Sigh every time...
when someone asks if my dog's are friendly I say that they have never NOT been friendly but pet at your own discretion and approach respectively. One is a 3lb yorkie and the other is a 6lb chihuahua, so despite saying that people always pet them.

Yup, I have had two Timber wolf huskies, know when it comes to pitbulls, JJ has a problem. My huskies were half timber wolf, and know that a pitbull has a biological tendency towards more violence than half wolves. We all know what kind of people own pitbulls and don't care.

My sister’s pit bull jumped her backyard fence and bit her next door neighbor as he walked to his house. She had to pay his doctor bills and animal control told her to put in better fencing because if they get another complaint about her dog biting someone they would euthanize the dog.

Stop chaining your dogs to things in your yard. How about taking them for a walk? My neighbors have two large dogs, chained up outside, never go for walks. Why have a pet? Completely irresponsible.
For the record , dogs absolutely can wriggle out the collar in an emergency....I know she loves dogs but I'm wondering if Judy ever walks them or if she has a person for that.

@@computerzero7724 I have a great leash/harness combo, and my 70 pound mixed-breed escaped it when we crossed over a bridge because she heard water (there was a lake under the bridge running through. She literally went into reverse and slipped out of it.
The real crime here is the fake eyelashes that is negating her vision by probably 30%+ explaining why she keeps doing that wide eye opening thing, lmao.... probably can't even see the judge.

Her dog was supposed to be inside the house yet up till this point she shows no surprise that it got out, just instant defense of the dog. For this part, I'm inclined to believe the man.

I had a German shepherd that decided to go after the yard man. I had the shepherd chained to a screw down stake and he pulled the entire stake out of the ground and stretched it out. When these dogs want to go after someone they will go after them.
I've had my dog for 10 years. They don't make a harness he can't wriggle out of! I don't use a neck collar, they're worse.

@@Roxas_Sanity answer this, it's an easy question. Which dog breed has the most fatal bites every year? The answer should be pretty even if it's truly the owners and not the dogs. But you and I both know there is one breed that has a much much higher percentage of fatal bites than any other breed. 2nd place isn't even close...

Actually that’s very true, I have a husky mixed and she used to have a neck collar she would easily be able to get out of it, the only way she couldn’t was if I tightened it but of course that would be choking her. I ended up switching to a harness which makes a BIG difference but overall I do believe him when he says that his dog got out of her collar even tho leashed.

id like to say my little pit-russel mix has and does slip her collar on her leash, and i use a 20 foot retractable leash lmao not impossible, however i agree its very unlikely in this scenario
My husky does the same thing. Luckily it’s usually after we’re already in the fenced backyard
All dogs can escape from the harness/collar. That's why dogs should know the STOP and NO commands from puppy hood

Dogs with long hair, like Huskies, can absolutely pull out of their collars when they are afraid. I just finished all 3 parts of this case, and it's insane. Everything the Plaintiff says makes sense(from the dog wriggling out of it's collar, to how he was holding the Pit when he returned it). The Defendant's claims however...
A GSD ran out of an open gate and lunged at my Poodle. Even though the body harness was snug, he managed to wriggle free and ran off. I was also holding my Rottweiler at the time and although he was a gentle giant, he was doing his best to put himself between me and the vicious GSD who at that point turned on me. The lucky thing was, the GSD did not bite my Rottie. After unsuccessful attempts at getting me, the GSD went home. I was completely traumatised.
And when a tether is paper thin, @Jennifer Mertens, and a pit bull strength, can break the tether like it was straw. And the Plaintiff says the dogs wiggled out of its collars, means that the collar was not adjusted properly for the dog. You have to make sure the collar is on tight, where you can put two fingers to check and make sure the collar is not too tight. Defendant should not own a pit bull or any doggo she cannot control. Wrap around a tree is not a great idea.

