisions overturned because it makes them look stupid or, worse, vindictive. This also will keep a conviction on the defendant's record and would play a role in any future legal matters he encounters. The judge made the best decision for a really bad situation. I believe had he been able to sentence him right away instead of 6 years later, it would have been a different outcome.

    Perfect example of why everyone needs to be ready and willing to defend themselves against violent criminal cops up to and including using lethal force. You think a judge is gonna hold a violent cop accountable? All these coward cops do is cry around about how many of them get ambushed. As if they are being hunted. Never ever hear them talk about all the people cops have murdered, assaulted, profiled, falsified reports on, planted evidence on, stold property from, violated rights and on and on. This is why they commit the crimes they do because like you just saw they know they won't be held accountable by the same dirty system they are a part of. The only way we are going to change what they are doing is to stand up and fight back. If you don't you will be a victim. Even if you do you might still be a victim but one thing is for sure. If we dont nothing will ever change. The corrupt police departments wont hold themselves accountable. The dirty judges won't either and neither will the government. They are all a part of the same gang of thugs. We got in this situation by not standing up to the tyranny.

    The officers, his buddies, should be made to sit down in court like everybody else. It is intimidation and it is ridiculous and absurd. You haven’t changed. You should have pled guilty if you grew. You fought it and you made the victim sit through a trial and waited for a jury to convict you wasting the courts time. You were not charged because the investigations were done by your buddies. A jury convicted you. 12 of them unanimously. Who also saw the video from the body cameras. Punching to the head and face is legally deadly force. I carried a badge for 20 years and trained about a hundred officers and what I have found is that the officers are trained to lie. They call it training the witnesses. So while they are torturing on the ground like a pack of wild dogs, they constantly yell, “stop resisting.” So that the witness will say, “I heard the officers keep telling him to stop resisting.” All officers take UOF training and still many, as proven by video footage, abuse people violently.

    The cops Lawyer said that the cop didn't go in to the situation intending to break the Law... However, the cop DID BREAK THE LAW AND SHOULD be sentenced to the MAX SENTENCE because he is an employee of the Citizens and is expected to be held to a MUCH HIGHER STANDARD. PERIOD!

      Yes, if that was said about average people, it would be jail time.

    Shame on this judge! What an abdication of his oath as a jurist.

    What a mockery of justice. No jail time for the thug with a badge and the judge tells the guy “hey get over it, you got compensated right” 😂
