    I just want to say thanks for the videos! I recently developed debilitating anxiety and always wondered how other people suffered through this. I never believed that it could cause this much destruction in one's life, until now... Thankfully though after more 3 years of constant fears and reassurances, everything is slowly going back to normal. Almost want to say that I am almost 99% recovered!

      I had this ! You need to apply the same method as any other symptom . It doesn’t go away in a day , takes time. Just like any other anxiety symptom. The obsession becomes less impulsive , until you stop thinking about as often. Takes time. The key is to not fear anything related to breathing. I know it’s not easy but you can recover , trust me I’ve been there.

      I’ll recommend to look into sensory breathing ocd . They focus on this problem specifically , and according to statistics , sensory obsessions are quite successful to overcome . Some people have it with swallowing , blinking or other body functions . Best of luck , and remember it’s all the anxiety at the end of the day

      as was mentionen below already - I had the same thing and you will need to brush it all under the anxiety umbrella. I know it is hard but ultimately the only way to get over this fear and the symptom is to show and prove to yourself that you are physically capable. You do that by challenging yourself just a bit more every time. It is what has worked for me and many others before

      I too dealt with one-sided symptoms and that was one of "my things" that held me back from recovery - Anxiety symptoms on one side? Doesnt seem right and I didnt read or see anyone talking about it back then so I had to get to the bottom of it... It turned out to be anxiety afterall. That is why at some point one just have to give up and sweep it under the anxiety umbrella

    The funny part is, i know its anxiety. I know this isnt killing me. I still shallow breathing bcs of fight or flight. And get dizzy after. I still have muscle tension in breast and neck. I have horrible posture all day, without noticing.
    I know overall its anxiety, but still i wake up with this fckn heavy depressed head, i know there is nothing wrong. But still, anxiety sits always on my neck. Its kinda interesting what it caused in the past times and im curious when it will end and how. This is like a interesting horror trip.

      @ImprovementPath  8 місяців тому +2

      I had the same exact symptoms and so many here on the channel did the too. You got the reassurance from the doctor maybe even two or three.
      Good! And here comes the hardest part - dont keep on trying to figure it out - you already did - let the panic attacks happen and I would even go so far as to say you should expect them but after they have passed work on healthy habits to prove to yourself that you are physically strong and lower stress at the same time. After a few weeks, you will notice how much stronger you are mentally because you have built up confidence in your capabilities and that you have stuck to what you said you would do and true acceptance will somewhat come automatically. I wish you all the best!!!