Well, I have experience of both huskies and Malamutes, and they don't just sit down not knowing what to do if someone in their pack gets attacked by another dog, and neither does the dog that gets attacked!
They are not vicious and mostly uses pure agility to give a "marking bite" (hard bite that doesn't pierce the skin) often over the neck of the other dog to show they don't tollerate that behaviour.
Besides; a malamute and a husky together would be the ones standing over that pitbull 11 times out of 10!
Damn, one of my huskies even did that when he got attacked by a pitbull that was used in illegal dogfights when my dog was only 7 months old!
They don't start fights, but they sure as hell finish them! And often without hurting the other dog even...
Besides; why the hell does he even use a collar when he knows how easily they can wiggle put of them? You only use harnesses on slead dog breeds!
If you can't handle them in a harness, they are the wrong breed for you, since you don't have the right mentality for those breeds

As a husky owner I can see the dog getting out of the collar. First their smart and second All that fluff makes it tough to get the collar on correctly/tight. That’s why I use a martingale collar. Might be time for that guy to switch to that.
So many dog owners have a sense of entitlement beyond what is generally considered reasonable. They all seem to think people should just suck up their dogs' vicious behaviour.
Oh yeah, I have a pitbull and a Shih Tzu mix and we go on walks almost every single day and there are so many people where their dogs get loose because they leave them on long lines because I live in a trailer park. We can’t have fenced in yards so people leave their dogs on long lines, unattended, where the owners are not outside Supervising them they get out of their collars or dogs getting out the front door and running at my pitbull and my Shih Tzu mix trying to attack them and I’m a dog trainer. I have trained thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of dogs and I have trained pit bulls and I have never been bit by one. I’ve always been bit by labs huskies. Blue heelers and a lot of little dogs I’m not saying that these dogs are bad dogs. It also comes down to people picking the best dog for their lifestyle. There are high energy, dog breeds and pit bulls are one of them they were actually originated. To herd livestock to fight but people would actually do research and not look at fake websites that don’t have real information I mean people use them for fighting for quick cash, and they pick the breed because of their look and they strength their endurance. They’re willingness to do anything for their owner and their high pain tolerance herding breeds have high pain tolerance I mean I’ve seen those dogs work and they get thrown up in the air by livestock hit a metal fence fall right onto the ground and get back up and go back to work and I bet you she does not really exercise her dog or else it would have a balanced mind and a balanced life of course training is key to socialization is key to and people have too much of a busy life to socialize their dogs regularly too. There’s a ton of pet friendly stores and a people would also do more research 65% of so-called pitbull tax weren’t even pitbull. They were mixed breed dogs that got identified as pitbull because people think that all because the dog has a big square head it’s a pitbull they get mistaken by so many breeds that have no trace a pitbull in them and these are proven a lot of them are massive mixes lab mixes, boxer, mixes, chowchow mixes, they get mistaken by Dargo Argentina, all the time and American bullies I’m not saying these dogs are aggressive or mean dogs are horrible dogs they just get mistaken for pitbull all the time it really does come down to people picking the best breed for their lifestyle and also picking a real professional breeder these backyard breeders just want a mass produce these dogs and not pick the best male and female dogs and these dogs a lot of the time have chemical and balances mental problems and just like humans anger problems can develop to and it’s not a specific breed thing. It’s just every dog has their own different personalities and people are breeding these dogs that don’t have the best temperament genetics and health and again it doesn’t matter with the breed. This is happening with Labradoodles golden doodles huskies and the list goes on why was the pitbull America’s mascot basically from the 1920s to the 1960s I mean my grandma she even said back, then that almost every family had a pitbull, it’s because stupid people tarnishing the dogs breed for their own gain. When are we gonna start blaming ourselves?

collars aren't designed to be wiggled out of. if any dog, or cat, can do that, its a poorly designed peice of crap.
@@matthewbarabas3052 Even with a properly fitted collar dogs can get out pretty easy, that's one of the reasons most people don't really use them anymore.
Martingale collars can work, but they can cause damage if not carefully fitted so they are best reserved for dogs with small slim heads like sighthounds.

I have seen my dog Houdini his way out of his harness a few times while trying to get away from something that scares him. I dog-sat a friend’s dog recently and had him harnessed, leashed and tied up in my dining room for a few minutes while moving furniture around in the next room (so that he couldn’t get in the way or hurt) and he also somehow got out of his harness, too! I can imagine getting out of a collar is even easier than a harness.
You probably put the harness on too loose, and/or it was too big.
It’s obvious to me that the household of the Defendant is void of integrity. Her husband calling a friend officer to facilitate the lie goes directly to his corrupt ways. He has no business with a badge on his chest with is for Officers with integrity and professional standards. Being a lier in uniform is incredibly disturbing. Maybe his department is okay with it.
Any time there's a pit bull issue you count on the fact there will be apologists and vapid defenders of the breed in the comments section, but numbers don't lie.

