the main thing here is our people go for foreign breeds when we have many puppies without food here

They thing foreign dogs are intelligent and stray dogs are fools. And they are such fools to think like that.

Yep. If you really love dogs then dont buy inbred dogs. You can pickup one for free from the street. Plus they need less medicines and eats local food insted of expensive imported dog food. You can help animals and the country at the same time.

I live in Sri Lanka too and I think Sri Lankan dogs should be treated better they are a lot more friendly than other country 🐕 example I used to play cricket with my brother and neibhoir their is street dog living in our neibhorhood we named it brown and he never ever attacked. us ever when the ball acidently hits him once a toodler started running towards him and though the toddler was waving his arms brown did even move and just ignored but another neibhoir has 3 Australian labrour dogs and would always attack once when the gate was open they ran towards me and allmost killed me so I think Sri Lankan dogs deserve better than this
The street dogs are just scared never in my life have i seen a dog that ignores people running towards them, I'm telling from experience
Sri lanak we love them but we cant help ol of them 😢if some body can open a bank account for sl hounds

I wonder what uncle deepal does for a living he seems rich to feed street dogs everyday and he speaks english fluently which is not common at all in sri lanka
In Sri Lanka sadly pets are not viewed as a family member instead like slaves

They are slaves. You don’t keep your family on leashes.
My girlfriends parents have two Sri Lankan Street dogs. They don't get treated like slaves.

I was born in Sri Lanka but moved to Australia at a young age. I have recently returned for a short visit, and I am disappointed and utterly disgusted by the handling of the stray dog problem In Sri Lanka. The people are indifferent, incapable of empathy. The government are also very pathetic in their handling of the country’s problems. I am ashamed to be from such a broken, cold, and heartless country.
So they are treated the same as other animals in your country how 😢
