There should be a cruzade against lion fish using efficient capture methods as drag them by large suction hoses into big net cages to be lifted above sea level and after send to be processed as animal food or manure.

I thought only humans are responsible for destroying coral reefs!! ha-ha

    • @KolkataMarineHobbyist

      Inded we are
Human are responsible for invasive lion fish in some parts of ocean
Human are responsible for abundance of clown of thorn starfish in some parts of ocean
Predators and prey are natural parts of ecosystem until someone disturb the balance
Invasive lion fish born in Pacific ocean only due to human intervention
Invasive clown of thorn starfish also born indirectly due to human activity
Clown of Thorn starfish keep reef in shape . Give opportunity for some slow growing corals to survive by eating some fast growing coral. But they become invasive when we disturb the balance
Their natural predator like the giant Triton shell are overly harvested over the decades due to human enjoyment .
Human pollute ocean water and giving more algae to grow , thus giving opportunity clown of throns babies to thrive .
      Thus we are responsible..