These number compared to the rate of reported attacks by breed is even more disturbing:

It's not clear whether all these reported attacks resulted in physical injury that required medical treatment but I imagine an attack that does not result in such injury is probably less likely to be officially reported at all.
Personally I have known several Pit Bulls who were great dogs. When I volunteered for an animal re-homing shelter my favorite dog I ever worked with was a Pit Bull. However, any dog has the potential to be unpredictable and the issue is compounded by the ability of weak willed, incompetent individuals to own them. The fact that they exhibit a higher incidence of attacks and fatalities makes them unsuitable as pets. Perhaps some people should be able to own them in a professional capacity but it should require special training, passing a certain level of competency and very stringent special licensing.
The numbers are so damning. There's no other way to spin it.

Yeah.. sounds like the dog maybe got out of its collar and ran onto defendent's property. Possible his dog actually attacked the other dog first. Even still defendent will be at least partly responsible as she should have had her dog confined on the property.
I hate dog owners who say things like "my dog will never hurt anybody"... Your dog can be well trained and all angelic but they are still dogs! They have the potential to hurt anyone, provoked or unprovoked. Can dog owners who are in denial get this in their brains!

They will literally get thrown up in the air by livestock hit a metal fence smack their body on the ground and get up and go back to work. They are high energy dog breeds just like Siberian huskies dalmatians, Jack Russell terriers border collies. Blue heelers and if these dogs don’t get exercise, they’re mental health can decline and that can lead to behavioral problems and aggression problems, which it is not the dog fault it’s people who do not pick the best dog breed for their lifestyle I have helped trained thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of dogs and 70% of my clients where their dog had behavioral problems aggression problems are both 70% of the time it went away because they actually started exercising their dogs regularly. These high energy dog breeds me 2 to 3 hours a day of exercise. They cannot go a whole month without exercise and as people human beings we are lazy a lot of of us are and what does that mean then pick a dog breed best suited for their lifestyle not a dog they want or based on its looks or if they see it on movies and TV shows and whatever
Dog breed is the trend of the year they’re not toys even a Chihuahua needs a 20 minute walk a day or every other day or else their mental health starts declining. I have had so many Chihuahuas that I have trained and their behavioral problems and aggression problems drastically went down or went away because they were actually being exercised and getting out of the house and not cooped up in a house or a backyard Dogs exercise outside of the home and outside the backyard I mean how would humans be being stuck in the house or in a backyard all the time and then finally being able to get out and have all this pent-up energy and they don’t know what to do with it. Some dogs are different some I have aggression when they’re amped up because they don’t know what to do some pull on the leash like a freight train some get severely, anxious and scared. I mean they’re even wanting to put the Siberian husky on the aggressive breed list because stupid people get them win they’re not gonna Provide what that dog needs. Also with the rate of backyard breeding these backyard breeders which we have way more in America than professional breeders they don’t pick the best male and female dog these backyard breeders dogs that may have chemical inbalances health problems, and some dogs are born wired wrong and I don’t mean breeds I’m just saying like how people are wired right when they’re born and they don’t find out till later in life or they have a disability or a chemical imbalance, and some people are born with an anger issue. It can happen with dogs. It doesn’t stoop down to a breed, and like I said that gets passed down to the offspring and then a lot of those people are going to breed those offspring with another dog and then it’s going to be passed down to those offspring and it happens a lot more than what people think that’s why again it stems down to being the owners fault obviously backyard breeders too, but the owners fault for not doing research on recommendable and professional, breeders and finding the right one if they’re going to get it from the backyard breeder, they might as well just go get a dog from the shelter I mean really you’re taking as much as a gamble as getting a dog from the shelter which there are a lot of amazing shelter dogs but honestly, I bet you anything she barely walks her dog and with it being a pitbull, it needs a lot of exercise and I bet you she didn’t train the dog which that’s a big thing too and socialization is a big thing too. It's crazy. I was walking my dog around the block since I was 7 years old. It took one time for my dog to slip out of it's loose collar to remedy the situation and prevent it from happening again.
Within one breath, the defendant told three lies that common sense shows she was lying. She claimed the plaintiff was cradling her pitbull in his arms when he was returning the dog at the door. Could you imagine someone cradling a pitbull after it had viciously attacked your dog? The second lie was about her dog being left in the house when they were gone, then tied to a tree, then let out. Which one was it? She then insisted her dog was in the house, but how could the plaintiff have her dog outside and how could her dog attack his? Finally, she downplayed the injuries by saying it was just some bleeding, but seeing blood means a serious injury occurred. What a disgusting human being.
I watched my dog bust off a chain and attack a dog whom he thought was attacking his brother. The dog wasn’t attacking his brother, they were playing, guess what I did??? PAID THE FUCKING MONEY. Over 4 months is cost thousands of dollars ( some BS charges I believe) but because I’m adult, that’s the right thing to do.
I didn’t have the money to do it, but as a responsible dog owner, I knew my dog messed up. People need to hold themselves accountable.

I had a shepherd husky mix who easily got out of his collars and even somehow chewed one off. It is very possible for them especially in a scenario like this to get off a leash or out of a collar

I beg to differ when it comes to size. Smaller sizes almost never require extensive surgery nor amputation due to their bites.
If you feel like it, you could even fly kick the dog to the other end of the world and be completely safe.

You’re absolutely right! They’re one of the most dangerous & unpredictable breeds & should be outlawed!! Some states already have; but not all. I have seen some pretty horrific things happen to people that really thought they could tame them & some actually raised them for quite a while & all of a sudden, they for no reason at all, turn on them & maul them to death!! 😢 I would never have one! Rottweilers or Cane Corsos , Dobermans & German Shepherds that were bred to be aggressive, are also not good to have as a pet. However; the Pittbull is the worst breed.

Huskies are one of the most known dogs to escape from leashes, collars, and pretty much anything. Their bodies are pretty skinny under all the fur that they can maneuver through a lot of spaces. Not to mention their necks are built almost the same size as their head so it’s difficult to find collars that they can’t slip out of. The fact this lady tried to say “how does a dog even get out of its leash” proves she knows nothing about dogs and clearly shouldn’t have one. Any dog could have the potential to slip out of its collar and huskies even more so.
I have worked in a veterinary hospital for years including managing the boarding facility,, and YES leashes that clip to a collar do slip off all the time, when the dog is facing the owner but pulling away,, the collar will slip right over the dog's head, that is why we recommend using a leash and harness.
There are a lot of things about the defendant worth criticizing, but the fact that she appears to have strabismus (a lazy eye) isn't one of them. Don't stoop to the lowest common denominator, it makes you look cheap.
Lazy eye isn't the problem with the defendant; it's lazy brain syndrome; it takes forever to get it out of first gear.
My dog was scared of the car, when she was a pup, I was putting a harness, a collar and two leashes to try to get her to get in the car, she was able to pull out of BOTH the harness and the collar!!!

As a husky mom, trust me. It can happen. Lol. Being mom to a proven escape artist, I have to double-hook his harness and collar with a locking carabiner in the car because otherwise, he routinely Houdini-s himself out of the regular lock and tries to jump either into the front seat or out the window when he sees something exciting. 😂

“How do dogs just get out of a leash?!” Oh come on! Is she not a dog owner?! 🙄 Anyone who has ever owned a dog knows this can happen from time to time.
And when it happens you take steps to make sure it doesn't happen again. Go to any pet store and tell them you have a dog that has escaped it's collar and they will help you find a solution. Harnesses are a tad tricky to put on, but if properly fitted, no dog is squirming out of one.

Many trainers insist only on neck collars. The dog will follow its head. So there's one answer.
@@AmandaTexas That applies to well trained and obedient dogs. Skittish or aggressive dogs need harnesses. There's really no reason _not_ to harness them in the first place.

I had a150 lb lab/Akita and he pulled out of his collar and ran away from my neighbor's elderly Pomeranian.

I have had several dogs pull hard enough to slip out of the collar so that is not a surprise.
I’ve got a husky mix, and if she’s determined, she will absolutely wriggle out of her collar.
And if she’s scared, she’s willing to choke herself to escape (as told to me by the rescue organization where I got her).
